The fact that he is still so concerned with her feelings even though he is uncomfortable shows that fatherly love never goes away. I have the intense need to go and hug my little girl now. Love you Scott and Bailey.

And I feel like he knows but he doesn’t. He called her a girl and then corrected himself and called her a lady. It was like his vocabulary gave us a clue that somewhere in there he knows she was his little girl.

Beautiful! It reminds me of when my grandma had Alzheimer's and said "I feel like I should know you." And gave me a big hug. It doesn't matter what we call each other or if we remember how we're related, so long as we feel loved.

Brought me to tears😢. That’s Love people. Saw an Email once with a Good message, where a Man visits his Wife every day without missing, she is suffering from Dementia. The Doctor asked him, “Why do you come every day to see her?… she doesn’t even remember who you are anymore !:…. And her Husband replies, “Yes, but I remember who SHE IS!”… Beautiful! Nice Job Bailey, God Bless you and your Dad. I’ve never had to deal with this in my Family, but you, You make me Proud!

How something makes you feel always has a bigger hold than what you know or what you remember. You may not remember every detail about someone or the details of a certain event, but you will remember the emotions that came from it. I'd consider that a bittersweet solace for Bailey and Scott's situation. Not ideal, but you still have something there to hold on to.

This is when you need visual aids for him. Get photo's from the past up until now. As we all know the past is easier than the present. I've been there done that and yes I was guttered but I gained a job cos she thought i was a nurse and I just ran with it because it's about them not us.
