    You don't need to do all that! Just drop the glove box with 5 screws!!! (One is under on the left)

    Thanks for the video. This is ten times harder on an Infiniti than on a Toyota. Only one example of how much better the Toyota engineering is.

    The main thing about K&N filters is that they're cotton, as opposed to traditional paper-fiber filters. That's also what makes them washable. And its not truly "washing", its cleaning, with the K&N filter recharge kit.
    But great vid! Wish these were easier to change on G's 😂

    Just changed mine and this video made it a breeze. Besides the missing screw in the video, It looks like you're missing another screw on the left side of the glove box. Thanks for the content man.

    Holy shit, if yours wasn't changed in 5 years, mine must have been in there 10. I just finished changing mine. It was literally packed with leaves and shit. Every fold was full of junk. Pretty satisfying to fix though.

    @Motordyne G35 great video, I did it in like 5 minutes because of you!
    However you did say the remove both electrical connectors from the glove box(middle one and the left one). To my knowledge, the left one controls the airbags and should not be removed (but I don't think you ended up actually taking it off)

  • @icecubez130
    @icecubez130 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Was a pain in the ass to change but fairly straightforward thanks to this video. The old filter was gross, must not have been changed in a while and I don’t blame the previous owner. Also was able to replace the glovebox lightbulb with an LED one, it was the perfect opportunity with the glovebox pulled out. Definitely makes it a bit brighter inside.

    • @icecubez130
      @icecubez130 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fortunately my car didn't smell before when the A/C or heat was on. I changed it because I had bought the car used and figured the previous owner did not do it so I did a lot of maintenance as a preventative measure. If yours has a mildew smell now, it'll be a nice difference. For me i didn't notice much of anything, which I suppose is a good thing.

    I do believe my blower motor went bad in my 2007 g35. I have gone out & bought a new one in addition to a new cabin filter after watching this great video on how to put the filter I . My QUESTION IS, with the removal of all casements and boxes you have done in this video for the filter, can I just continue on taking that round white casement under the filter off to get to the blower motor? I am interested in doing this job today or tommorow. Thank you for your advice

      I have an 07 and it’s a bit diff. Looks like I may have to take glove box out first Because there is a little black box attached to the white box that houses the blower motor

    • @lablvr6000
      @lablvr6000 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I ended up taking the whole glove box out and can see everything now. Replaced my filter with the very same one you have here and about to start the blower motor installation. Think I’m most concerned with putting everything back together at this point..lol. Wish me luck ..I’m gonna need it

    • @lablvr6000
      @lablvr6000 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure if you know much about the blower motor but I did not have to unassembke the white encasement the motor is in, just unscrew 3 screws with a Phillips head and out it came 👍
      Now as I put the first wire hookup back into the new one, it does not connect all the way and ‘click in’ . I have tried it 2 diff ways and only fits the right way in but connection won’t go 100% I am kind of confused as to why, any suggestions you can give me I appreciate

    Love the exhaust bro but due to staying on budget I straight piped it from the cats back and noticed a loss In low end torque. Any way of fixing that while staying straight piped?

    • @MotordyneG35
      @MotordyneG35  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you!.......I understand being on a budget and Motordyne, is not for people on a budget because it is beyond what people are even willing to consider paying for an exhaust. But just like with anything, you always get what you pay for. I wouldn't be worried about the loss of power. I would be more worried about the car running lean because of the added air flow, which will make the motor run hot. To fix this problem, you need a tune. If not, you need to put your OEM CATS back on or your motor will eventually blow up.

    • @13984980
      @13984980 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Motordyne G35 The OEM cats are still on. I just got a Resonater and muffler delete but yeah a tune is something I am looking into. Just gotta find the right tuner.

    • @MotordyneG35
      @MotordyneG35  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Any modifications after the cats, really have very little effect on performance. The potatoes are still in the exhaust. You do not need a tune if you have OEM CATS. Usually when people say strait piped, that is what they mean. I see you say straight piped after the CATS, I misread your statement. No tune needed because there is no change in power. All that you did is change the sound. It is like putting a different piece at the end of a trumpet. The piping is the same at the front, but at the end when the air comes out you change the cone. Just a change of sound, nothing else. Move further up the piping, allow more air flow, then things start changing.
