Amazing Bushcraft Tent made from Plastic Wrap!

- Hello! My name is Osman and I had a great idea - to make a hammock - tent from 10 rolls of plastic wrap. At first I choose a place where four trees stand at a convenient distance, knock down dry branches and make a base, winding the wrap until the roll ends. The base must be strong. I check to see if the wrap will break if I run into it. Wow! I was thrown back! Then I wrap the base to make it easier to make a hammock. The longitudinal layer is ready. It is quite strong that I can even safely fall on it. I make a cross layer - this required another roll. The hammock is finished. It is very strong and reliable. But suddenly it started raining, and I decided to make a roof. I make the roof according to the same scheme as the hammock. And to prevent water from getting inside, I make walls. One layer is enough. I close all sides, leaving only an entrance. Here is such an interesting hammock- tent I got! I only spent half the rolls! It's very simple and fast. For those who like to spend time in the woods, I advise you to try it!

I like that it is "Bushcraft" but you need 10 rolls of plastic wrap to do it. I always considered bushcraft something you would make from nature not something you need to clear a shelf in the grocery store for.

As a person who has spent many hours camping in the woods, this looks like a terrific idea. When you are ready to leave a few quick cuts with a knife or your nail scissors and the entire thing is ready to pack out. It is remarkably cheap and light weight. It looks a LOT more comfortable than sleeping on the ground and it looks like it can be completely weather proof. I'm impressed.

@@psychedlicsouljam1995 this is polyolefin, a type of plastic that is not recycled. MOST plastics can't physically be recycled, or could be but aren't for economic reasons. There's a reason you're encouraged to REDUCE, reuse and recycle. This is the REDUCE part as in don't use 20 pounds of plastic wrap on some dumb shit that's worse and also more expensive than just bringing a real tent. And I'd bet you any amount of money she didn't reuse it either.
You may be in a western country where these types of plastics are marked as "recyclable" And if so, that is a lie. What recyclable means in that context is "we pay to ship it overseas to a chinese 'recycling company' that puts it into a landfill over there for us, but because we send it to a recycling company we are legally allowed to say we recycle it"

Don't be scared by a one-off proof-of-concept. Seems like a issue for a certain segment of the population who can't differentiate between a singular demonstration and a large-scale implementation that's limited by a lot of factors like cost, weight, availability and usability. It's similar to the intelligence of, say, trying to regulate the sale of V12 super-cars: these things are so dang expensive that only 0.0000001% of drivers could afford them, and even fewer DO - so the environmental impact is absolutely negligible.

Спасибо. Есть одно "Маленькое" НО. Самая дешёвая палатка стоит 1200 рублей+-. Стоимость этих рулонов выйдет тысячи на две наверно. По весу они тоже скорей всего будут тяжелее и менее мобильные. Палатку можно использовать много раз, палатку поставить 20 минут максимум. Вывод такой, в моей голове не укладывается мотив этого мероприятия:D
