During the episode Sarah mentioned she was 34. Knowing now that it aired in 2010 means this year (2022) she’s 46. What kind of math genius am I? (And yes, I could have googled it but where’s’ the fun in that?)
To the best of my memory, this was the only time that either Ronnie Corbett or Julian Clary appeared on the show, which is a real shame because they were both fantastic. I do recall seeing Clary however pop up on an episode or two of QI.

@@blackbird5634 That's great :) The Two Ronnies were a memorable part of my childhood, growing up through the 80's they were already established and producing some absolutely classic British comedy. I haven't returned to them recently, beyond occasionally watching the Four Candles sketch, maybe it's time for a torrent or TH-cam journey :)
The lies are lies and the truth is something that actually happened to them. When people are asked to go on the show they're probably asked to give a fact or story about themselves... Some of the stories are taken from old news / interviews as well. I've heard a lot of the stories on other shows, sometimes it's from before this show and sometimes it's from after, but either way it confirms it's true.
yeah and which isn't to say there isn't possibly any grain of truth out of context from any of the "lies" cooked up by the show producers. Sure, plenty are made up whole cloth, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of their ideas are inspired by variations of things that once happened to someone they personally know. They just don't have anything to do with any of the performers on that given episode.

In an earlier episode a lie is told about naming 5 pet pigs after news readers and then in an episode a few series later, this same statement instead about 5 pet chickens is given as a true fact by a different contestant. Made me wonder about the chances XD
I found it weird how a BBC show in 1993 was so overtly gay to have a statue of Julian riding a Unicorn as a set piece... has he forgotten that 1993 wasn't like it is now?

Never quite understood if the show is really real or just made up stories. Is anybody know how they claim to actually do this show?
