Something important here: he confidently talked about his prior insecurities. The pick up artists back then didn't do a good job about talking about vulnerability but it takes big confidence to do that

    • @user-ex6nd8dq8w
      @user-ex6nd8dq8w 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

The professional pick-up artists as well as dedicated amateurs were researching that stuff and they were testing everything and noting it down. They had quickly figured out that sharing insecurities, vulnerabilities as well as self-deprecating humour was N O T conducive to successful flirting. Sharing insecurities and self-deprecating humour were only conducive to becoming more likeable to a general audience only once one has attained considerable status, not when one is a nobody. At that point in 2006 Strauss was a successful journalist and writer and had trained with Mystery to become a pick up artist himself. His acquired notoriety worked for him, hence sharing insecurities or self-deprecating was gaining him likes, not endangering his status.

The first initiative he took was giving a very brief hello & walking past her. He then started with his immediate opener talking about his methods to spark the interest. Then crossed his right leg over his left, creating a barrier to block her out & turned more toward Jimmy. This sparked the need for attention. He kept his head straight & shoulders back. Everything was relaxed. He shows his teeth a lot when smiling & laughing. Used great conversation skills balancing a ratio of listening & talking when he was "given permission" to. He uses hand gestures with his palm up toward the ceiling. This is more inviting than palms down or pointing & looks rather intelligent.

@@EmmettXIV Exactly. He was " amoging" him. When you read the comments you see alot of narcissists who are shaming him, and people who are desperat to get " likes". But most are to self obsessed to notice that he is actually playing with them right in this scene. The game is playing out all the time on both a consious and unconsious level. The game for attraction, and the need for attension. You can see the host trying to assert himself as the dominant male. But Neil outsmarts him by beeing realy humble instead of the narcissistic asshole they think he is ( But that he became in that period, but later worked hard to get out of).
The sad part that most people dismissed, is that Neil whole point in the book was a confession of his struggle for self acceptance and that was the driving force to learn pickup. The hatred in society is 100 times worse today against men who want to learn to socialise and to be better with females. Culture has changed, technology has changed ( from calling, texting to dating apps). But the game is still the same. That is human nature is the same as it has always been.

For instance, "negging" is something they learned from hot chicks, girls neg guys all the time. You want to talk manipulative behavior?? Look no further than unusually attractive women in their 20s, the only difference is that qthey do these things innately. That and it is socially unacceptable to critique women for how to they flirt

You are right, some of them use the pua techniques to get many women, but others, who have never dated before, use it only once to get the love of their life. I know one who did. And accusing him for hating women (???) is just unfair, like he is not worthy of love because he didn't know how to approach a girl. Most men are unprepared when they go out to chat up a girl. Their agenda is the same as a pua, except they don't know how to make a honourable representation of themselves. It is like going unprepared to a job interview. You can't do that. The book "The Game" opened my eyes to a world i never knew existed 10yrs ago. I don't like scripted pickup lines as they're not authentic and creepy to use. but learning how to effectively communicate with people on a deeper level is what i really learned from the PUA community. That's something most self-help business seminars/classes fail to teach.

Lifestyle with Abby basically his 'game' is putting princesses like you in their place lmao. This society has made girls believe they are top shit because they look good and guys should run after that. He literally says to a girl I'm sure who's more beautiful than you that he doesn't give a fuck about her looks, what else can you offer and watch Jessica Alba get flustered causes she never had to think of that before as opposed to getting what she wants with her looks.
Now she's looking at ways to impress him instead of the other way around. At that point you're done.

He did remarkably well under difficult circumstances. I kept waiting for him to slip up and slide into smarmy arrogance or have some kind of stuttering nerd breakdown, but he avoided both extremes and came off as kind of humble and likable, even when Kimmel insulted him a bit at the end. I think most PUA "gurus" would have pushed back, but he just rolled with it.
Still think he threw away a promising journalism career to become a PUA huckster, but at least he's a competent PUA huckster.

He ran game as soon as he entered the room.
    - It started with his first interaction with her. He was composed and seemed to not care about her being a celebrity. He kept the same composure throughout the interview.
    - The Britney Spears and Tom Hanks stories were his social proof/circles. From there she knew he must be a big shot since he hang around other top celebs.
    - Then he ignored her and focused on Jimmy. Letting her trying to get his attention and qualifying herself. Funny enough he even explained exactly what he was doing in the interview.
    - Last one was that whatever bad jokes Jimmy sent at him he always took it with a laugh. Calm and composure under the pression are signs of leadership (aka Alpha). Most guys would've gotten mad or would've tried to reply with something mean too.
She definitely wasn't attracted to him but she was curious. Her body language showed interest. Even if she is an actress there are things she just can't fake.
And for those saying it wouldn't work in a different setup, well duh. She's f'ing Jessica Alba, do you expect her to just casually talk to some random dude who's dressed like that? But if that setup was a private party full of top celebs and Style was there then, it might've worked.

The techniques in the pickup community are all about developing your confidence. I used to try a lot of the pickup routines and ultimately I just ended up feeling empty. But it definitely develops your confidence - if you live life being afraid to do anything or go places you'll never do anything or go places, it's as simple as that. If you have the balls to just enjoy life &take new experiences as they happen. Just stop being afraid of what "could be" or "should be" and live in the moment

But i think what really boosted him a lot is the whole process of "picking up" girls and him being projected as that whole image of being a legend at what he does- this guy will know that whatever he does will actually work because of this- his such high confidence makes him seem invulnerable, at the end of the day he isnt any different from anyone else- just more experienced and positive.
