We don’t want to be too harsh on Pires. He’s not a defensive full back. He’s an attacking wingback and his strengths are going forward… second half he looked good linking up with Sarmiento. We also need to remember he’s new in the country, doesn’t speak the language, learning english football in the championship, learning a new style and team… Vitihno looked poor early on. Let’s support him and not get on his back🙏
We need to stop playing walking football and get the tempo up. The faster the tempo the more spaces appear. Also, I think we might score a lot of late goals as we tire teams out.
It’s hard to play fast football when a side is sitting deep… it’s a myth you can just play quick football at all times. When you’re looking for openings you naturally slow down. Quick football happens in transition and when the game stretches. We wore Portsmouth down on Saturday despite playing walking football

@@dalehusband7 playing at that pace allows them to set up defensively. I don't mean go mad, just up it a gear.
