I'm 47 so probably not your usual demographic. This tutorial is a godsend as I've never been a makeup wearer and literally have no idea what I am doing! Having finally mastered a robust skincare routine, makeup is my next challenge!
I have been watching your makeup and skincare videos for over 2-3 years now, I noticed how you've become so much more confident in your approach with makeup application, and how you talk about it!
I’m forever thankful for your transparency with us Soph. This is why you’ve been my favourite beauty influencer for ages now. I know I can trust you and that’s so uncommon in todays world Editing to add: congrats on the Maybelline sponsorship!! Get that bag!!!!
Thank you so much for not using blurring filters on your skin and being so real with us, Soph. We appreciate you. ❤ We have similar skin and seeing you so chill and okay with having normal skin (as we should) makes me feel okay and better about mine. 😊
awesome video 💛 I love how Soph always shows us the REAL skin texture & is being honest. as a girl with acne who’s been struggling for over ten years, I appreciate you so much
your transparency is what makes u unique and i absolutely adore you for that. you're the only influencer i can relate to when it comes to acne and just showing your beautiful natural skin
I know I said this before, but again, I love how real you are compared to other beauty TH-camrs. You let the products do their work and not the filters!
I’m a 50 yo Frenchie, grew up in Paris and moved to London 25 years ago. This is the make up every French girl/woman does for everyday - especially the flicking out the mascara and using the bronzer on the nose and crease + under eye definition. It looks elegant yet understated. 👌🏼
What are your thoughts of the Maybelline skin tint Vs the L'oreal skin tint? Shade range, finish, longevity and how the skin feels after. Even a side by side wear test would be cool. 💝💝
As a head-to-toe freckled person, I am continually stupefied by the drawn on freckle phenomenon. Stupefied. I am going to travel this summer and that blush lipstick concealer trick will come in very handy. You do look amazing with this make up look. That lipliner and lipstick color looks amazing.
I can't wait to try this. Since hitting 30 I've found that most foundations just emphasis my fine lines and forehead lines now 😭😭 so lightweight products are what I need now 😍😍 thanks Soph, always trust your recommendations 🧡
I'm 33 this year and have the same sort of issues. I've recently bought the Garnier BB cream (I used it years ago) and it's a game changer. My skin looks flawless which isn't something I usually say. I thoroughly recommend
I'm also 33 and retinol has been my best friend for fine lines among other things. My mom is in her mid 60's and her skin is amazing from using Retinol for so long. 😊
Congrats on the Maybelline sponsorship - they're a g.o.a.t. 😎 We used our lipstick for blush YEARS ago (I'm 54); nothing new under the sun, love seeing the old tricks still around 😉. YOU are a doll! Thanks for not using filters & thanks for the tips Soph ✌🏾
I’d love to see another video of trying subscribers makeup hacks/tips ❤ something I’ve discovered recently is getting some setting spray on my sponge to tap under my eyes and get rid of the creasing (before eye makeup) I feel like it helps set it more than just spraying your face so it’s less likely to crease throughout the day
i really love this look! was wondering whether you preferred the maybelline superstay skin tint or the L’Oréal skin tint? thank you for another amazing video xx
Congratulations on this cool sponsorship! I’m so proud of you!! ❤ Hugs and kisses from Israel 🇮🇱 🎉 Soph, do you have a PO Box? I would like to send you some Middle Eastern Make-up to try, as an idea for very-hot-humid (also very-hot-dry-desert 😂) makeup video with some new products? Think about it! ❤
I came across the new maybelline skin tint in Superdrug a few weeks ago and quickly went on your socials to see if you'd tried it cause I truly trust your opinion on what's worth the money ❤ I ended up buying it anyway and I absolutely love it so I'm super glad you love it too!
Maybelline if you are watching please bring the square loose powder you sell in the USA to the UK! It is the best like Soph has said for yearssss!!! I have to agree having lived in the US now the UK! Great vid and now I am not scared to try the lighter face product as I am a more full-coverage girl! Great for summer it seems for sure! xx
I would love to see a video testing make up that is trending on tik tok (for example, the pink honey face frosting, hnb foundation etc) or I’d also love to see a make up declutter! I love those videos and i love you ❤️
You are always bring us the good stuff soph sponsored or not we know you got our back and are out for the truth! You beautiful as ever thanks for the amazing video as always, Love you!
I picked up the skin tint this week and love it! I think it’s finally got me out of my L’Oreal BB cream chokehold. I’m finding it’s wearing really well in the warmer weather and looks great at the end of the day ❤
Soph, I'm 49, obviously my skin has changed over the years along with the products I used to use. I love this look. You look beautiful 😍 I have dryer skin, not alot of wrinkles, yet, but can't stand heavy foundation anymore. Definitely going to try this skin tint. Thanks, love your videos. I have light to medium skin, what color do you recommend for a bronzer/contour for The concealer? Have a great weekend 😊
@Maggie-cr3ix Thank you! I never knew about contouring until maybe 3,4 yrs ago. Boy, when you are in your 20s, 30s & even early 40s, you take for granted your skin, etc. Now thanks to the start of menopause I got a little belly, a cpl sunspots, etc. Lol
Lovely make up. Looks so pretty and natural looking. The colours really suited you aswell Soph! Ive bought the maybelline skin tint, cant wait to try! Love your videos and personality! 🙂😊
I used to feel really insecure about my freckles to the point that I was looking for ways to get rid of them, but since watching your videos every time I’m starting to hate them I just tell myself “Oh Soph said she loves freckles so it’s fine” haha 😂
I love this summery look. I used to do that with my lashes when I was 15 back in the 90s . I will have to start doing it again now my lashes have grown longer ❤
I absolutely love this tutorial & this look, Soph; can't wait to try it out for myself!! I've actually been considering trying either a tinted moisturizer or skin tint soon, so maybe I'll go for this Maybelline skin tint you used in this video! As a regular watcher of your channel + content, I just wanted to mention that I think your ads & promotions are always very tastefully done and quite helpful, and never too much -- hoping that sharing this sentiment might help to ease some of those "icky" feeling you mentioned in your last video 🤍 Side note -- do you have any affiliate links that can be used in the USA ... Maybelline or otherwise?? I'd love to support you in that way if at all possible but I'm stuck over here across the pond 🤣😅
Yayy! Loved this video! This is my go to work makeup style too, its effortless but gorgeous! I'm actually looking for a new skin tint and this looks beautiful🥰
Thank you for this video! I don’t use make-up but love watching your videos. I want to add a little bit of make-up for my wedding & will now be using this video! Thank you so much for your content! ❤️
This really helps I've been finding lately when I put my make up on and then the setting spray that throughout the day my mascara looks like it has smudged so I will try it this way , thank you
I grew up reading my grandmothers comic/magazine books (they where A4 size hard backs, sold before magazines/comics became what they are today) and they had make up ideas ext in them so I would practice with them. And the one I use to this day (I'm almost 40) is the lipstick for blusher. It means your matching, its quick easy and if you don't have much time for yourself eg single mum like me means you can do your whole face in 5 mins run out the door and still look realtivly human lol 😂✨
I know you did a video where you took the most mentioned makeup from viewers routines and tried them, maybe you could do that again or maybe you could choose a person or people at random and follow their instructions and use the products or like swap makeup bags with a friend or something like that? It’s always interesting to see your take on different make up products or routines
I really enjoyed this video! I enjoy seeing other people's routines. Do you think you can do a video on base makeup with a powder puff. And give your opinions. Please thank you!
Consider me influenced! The skin tint is the exact kind of product I need. How have you found it with dry patches? I've been struggling heaps lately with my foundations clinging to my dry patches on/around my acne scars but still becoming an oil slick in my T-zone. Thank you in advance!
I really want to try the foundation, but here in Sweden they decided to only sell the lighter shades😏… The foundation looks really good on you, just the right amount of coverage. 💕
hi soph! my name is lauren and i was wondering how you get your acne scars cleared up so well, i have a lot of acne scars so if there a certain product you use i would love to know
Perfect soph, you give brillaint tips, even me as an oldie can achieve a beautiful finish.❤ I use hourglass mascara and it's so wet, anyone got any ideas how I can make it dryer. I really love the staying power, and would love to keep using it. Thanks if anyone has an idea.❤

I think the general rule is 2-3 shades darker than your regular concealer to do the contour:)

Holiday inspo makeup for me!! Loved this ❤️
the shade: Moon for the lifter gloss was my fav lipgloss for 2+ years but they stopped selling it where i live and i was devasted!!
I have to say I was very impressed with this foundation for coverage on your skin a lovely girl like you only needs blusher eyes done and lipstick.
I’ve been doing lipstick as cream blush! Didn’t fancy going and buying another make up item lol
Since you’re working with Maybeline, maybe you could ask them to bring the loose fit me powder to the Uk lol 😂❤

When you were in talks with Maybelline over this sponsored video, did you ask why they don't stock the Fit Me loose powder in the UK?
Could you maybe to a korean skincare try out someday? Super interested in that kinda stuff, but don’t have an overview of the best stuff whatsoever ^^
Trying watching James/Robert Walsh. They’re UK based and do lots on Korean skincare/beauty
