Highlands final day, People SUCK!

On our last day we find many new campsites but we also find that people suck and don't know how to leave it better than they found. We clean up sites and extinguish campfires during the height of the drought.

Unfortunately, no many of these sites are first come first serve completely at random. I do believe the people that stayed at the site that had the active fire was somebody I had stopped to ask if they needed any assistance with a flat tire. They denied help we continued on. The north main woods is privately owned with little to no accountability. Once you pay the fee to get into the North Main woods it’s a free-for-all as far as Camping goes.

We are currently visiting Maine this week (and attending NBOR2023 later in the week. Loved the campsite at the beginning of the video on the lake. Do you mind sharing the location?

@@WickedOverland no worries. Maine was a blast. Wound up doing 207 Overland’s NBOR with a group through the North Maine Woods. What a blast! Thanks anyway-we found some cool spots.
