How else should we test Starlight??

?
How is this 3 days ago if the video came out a min ago?
Could you make a video on making a skeeball machine?
Try making a small furnace or forge from starlight
It doesn't last long. Starlight is ablative, it protects for a time by burning off in a way that insulates.
And it smokes like crazy
@@dinosaurdrew7431 you could try baking it on a low temp for a while
@neeneko I very well might be wrong but what I gathered from NightHawkInLights video is that it quickly burns and creates a kind of carbon foam with extreme insulating properties. This “foam” is supposed to last for many hours from what I’ve gathered. I very much might be wrong as this is just what I remember from his video.
@@grangerfilanowski4583 I believe that's correct I was thinking about making a foundry to try it

Try thermite. Do NOT try to protect your hand from thermite!
Maybe if it didn't violently spark all over the place.
YES
Tannerite
That's what I'm curious about is thermite @caden there is no point in testing it with tannerite. 1. It doesn't burn super hot. 2nd it's an explosive so it will just blow it apart. And 3rd if you build it thick enough that it stops/slows the bullet enough to not set it off then nothing will happen either.

Try out to cleaning the strawberries with water and salt . Is it true that a worm appears ?
wtf where did you hear this
How to cook that did that a week or so ago, and its a no. The only way you get that is if they are already on it.
if there were a worm inside, you'd notice when you were eating it. water and salt don't just generate worms that weren't there before. you should still wash your fruit before you eat it though

TKOR: Don't try this at home!
2 minutes later
TKOR: Here's how you do it at home, it's easy!
you guys should try his updated recipe to see how much better that works vs the previous recipe used in this video
I'm into forging and I've gotten very interested in this video. I have an idea for you there is a substance called vermiculite and when mixed with plaster of Paris as you guys have seen on your homemade Foundry video works as a refractory substance. What would happen if you mix that into the Starlight would be more of an insulative material
The actual starlight plastic could defend against the head of a nuclear weapon. They used a test chamber in a lab to test a sample of the plastic, it did the same for an egg under the same temperature as a nuclear weapon. This stuff is a toy by comparison. Also the torch test on the British tv show was more than a few minutes.
What's on show here is children's starlight, PVA glue is not required, a dangerous bonding agent is used & one other ingredient.
I make forge's, crucibles & pizza ovens from proper starlight.

Cali DOMINATED this one!
How many times should me change our intro
Nate and calli: yes
Never been here so early
aha same
Would be very interested to see you try to use this as insulation in the furnace.
The way I understand the way the bond works and that's you guys get a little bit more of an idea of what I'm thinking is that the plaster Paris is just made to hold the vermiculite vermiculite is actually used as the refractory material so if you mix that into the Starlight would it be a insane insulator
You can't tell me not to do it if all the materials are literally household items
Bleach is a household item but you ain't drinking that are you 😂 I think by don't try it at home they mean don't cover your hand in it and use a blowtorch on it

Well its 4 hours old and the comment is now 4 days old. ^^ possible theory
@@carldimmock they dont post all the vids right away they usually have a ton of them private to make sure its ok and then they post
why is it that callie seems too be the happiest when she gets too play with a torch!
There was a study a few years ago. They were testing whether Starlite could withstand the heat of re-entry. When it worked, the it performed better than shuttle heat shield tiles. However, the success rate was not high enough to warrant replacing heat shields. (It was much lighter for similar efficacy). Lower weight and lower production cost would have made it ideal for space flight.

Hi, really cool video, i like how you always goes to the limit of things where it's getting dangerous haha.
