Great question! If you nail down the type of client you want to attract, then you can create packages around that. This is what I have found successful if you are really niching down. Then you don't have to think too much about quotes all of the time. It REALLY depends on the industry you are designing for and your ideal pricepoint.

I have two paying clients right now and one passion project that will hopefully pay me when they are up and running officially. Guys, I'm a Brazilian designer and I want to do work for foreigners. My question is what the average price for 1 flyer? And for 1 social media project?
How do you get customers to understand why logos have this price? It seems common to have people who are starting their own business to balk at a 50 dollar logo? How can they realize what you're doing for them?
It comes down to how you position yourself for them. Are you saying you do a logo? Or are you saying you help create a brand that will attract their right audience?
What if you work as a freelancer for a branding agency? Should the price be higher since they will sell my project at a higher rate? I need some advice about pricing a branding project that will take about 2 weeks for a branding agency, thank you!
If this is a brand identity project that will be 2 weeks, I would look at what you want to be making in a month. So let's say you want to make $6000/month and a branding project will take you 2 weeks. You should charge no less than $3000. Sometimes branding agencies will ask you to charge less if they have you on a retainer basis, meaning they keep feeding you clients because then you don't have to go out and acquire the clients, you see? Will this be a long-term arrangement or just a one-off project with them? It also depends where you are located and what the cost of living is there.
I cant just develop a general graphic design business? I was thinking of just buying ads on Google and have a nice portfolio of book covers, company logos, album covers, website banners, etc. I was hoping I could just get found by anyone whos looking up "graphic design" since they could see my work on the website id be making.
You are going to find it will be MUCH harder to stand out amongst all other graphic designers that come up in a search for "graphic design." Even in ads. Whereas if you chose on specific type of design, the search results will be much less, making your chances of being found much higher. If you want to grow fast, choose one and go all in on it. I tried both routes and was able to majorly escalate my growth with going to one specific niche. Whereas before I was lucky to make $2000 in a month, I was able to make $11,000 and above.

I’m only 2 years into graphic design, and I want to charge a brand identity w/ strategy and brand guidelines package of $2,500, do you think this is reasonable? I don’t like to explicitly tell where I’m from unless asked (I’m not from the US), I feel as though some clients hire non-US designers so they can get cheap labor which I don’t think is right.

Yes I would advise keeping the price for the first one or two. But then start increasing with each new one you get. I found it’s a gradient approach of your own belief in yourself and seeing them that clients will hire you for more and before you know it you are charging double, triple and five times what you were charging.
very helpful video. I've recently been doing design work for a local Burlesque/drag group in Austin TX. I've done full design packages fro a couple of their shows. everything from show poster, social media announcements, and individual premier phot designs. The group is run by a couple of friends so I've basically been doing it for nearly nothing.I have recently had a couple other groups reach out, but I'm not sure what to charge for the package. Curious to see what you would charge for something like this.
Glad to help! How many social media announcements do you do per show? You should have a package for this of at least $1000 per show. And possibly more depending on how much work the premier photo designs take. Also how many shows do they do a month?
Are you asked for Canva design templates so they can edit them? If you’re a pro designer and you’re providing pro designs to a client then there’s no reason to charge any differently.
If you’re providing templates that they will then use you can also charge higher, as the value is more than just a one-off design but rather something they can use over and over.
Hey there! I downloaded your pdf document that you gave away and i have a question for you. What if the quality of the work will be upper mid to high end? Is it ok to jump in starting with the mid prices then, if you're business will be new?

Not silly at all! The reason the prices are lower at the beginning is to get more business and get yourself known, but if you feel you can attract business with the mid range then go for it!

Say if I were to try with the low range prices how long do you think I should do it until its safe to raise the prices? Id be increasing everything as high as you said they could be stretched lol. I think that if you are doing a full strategy you should be charging at least $5000. There is so much research that goes into this.

When you have your portfolio built up and good testimonials. It really depends what your niche is.
