How to Grow Proteas: Pre-Treatment of Seeds. My Secret Recipe!

Hi all! Today i'll be showing you how to Pre-treat your Protea seed for planting out later.
The Soaking solution is this:
1L of water
40mL of Hickory liquid smoke
60mL of Infuse Bonide systemic fungicide
30mL of Vitamin B1
and remember...24 hours! don't skimp on the soaking time! we really want it to absorb.

Protea seeds germinate by smoke which triggers germination you can use smoke from a fire to smoke protea seeds to trigger germination

That Bonide Infuse is restricted in Hawaii , is there an alternative ? maybe go without it? Hydrogen peroxide?
