I love this foundation ❤️ I got shade 1C even though I normally wear a neutral undertone but Guerlain runs warm. So, 1C is perfect!! It’s actually very comparable to B20 in Chanel that I wear. I have an oily Tzone but this foundation works fabulous. I really want to try the Burberry one as well.
I do have an oily T zone and prefer a neural tone. I usually wear my Dior Forever Matte in shade 1 N. I need a foundation that would last on me on a 12 hour shift . I would love to try this foundation but the price is high for me to pick the wrong shade. My local Sephora doesn’t carry this brand in-store. Did it oxidize on you? Thank you for sharing. I just might try the 1C.

This looks lovely on you, Rebecca. Can't wait for round up, i like a natural looking foundation, and i do think the Laura Mericier gives me that. I have combo skin normal/oily T zone but i don't want super matte. This one looks good. I was going to try the KVD serum foundation or the Gucci but alot of people are saying it dries down quick so I'm not sure.
I'm feeling like the Gucci and KVD are LOVELY but if you have ANY dry patches at all, even ones you didn't know about, those two foundations will find them for ya!

Interesting... I really like the way that applied and the coverage doesn't look heavy at all. I have Sahara desert dry skin, and prime with Hourglass no. 28 primer to keep the foundation from looking cakey, and I was hesitant about these foundations. I might try this one.
I got this one to try after gucci stopped my favorite hoping it works similarly. Loo sephora said that one or Armani and I lobe the luminesce gucci on and seen they went to matte but gucci was bomb on mh skin

The Laura Mercier might be the best bet. I would have said Saie but I’m hearing bad things from way too many people and comments here. I actually liked it on me but it is not my favorite.

Hello, thanks for the great reviews. I have a question about the Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint Foundation. Compared to the MAC Studio Fix Every-wear All - over Face Pen (concealer and foundation) - how much does the foundation stick to the skin or in other words how easy is it to get it off the face? With the MAC I have the problem that I have to clean too much with my dry skin... Greetings from Vienna, Maria
I totally understand. Those are both serum foundations so they really do cling to the skin. My recommendation with any serum foundation is to start with an oil based cleanser and follow with a foaming cleanser. The oil based cleanser will dissolve all of the make up while moisturizing your skin and then the cleanser just gently washes it all off. The cleanser should be gentle of course not harsh but foaming.

@@wordupbuttercup ok excellent. My suggestion is two parts. I would contact a department store counter and ask their recommendation. I would also call their customer service or email and ask if you can send in a photo with no makeup in natural light for a shade match. You’d be surprised how much that helps. The counter at nordstrom, Saks or Neimans can be great too in any old city that you call.
I love Guerlain. It’s one of my favorite brands. I wore the Lingerie De Peau foundation and concealer for years until they discontinued it out of the blue. I now have trust issues with any complexion products they put out. I might get a sample of this to try. They make good stuff.
Yessss. It’s so true. Trust issues with a brand. Absolutely. You know, when I think about the most beloved products in my collection, their bronzers, their meteorites…they really are just exemplary. But yep. Don’t just discontinue things out of the blue!!

I switched to one of theirs after my Guerlain got discontinued only to have the Dior be discontinued about 8 months later. Even the sales associates had no idea! I can’t wear the long wear stuff, it sticks to my dry patches and that is what Dior makes these days.
I haven’t tried any of the super matte versions but it seems to me that the Saie is a different animal from the other serum foundations recently released? I have very dry skin and have tried the Laura Mercier and the saie. I thoughtI would love these but I still prefer the Haus Labs. I never tried the Mario due to the coconut ingredients. I’m not a full coverage girl-are there variations in coverage with this new serum trend? I might try one of them this summer when humidity returns to the air! I’d love a coverage scale as well as the glow scale when you do your roundup!
Hello Karen! This feedback is VERY helpful!!! It seems like....and I'm hearing it echoed in comments....these 24 hour wear foundations all look better applied sparingly. I WAS able to build this one up but, yep, liked it better thinner. It's a good one to try in the summer months. The Saie...oooo....people are NOT liking!
24 hr worker here :) I bought this as soon as it was available because I do really love the Guerlain L’Essentiel 16 hour wear foundation ( I’ve repurchase the L’Essential 3 times) This new Le Teint healthy glow is really very nice. It really does look very natural on the skin and it does last 24 hours. I see that some people are saying that this runs warm but I’m not seeing that. I also bought the 2.5 N. The bottle reminds me of the chanel no.1. I just hope the product will dispense properly. I literally threw out my Chanel foundation because I was so irritated by the bottle. (I had to pry the top off and scrape the foundation off the dispenser ) I maybe used the Chanel 6 times before I threw it out. I don’t have the patience to deal with poor packaging. I’m looking forward to the serum foundation round up. Thank you for another awesome video. 😘

I certainly don't need another foundation but it absolutely my favorite makeup product to try. I won't tell you how many I have (heehee) and just recieved my second cushion from Chantecaille which I love. But after watching a few reviews on this Guerlain, I'm interested . Looks good for my mature slightly dry skin, and looks like it will hold up all day in the busy salon working. Thanks for mentioning the Gucci is way more matte. This seems like it's an inbetween on most people. Was deciding between this is and the Burberry. 🤔
Lynn! Yes, you HAVE to have something that won't budge. How is it when we're on our feet all day, our makeup takes a beating? Isn't that funny but it's SO TRUE! YES. This and the Burberry are my faves. Right now, this one is top tier for me tho.

I was a little worried about the powder finish again because I'm mature alittle dry but u think it's not drying? Maybe even glowier later on??
Thanks for doing this one! For your roundup video, Rebecca, a key attribute for me is which one(s) provide the most coverage, whether glowy or matte. I feel I can alter the matte with a light layer first of face oil or take down glow with a pinch of translucent powder but coverage in general, without packing it on to get there, is trickier
Hello Pam! Definitely appreciative of the information so that I can include that in the video. We tend to find that this type of foundation is looking best when applied lightly. I was able to build this one up very effectively but I admit it looked better when there was less of it. So that’s gonna be troublesome for full coverage lovers.

This foundation looks nice on you. It would probably dry me out. Anything with 24 hr wear would, on me, look dry. Looking forward to your round up. I have dry skin, and a lot of foundations look cakey on me, especially around my nose, and forehead. The only ones working for me right now is Chanel Sublimage le Teint, the one with the pump, and CdP Radiant foundation. Both $$$. And, for a tinted moisturizer, the one by UD in the tube.

Great question, Irene. The parure gold is much more of a traditional foundation. This is the serum that kind of blends into the skin. Absolutely different feel. This is just their take on the new trend. And it's lovely.

Hi jennifer! Great question. Totally different products. The iconic product is absolutely lovely but is a much more traditional kind of tinted moisturizer type of product. This is more coverage and a bit more matte. Less slip once applied.

Well, today I tested the Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint in C2 because I've only seen and heard good things about it. Unfortunately, it dries out my skin a little and I have a rather unpleasant feeling when wearing it. But you have to know that I have very dry, sensitive skin with rosacea, which is of course a particular problem. I thought I would share my experience for those who also have to deal with such skin problems. Apart from that, I would need C1 ;-) I am happy with the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint :-) Best regards, Maria

I especially liked the lighter application you did for the intro/roundup portion. Would you say this is similar to the Chanel ultra le teint formula? I own that in B40 but I should have bought the B30. I have to add a little bit of lighter shade foundation to make that one work shade wise but I love the formula (and scent 😱) of it. I’m one of the minority who loves a good scent to my makeup even though I know it’s probably not the best for my skin. If a product doesn’t smell good it’s not for me, even if it looks good on.

Rebecca, you're going to hate me for asking this BUT I have just invested in the Guerlain Abeille Royale Skincare products which I will be using both day and night when they all arrive. In the meantime, I continue with one of my other routines. When we see you try these foundations, you do it on a clean fresh face, yet most will not have time to let their skincare regimes sink in to this level before adding foundation. What I'd like to see is how these foundations apply just after putting on our morning skincare regime, especially when they have a serum added to them. Are we supposed to skip our serum from our skincare and leave it to the foundation to take care of? That would be the proof I'd need to go after a particular product, whether it held on and applied so evenly straight after using skincare. After I add my skincare, my face is still looking glowey and not like yours looks when you apply these foundations, which looks much drier. After we shower and add our skincare, our faces don't necessarily look as dry (I should be saying 'settled' instead), as yours does when you apply these foundations. I know that I don't have the time to be waiting for my skincare to settle in before adding foundation and then going in with my make-up application as well. We normally do all of this in a dash to get out the door on time. Can you please explain whether the point of these Serum Foundations is to eliminate using a Serum beforehand? We still will be using moisturiser, eye creams/serums, etc., so I don't see what the point is by just adding this one product to the foundation when we use much more. After you mentioned another from the community stating how a foundation broke apart due to her t-zone, I'm now curious as to what it will do over a full regiment of skincare. Told you that you would hate me! (not literally, of course!).🇦🇺💖🕊

In your opinion, Which of the serum foundations performs best on large pores and dry skin? It’s so hard to choose which one to try, and I don’t want to order 5 foundations with similar formulas, especially with the price point they are all at.
This one is the most comparable to the Chanel. For sure. But the chanel can not be replaced in my heart. Chanel doesn't promise 24 hour wear either so there's that...if that's needed.
This is my first Guerlain foundation so not sure if the shades run warm but I have shade 2W and it’s going to be even a better shade match when I get some sun on my body and I’m liking it so far as well as the Gucci one although that oxidizes like crazy and makes me look 🍊 and I’m more of a 🍌 shade 😂
I do not know why but this one really did not oxidize on me and the Burberry does an oxidize at all. Not at all. The too faced got a lot darker on me this one did . But maybe I am not in the norm and of course I’m still testing.

Each of these foundations interest me so far so I really need to wait for the roundup video. There's no way I need to be buying all of these!! LOL For me a key point is it needs to be transfer-proof. I still mask every time I'm out in public, so transfer-proof foundations have become the only ones I reach for. Being mask-proof in summer is a VERY tall order I know, but some do actually manage it.
Random info: Guerlain Terracotta powder bronzer was the first of its kind. Before it we were all smearing "sports cream" or what not allover our faces to look "more tan". Like Virginia Thikk said: we've come a long way, baby!

Yep! I have 0N and I feel like after a couple of weeks (we had it early in Belgium!) it oxidized even in the bottle! Where at first it was a decent shadematch and with some lighter concealer I could make it work (for refernce I wear 0N in all Dior foundations), now it really is almost too orange-y and oompa loompa like so I won’t be able to use it anymore until summer! 😢

I am basically Snow White so undertones translate quite quickly on me but this one really has darkened over time in the bottle and reallyyyy turned kinda orange on me! So I would suggest to go for N, you can always use a more yellow/warm toned bronzer on top to make it match better, but taking the Oompa Loompa off is yeah… 😂 I am really sad because I can’t pull this off anymore until summer… I mean, 0N?! It’s insane how much it oxidized really! 😓 Please don’t hate me if I’m wrong tho!! 😘
All these serum foundations kind of look dry on all the skin types. When I watch the videos I see their skin imperfections that you would never know were there. I have severely dry and a dehydrated skin. But, the Saie seems to show a lot of texture. I’m more interested in the Guerlain and Laura Mercier. They look gorgeous in the ads. I do love that there are no silicones in these two. I can’t do silicone. Too sensitive. It would help my dry skin but then I’d be burning and red. Do these compare to the Chanel No 1 serum foundation? Can’t wait for the run down! I think all of the companies have their chemist make a bet to see who can sell the best serum foundation 😂
I totally agree. Someone invents a new product in a lab and it's off to the races. I wouldn't even be shocked if they were making bets. Haha. The Chanel No 1 is one of my top favorites. Better than any of these but not in the 24 hour promise category, etc. These newer ones are def working with a different chemical composition. And YES, even the LM finds dry spots. The Saie is not well liked according to the comments I'm reading.

I really like the way that applied and the coverage doesn't look heavy at all. I have Sahara desert dry skin, and prime with Hourglass no. 28 primer to keep the foundation from looking cakey, and I was hesitant about these foundations. I might try this one.
This one or the Burberry might be my faves. The reformulated Lancome is on its way to me too.
I got this one to try after gucci stopped my favorite hoping it works similarly. Loo sephora said that one or Armani and I lobe the luminesce gucci on and seen they went to matte but gucci was bomb on mh skin
Let me know how this one works for you. A few of the Dior luminescent foundations might work as well.

The Laura Mercier might be the best bet. I would have said Saie but I’m hearing bad things from way too many people and comments here. I actually liked it on me but it is not my favorite.

I totally understand. Those are both serum foundations so they really do cling to the skin. My recommendation with any serum foundation is to start with an oil based cleanser and follow with a foaming cleanser. The oil based cleanser will dissolve all of the make up while moisturizing your skin and then the cleanser just gently washes it all off. The cleanser should be gentle of course not harsh but foaming.

@@wordupbuttercup ok excellent. My suggestion is two parts. I would contact a department store counter and ask their recommendation. I would also call their customer service or email and ask if you can send in a photo with no makeup in natural light for a shade match. You’d be surprised how much that helps. The counter at nordstrom, Saks or Neimans can be great too in any old city that you call.

I love Guerlain. It’s one of my favorite brands. I wore the Lingerie De Peau foundation and concealer for years until they discontinued it out of the blue. I now have trust issues with any complexion products they put out. I might get a sample of this to try. They make good stuff.

I switched to one of theirs after my Guerlain got discontinued only to have the Dior be discontinued about 8 months later. Even the sales associates had no idea! I can’t wear the long wear stuff, it sticks to my dry patches and that is what Dior makes these days.

I haven’t tried any of the super matte versions but it seems to me that the Saie is a different animal from the other serum foundations recently released? I have very dry skin and have tried the Laura Mercier and the saie. I thoughtI would love these but I still prefer the Haus Labs. I never tried the Mario due to the coconut ingredients. I’m not a full coverage girl-are there variations in coverage with this new serum trend? I might try one of them this summer when humidity returns to the air! I’d love a coverage scale as well as the glow scale when you do your roundup!
Hello Karen! This feedback is VERY helpful!!! It seems like....and I'm hearing it echoed in comments....these 24 hour wear foundations all look better applied sparingly. I WAS able to build this one up but, yep, liked it better thinner. It's a good one to try in the summer months. The Saie...oooo....people are NOT liking!
24 hr worker here :) I bought this as soon as it was available because I do really love the Guerlain L’Essentiel 16 hour wear foundation ( I’ve repurchase the L’Essential 3 times) This new Le Teint healthy glow is really very nice. It really does look very natural on the skin and it does last 24 hours. I see that some people are saying that this runs warm but I’m not seeing that. I also bought the 2.5 N. The bottle reminds me of the chanel no.1. I just hope the product will dispense properly. I literally threw out my Chanel foundation because I was so irritated by the bottle. (I had to pry the top off and scrape the foundation off the dispenser ) I maybe used the Chanel 6 times before I threw it out. I don’t have the patience to deal with poor packaging. I’m looking forward to the serum foundation round up. Thank you for another awesome video. 😘

I certainly don't need another foundation but it absolutely my favorite makeup product to try. I won't tell you how many I have (heehee) and just recieved my second cushion from Chantecaille which I love. But after watching a few reviews on this Guerlain, I'm interested . Looks good for my mature slightly dry skin, and looks like it will hold up all day in the busy salon working. Thanks for mentioning the Gucci is way more matte. This seems like it's an inbetween on most people. Was deciding between this is and the Burberry. 🤔
Lynn! Yes, you HAVE to have something that won't budge. How is it when we're on our feet all day, our makeup takes a beating? Isn't that funny but it's SO TRUE! YES. This and the Burberry are my faves. Right now, this one is top tier for me tho.

I was a little worried about the powder finish again because I'm mature alittle dry but u think it's not drying? Maybe even glowier later on??
Thanks for doing this one! For your roundup video, Rebecca, a key attribute for me is which one(s) provide the most coverage, whether glowy or matte. I feel I can alter the matte with a light layer first of face oil or take down glow with a pinch of translucent powder but coverage in general, without packing it on to get there, is trickier
Hello Pam! Definitely appreciative of the information so that I can include that in the video. We tend to find that this type of foundation is looking best when applied lightly. I was able to build this one up very effectively but I admit it looked better when there was less of it. So that’s gonna be troublesome for full coverage lovers.

I’m curious about these new foundations, but I’m going to wait. I’ve been getting into light coverage foundations for my aged skin and love those, I’m not sure if these serum foundations are for me.
I think you'd actually like the light coverage and weightless feeling of these but choosing one is HARD!
This foundation looks nice on you. It would probably dry me out. Anything with 24 hr wear would, on me, look dry. Looking forward to your round up. I have dry skin, and a lot of foundations look cakey on me, especially around my nose, and forehead. The only ones working for me right now is Chanel Sublimage le Teint, the one with the pump, and CdP Radiant foundation. Both $$$. And, for a tinted moisturizer, the one by UD in the tube.

Great question, Irene. The parure gold is much more of a traditional foundation. This is the serum that kind of blends into the skin. Absolutely different feel. This is just their take on the new trend. And it's lovely.

Hi jennifer! Great question. Totally different products. The iconic product is absolutely lovely but is a much more traditional kind of tinted moisturizer type of product. This is more coverage and a bit more matte. Less slip once applied.

Well, today I tested the Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint in C2 because I've only seen and heard good things about it. Unfortunately, it dries out my skin a little and I have a rather unpleasant feeling when wearing it. But you have to know that I have very dry, sensitive skin with rosacea, which is of course a particular problem. I thought I would share my experience for those who also have to deal with such skin problems.
Apart from that, I would need C1 ;-)
I am happy with the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint :-)

Hi Rebecca, I’m so excited that you reviewed this foundation. It looks great on you and I am a shade match to you so I will probably buys this if it’s available in the Sephora sale. I especially liked the lighter application you did for the intro/roundup portion. Would you say this is similar to the Chanel ultra le teint formula? I own that in B40 but I should have bought the B30. I have to add a little bit of lighter shade foundation to make that one work shade wise but I love the formula (and scent 😱) of it. I’m one of the minority who loves a good scent to my makeup even though I know it’s probably not the best for my skin. If a product doesn’t smell good it’s not for me, even if it looks good on.

Rebecca, you're going to hate me for asking this BUT I have just invested in the Guerlain Abeille Royale Skincare products which I will be using both day and night when they all arrive. In the meantime, I continue with one of my other routines. When we see you try these foundations, you do it on a clean fresh face, yet most will not have time to let their skincare regimes sink in to this level before adding foundation. What I'd like to see is how these foundations apply just after putting on our morning skincare regime, especially when they have a serum added to them. Are we supposed to skip our serum from our skincare and leave it to the foundation to take care of? That would be the proof I'd need to go after a particular product, whether it held on and applied so evenly straight after using skincare. After I add my skincare, my face is still looking glowey and not like yours looks when you apply these foundations, which looks much drier. After we shower and add our skincare, our faces don't necessarily look as dry (I should be saying 'settled' instead), as yours does when you apply these foundations. I know that I don't have the time to be waiting for my skincare to settle in before adding foundation and then going in with my make-up application as well. We normally do all of this in a dash to get out the door on time. Can you please explain whether the point of these Serum Foundations is to eliminate using a Serum beforehand? We still will be using moisturiser, eye creams/serums, etc., so I don't see what the point is by just adding this one product to the foundation when we use much more. After you mentioned another from the community stating how a foundation broke apart due to her t-zone, I'm now curious as to what it will do over a full regiment of skincare. Told you that you would hate me! (not literally, of course!).🇦🇺💖🕊

This one is the most comparable to the Chanel. For sure. But the chanel can not be replaced in my heart. Chanel doesn't promise 24 hour wear either so there's that...if that's needed.

This is my first Guerlain foundation so not sure if the shades run warm but I have shade 2W and it’s going to be even a better shade match when I get some sun on my body and I’m liking it so far as well as the Gucci one although that oxidizes like crazy and makes me look 🍊 and I’m more of a 🍌 shade 😂
Everyone says the shades run so warm. Um....gosh, the Too Faced ran warmer on me. So crazy.
I normally go with a light to light medium neutral shade, but every review I’ve seen says it oxides. I may try 1.5N and cross my fingers
I do not know why but this one really did not oxidize on me and the Burberry does an oxidize at all. Not at all. The too faced got a lot darker on me this one did . But maybe I am not in the norm and of course I’m still testing.

Each of these foundations interest me so far so I really need to wait for the roundup video. There's no way I need to be buying all of these!! LOL For me a key point is it needs to be transfer-proof. I still mask every time I'm out in public, so transfer-proof foundations have become the only ones I reach for. Being mask-proof in summer is a VERY tall order I know, but some do actually manage it.

Random info: Guerlain Terracotta powder bronzer was the first of its kind.
Before it we were all smearing "sports cream" or what not allover our faces to look "more tan".

Oh boy. Everyone here is saying their shades run warm so even neutral undertones are going with cool shades so that means it would probably be like putting an orange carrot on my tomato skin 😂 Your skin looks good in anything Rebecca 💕
You know what, Danielle? I don't find their products to run warm. The Too Faced ran SO much warmer on me.
Yep! I have 0N and I feel like after a couple of weeks (we had it early in Belgium!) it oxidized even in the bottle! Where at first it was a decent shadematch and with some lighter concealer I could make it work (for refernce I wear 0N in all Dior foundations), now it really is almost too orange-y and oompa loompa like so I won’t be able to use it anymore until summer! 😢
@@byJelke I’m normally 2W in Dior so would you recommend to go neutral in this one? Sorry I don’t want to put that decision on your shoulder but it would be interesting to have the opinion from someone than already owns a bottle. Thank you
@@Lulu-Walker Oh no haha this is a hard one! 🥲😅 I really would recommend to go in store and swatch it or even ask for a sample. I am basically Snow White so undertones translate quite quickly on me but this one really has darkened over time in the bottle and reallyyyy turned kinda orange on me! So I would suggest to go for N, you can always use a more yellow/warm toned bronzer on top to make it match better, but taking the Oompa Loompa off is yeah… 😂 I am really sad because I can’t pull this off anymore until summer… I mean, 0N?! It’s insane how much it oxidized really! 😓 Please don’t hate me if I’m wrong tho!! 😘
All these serum foundations kind of look dry on all the skin types. When I watch the videos I see their skin imperfections that you would never know were there.
I have severely dry and a dehydrated skin. But, the Saie seems to show a lot of texture. I’m more interested in the Guerlain and Laura Mercier. They look gorgeous in the ads.
I do love that there are no silicones in these two. I can’t do silicone. Too sensitive. It would help my dry skin but then I’d be burning and red.
Do these compare to the Chanel No 1 serum foundation?

I totally agree. Someone invents a new product in a lab and it's off to the races. I wouldn't even be shocked if they were making bets. Haha. The Chanel No 1 is one of my top favorites. Better than any of these but not in the 24 hour promise category, etc. These newer ones are def working with a different chemical composition. And YES, even the LM finds dry spots. The Saie is not well liked according to the comments I'm reading.
