I had an older dewalt like this. It worked great. I had to sell it. But then regretted it this one is so much smaller.

I like this box but I've been through three (under warranty) as the compressor hates adding more than 15psi on my 3/4 truck, thought it was maybe a product malfunction but after the 2nd time... the air compressor is great for small car/truck applications, the jump side won't start my idi diesel. I have the 1600 jump box

The other guy might bought the 1400 Model that one is around $150. this one is the model 1600 Even Amazon sells this for the same price. I got mine at Home Depot today. I checked online and it's the same price everywhere. I am cheap so I always checked prices and do price matches =) even the guy said 3 months ago it's $197 lol it did not change,

@@wileecoyote5749 Even eBay sells used and this is $197+ tax. Just checked the price again lol because I can return this if I see it cheaper. There are 3 or 4 models for tire inflators. this one is all in 1 in 2 models 1400 $150+ and this one 1600 $199.

Really wish it took the Dewalt 20v batteries but I'm sure there's a reason it doesn't. I had a Battery Tender version of this tool and it worked fine but still only lasted for five years, just like the car battery it was and just like this jump pack. $200 for something that will crap out in a maximum of 7 years is something to think about before purchasing

Dewalt(or is licensed by) does make a smaller version that uses 20v batteries, the caveat is that it is a booster not jump starter, unlike the one shown in this video.

Will this charge a battery like a trickle charger?

Sla is dead. Lithium only way to go for boost pack if you actually use one regularly. Don’t care about air compressor, ac output, or usb. I got air on my truck and if I was going to actually use 120v I’d buy an inverter. Say what you want about Noco, but I have the gb150 and boosted lots of v8s below -30c /-22f. I don’t leave it in the truck overnight when it’s below -20c as that is bad for lithium, only thing that sla wins on

Mine won't jump shows the alternator symbol. But my harbor freight one does. Now the air compressor turn on but no air... does this junk ever last?

excuse the newbish question but why not connect to the negative of the battery, and where on the chassis do you connect? when you boost with another veicle you connect to the ground, but not here, but you dont explain why... thank you

You are actually supposed to do the same when jumpstarting. It helps to keep from zapping the electrical system of either vehicle.

@shop tool reviews you should review the DeWalt DXAE20VBB . It's a 18v tool battery powered jumper.

I've used the previous model. Major Flaws: charging it takes HOOOOOURS. and if it's fully drained, forgetaboutit smh. The charger prongs are typical 2 prong style like at the end of an extention cord, but it's fixed and cannot be pulled out so you need to find an extension cord with a slim housing around the end to connect to it. The digital meter does not give out a proper reading anymore so keep an eye on it when pumping your tires or it'll keep going as it won't Trigger the auto stop. Does it inflate and jump batteries, yes. It's always successfully done so.
