I found you have to go a shade or two lighter than you think. I am normally neutral but got shade 4 (cool) and it works just fine. For reference, I am normally shade 100 in Haus labs. The shade matcher said I would be shade 5, but I do not suit warm undertones at all. This foundation did not oxidise on me at all. I found this foundation to be glowier than Haus labs etc, but not as long wearing. So if you are looking for longevity, you won't want this. But it is very complimentary on fine lines
I am very interested in this new release from Saie! I love their dew blush and glowy super gel. My favorite serum foundation is from LYS; it's actually become my #1 foundation. I think I might try this one in the Sephora sale, but the price on LYS is hard to beat.
I adore you! I bought it bc of you. Can you compare side by side this and another (one of your faves) tinted serums. But add your usual items like primer, powder, etc. 🎉❤

I think the shade you picked is fine - it went on a bit lighter and warmed up to match your warm skin tone (on my screen it looks like a perfect match). It wore really well IMO. (I have one question: I have very large pores on and around my nose and most foundations create ugly pore-craters, I would like to know if you can recommend any of the new foundations you have tried lately. Good to know about the LM. I have dry skin, and have the very expensive Chanel Sublimage le Teint, the one in a pump. I need to try this foundation by Saie. Anything that says matte in it, is a hell no! For me.

I’ve tried the KVD, the LMercier, and the Gucci and so far thinking I prefer the KVD best. I have fairly normal skin and find a light layer of clarins face oil or primer oil like glossier futurdew before applying makes the KVD and Gucci look especially lovely. I didn’t like the longevity of the Laura Mercier on me and am returning. If the Saie is similar, I might strike out with it.

If you love the KVD and the Gucci, and great tip to put the little bit of primer oil underneath, and if the longevity of the LM wasn’t quite there for you, I am a bit worried about what you will think about this one. Hello Persia! I do indeed think this would hold up in tropical weather but there is no doubt the KVD and the Gucci would be better as they are so matte. Have you seen the new Patrick Starr one size primer that’s made for heat and sweat? I wonder how that would help with everything? I don’t think it’s been released yet.

Oh, I really like this one! Your skin looks radiant, plump and juicy (in a good way). I am used to having to do a bit of smoothing in my smile lines when I look in the mirror so that’s not a big deal. However, what is a big deal is the news that you are trying to quit sugar. That is a food group for me! I should quit too but there are so many delicious things that are filled with sugar that I would be lucky to make it an hour.
I gotta tell you. I’m counting macros now to finally take off my lockdown weight. We all came out of lockdown but my weight stayed. So I can have sugar BUT there’s so much fat that I go way over on grams. But I’m going to have to work it back in because I’m getting sugar cravings like a mad woman. I’m gonna eat the foundation. Haha.

Oh wow. That’s a good comparison. I had to stop and think for a second before I responded. They are both dewy but in a totally different way. This new one is more of a highlighting reflective quality. And that’s stating it way too dramatically. It’s not that dramatic but the reflective quality is more highlight-based, if that makes sense. The Chanel product is truly much more of a sort of wet look. in terms of coverage, the Saie will build a little bit better. All around I think I might prefer the Chanel but both are beautiful and they both feel amazing on the skin. But in terms of a look… I think I might prefer the Chanel just buy a teeny bit. It’s tough to compare them though

Wait hold on I just wore this all day in Dubai hot humid climate and I have super oily skin but this was seriously wowwwwwwww on another level!! I wore la roche efflcar Matt moisturiser then paired it with the new glow blur primer and then set it with wet n wild loose translucent powder 😎 it stayed flawless

Before I get to the end which you may answer this, does it need to be powdered? Does it sink in to the point where there is zero transfer? (any serum foundation)
I have not had transfer with this or any of the other serum foundations. They all kind of become one with the skin. Now, Having said that. This one is the most illuminating of all that I have reviewed and therefore remains a tad bit sticky and when I say a tad bit I mean a tad bit. So powder in certain areas would not hurt but is not a requirement.
I just got this foundation in 2 shades to test... 8 & 9... I'm light to light medium with warm tones. I was really shocked to see how dark 9 was! (Esp. since they say those two shades are a match to their "slip tint" in shade 3... because shade 3 in that one is pretty light for me!) But 8 looks like it would be a pretty good match. However, I have to see how big of an issue the leaky packaging is... Because for $40 that might be a deal-breaker for me. I'm also shocked that there isn't even ONE bad review for this on Sephora yet! But they all seem to be incentivized so we shall see!
Do not worry at all. The packaging is not leaky. It’s just from when you dispense the product, it is so thin. If I had just given at one quick wipe, it would not have reappeared 💕
I am not a huge fan of the ilia Super serum. It separated on me. But many are saying it’s very similar. The Kosas is very good but this is better and sinks into the skin more if that makes sense and about the same as the tower 28 in terms of shine. But all-around kind of a newer formulation for these types of foundations and therefore worth a try.
I wish I would have got a sample first! This one was a huge miss for me…it must be my skin type- very slippery like oil- I even applied it to a bare face without my normal skincare with powder and I still look like an oily mess! Am I doing something wrong??
@Not Fit for Print Beauty it sure is, I'm going to keep wearing it over the next couple of days, i want to see how it works with the Huda Glowish blur jam, but it did work really well with the Laura Mericier primer
Re: Oxidation. Oil in skincare even when mixed with a moisturizer will oxidize it. If anyone has trouble with oxidized foundation it could be facial oil. You demo it on your hand. 💜

Hello Belinda! It feels so light weight on the skin that you don’t even know it’s there. I actually do not have the matching powder as I just don’t powder things very much so I use the few that I have.

I’m such a fan of the lys serum foundation that I don’t think I’ll try this one especially with having to build so much. I already have a super viscose liquid with my Pat McGrath. This video saved me the trouble!
I still use other serums underneath. I think they are making the most of the fact that they have skin care ingredients in the product but, at this point, you’re really not gonna put anything on your face that doesn’t already have skin care ingredients in it and it’s probably not enough to throw you off your current skin care routine in the morning. I think if you skipped one day it’s no big deal but do you have to skip? Nah

(Esp. since they say those two shades are a match to their "slip tint" in shade 3... because shade 3 in that one is pretty light for me!) But 8 looks like it would be a pretty good match. However, I have to see how big of an issue the leaky packaging is... Because for $40 that might be a deal-breaker for me. I'm also shocked that there isn't even ONE bad review for this on Sephora yet! But they all seem to be incentivized so we shall see!
Do not worry at all. The packaging is not leaky. It’s just from when you dispense the product, it is so thin. If I had just given at one quick wipe, it would not have reappeared 💕
How does this compare to the Ilia super serum spf and Kosas foundation spf? Is it shiner than Tower28?
I am not a huge fan of the ilia Super serum. It separated on me. But many are saying it’s very similar. The Kosas is very good but this is better and sinks into the skin more if that makes sense and about the same as the tower 28 in terms of shine. But all-around kind of a newer formulation for these types of foundations and therefore worth a try.
I wish I would have got a sample first! This one was a huge miss for me…it must be my skin type- very slippery like oil- I even applied it to a bare face without my normal skincare with powder and I still look like an oily mess! Am I doing something wrong??

I think this one might be a bit too glowy for me, and i have the Laura Mericier foundation, and so far , I really like it 😊
That Laura Mercier has been a solid in my rotation since the day I bought it. It’s very good.

Re: Oxidation. Oil in skincare even when mixed with a moisturizer will oxidize it. If anyone has trouble with oxidized foundation it could be facial oil. You demo it on your hand. 💜

Hello Belinda! It feels so light weight on the skin that you don’t even know it’s there. I actually do not have the matching powder as I just don’t powder things very much so I use the few that I have.

@@belindafischer2920 you definitely do not need to use the regular products you would normally use. I just do because I like my morning routine and, since I mostly work from home admittedly, it’s all sorted by the time I put on my make up.
I’m such a fan of the lys serum foundation that I don’t think I’ll try this one especially with having to build so much. I already have a super viscose liquid with my Pat McGrath. This video saved me the trouble!

I still use other serums underneath. I think they are making the most of the fact that they have skin care ingredients in the product but, at this point, you’re really not gonna put anything on your face that doesn’t already have skin care ingredients in it and it’s probably not enough to throw you off your current skin care routine in the morning. I think if you skipped one day it’s no big deal but do you have to skip? Nah
