  • Since I posted on the bad packing job, I decided to post on a good packing job win on a Bird 4391 Wattmeter I bought in the factory case with slugs. I mostly bought it for the slugs as often those old Bird 4381 and 4391 digital wattmeters don't work and the dual sandwiched PCB it has is a real PITA to work on. However, even if the wattmeter is dead, the dual line section it has is worth something alone, plus the slugs. This pack job is the way to do it. The seller or is it me, the buyer, gets a Win on this one.

'Congrats' on the sweet meters!' Sure is nice feeling when that package comes and the seller took the time to safely pack this kind of equipment for the ride! I'm always holding my breath when unboxing Lol. Doc, Question- I'm finding myself having to use 6ft and even longer jumpers to get to certain radio's from the amp on my tables. Things seem to be okay with this.. my match changes slightly (all staying below 1.5) and of course the amp tune can be slightly different as well but again nothing too different. I just dont want to mess anything up. Whats your take on jumper lenghts from meters to amp to radio? That would be a great video topic for you to do! Really enjoy your videos and thanks for other questions you've answered of mine! Been some crazy DX lately.. im always listening for you on the air, hope to hear you on AM or SSB sometime! 73' NB160 Jackson✌
