He is probably most likely attempting to get her to perform oral sex on him!! It is actually (and quite shockingly to some people) very common for mother orangutans and their offspring to pleasure each other sexually and the most common way being through oral sex...and the little one will often perform it on mom as well...and sometimes they will actually have intercourse as well! It is common for male adults to also engage in all types of sexual behavior with the young males as well...with it usually being consensual and welcomed and participated in by the younger one, too!! I think it often surprises many people when they realize how much sexual behavior and incest goes on between orangutans of all ages, genders and family members!
Gina Powell Lol! I'm not surprised at all & just thought if was funny how he was trying to get her *little* nostril pried open. He got it in there for a couple seconds though. I've seen this & other types of sexual behavior before done on the mothers & anyone or anything else that's a hole they can attempt it with even a gibbon. Lol! I think she would have tolerated it more had he just let her do oral. I always find it funny when one minute they're wanting to nurse from their mom & the next minute they're trying to hump their mom. I've even seen them try doing both at the same time. I also like when they have their little tantrum too if they don't get their way.
