I'm so happy you mention this issue of people opening things that aren't testers to use as testers. I've been to several countries that have this very annoying issue. I don't understand why people do that when the testers are RIGHT THERE. And the worst is when it happens in beauty stores like Sephora. Like why??????

Yes, their lip liners are so good! I lost mine when I was visiting my sister up in Aberdeen & grabbed one in Boots as it looked a similar to my Refy one & wow!! I've now saved myself £10+ on lip liners ~ good old Natural Collection 🙃

I'm obsessed with the NYX butter melt collection. The best shade for me that I reccomend as we have a similar skin tone is the shade know butta. It's a beautiful pinky peach shade with a soft golden glow. Absolutely love it!! Here in Australia we only have 4 shades which kinda sux but I do have know butta aswell. It's cure but abit too cool tone for me. It's depth is fine if I'm doing a grunge look but it's pigment is so intense. I feel the shade know butta is abit more user friendly and universally flattering. 💝💝

I still use Rimmel eyebrow pencil because I prefer I sharper point as it makes hairs look more real. Also you’ll LOVE Mean Girls the musical! It’s like the most recent movie but better!! 💕

Yes I sometimes use the wet n wild brow pencil that you must sharpen... It has good pigment and actually lasts quite a while

Hi soph the mascara that you used I have that one and there’s 2 sides to the brush use the round side first to give some volume then the flat side to lengthen takes a bit of practice but it’s my new favourite ❤️

Those butter melt blushes look stunning! Also I picked up the eyebrow gel thingy but in clear and I love it! I don’t like to use tinted ones because I have such sparse brows that it just gets all over my skin 😅

Sharpen pencils are wood and can be reduced. Twist ones are plastic. Guess it depends on how you consider the environment. I use recyclable sharpen ones

I wonder if the foundation/concealer was made to pair with the better than filters because quite often I'll just use that and concealer as my base and that's why it's a hybrid.

I had that same problem with those NYX blushes. They're SOO pigmented that even with the lighest tap I ended up with too much. And I'm a heavy blush girly. The color was just so intense. I wish they had some lighter shades. At least that means there should be good options for those with deeper skin tones than I have! I'm very pale, lol

Hey soph, what are your favorite go-to highlighters?? I really like the wet look but I find that some are hard to blend or have chunky shimmer pieces
In case Soph won't see this: I absolutely love that wet pearly sheen look. I despise glitters or shimmers that look too unnatural.
I recently found two cream ones that I adore.
1. The Holika Holika Butter Melting Highlighter Stick in Champagne
2. The one.two.free* creamy highlighing balm in 01 Pearl (*bought at Douglas, not sure you have that store). The otf is in a little pot, but if you use a tiny pointed powder puff applicator you can easily get something out and get a gorgeous result. Actually works great with powder highlighter too.
Two liquid highlighters that I've been using for ages are
1. the L'Oréal Glow Mon Amour highlighting drops in 01 Sparkling Love. It's a golden champagne.
2. One that's between liquid and cream (think consistency of a blush or highlight that's in a tube) and also gives a gorgeous wet effect is the Max Factor Miracle Glow Pro Illuminator - universal highlighter. Pinkish champagne.
I love all of these and even consider myself done buying until I've finished them. And then I'll buy all 4 again, unless a miracle happens and an even better product comes along.

I still use a brow pencil occasionally. I keep a bag of makeup at my parents’ house because I stay there about once a fortnight for a few days and I don’t like having to take makeup with me every time. At home I just use a tinted brow gel like Benefit Gimme Brrow but it dries out before I can finish it over there. One time I was there I realised I had no brow products there and bought the cheapest thing I could find in their local Superdrug which was the Studio London wooden pencil.

I almost got the whole set 4 years ago from skinny dip and I wear my pendent necklace and ear cuffs daily and I recently lost one of my cuffs and would love to re purchase.
They were my staple feels horrid not having it.

Not sure if all Boots shops do that, but I love how they have the creams' empty boxes on display and if you want a certain product, you bring the box to the register and they give you the product. I feel like they should do that with makeup as well. May be a pain in the arse, but at least there won't be wasted makeup products destroyed by fools.

I'm the other way round. I love autumn and winter and wish it was winter more than summer. I hate hot weather. I cannot regulate my own body temperature due to illness and the summer is such a huge struggle for me... 😣🙂

Yes, your lips can get sunburned 😭 mine did when I was 12 and were blistered for three weeks. I use spf chapsticks now to be safe.
