Nice review! I have both E58 and E88/E99 (several) and one thing I wanted to mention is that some of these E88/E99 drones don't stop when they lose controller signal. I had E88 drone fly out of range of controller and it kept going and going. It was fortunately stopped by a very tall tree or otherwise I would have lost it forever. Not true with E58, it immediately powers down when signal is lost to controller. One of E88 model I have also powers down, so not all E88/E99 drones are the same. In fact all of my E88/E99 drones are different from one another. Some with very bad camera (even for cheap drone), some with super cheap controller with buttons instead of real joystick etc. But since these are so cheap it's not a big deal as long as you can fly them.
When you turn on the motors of the drone and do not take off, the motors turn off after a few seconds. This is normal. If you turn it on and it totally loses power, the leds turn off, the drone or the battery may be faulty. Try with another battery, check if it is charged, check if it was inserted correctly, may be the contacts are not touching well.
Not worth getting E88 model with extra camera on bottom. Forward camera quality is terrible and camera on bottom is even worse. What's more, the camera chipset on these cheap drones struggle to handle two low res camera. Might be worth it if you only want it for "optical flow".
I would say at least E58 is faster and of better plastic quality, but being fast makes it less stable. E88 seems to be more stable, but slower, less fun to play with if you like speed.
Yes Eachine E58 is way better. I have E58 as well as cheap E88/E99. Main difference is camera quality. Eachine E58 has wide angle 120 deg high resolution camea. All the E88/E99 drones that I bought have very low quality camera - all are narrow angle (60 deg, 40 deg, even 30 degrees) and at best 640p, at worst 240p and none has capability like E58 to record video direct to SD card which is very useful feature, as video over wifi loses a lot of frames and is jerky at best.

I have a question for you. Can you tell me if is possible to use the remote of e88 to e58?
Helpful tutorial. Thank you.
My drone turns off when I try to fly it even when its on the ground and im trying to calibrate it it turns off

Remotes look the same but the combination of buttons to trigger some similar actions on both drones are different. Should not be possible.
No matter what I do my e88 controller wont calibrate and i suspect thats why my drone is drifting. It also has a green light on the controller
Same here but I calibrated it in the air and works good.
There is no extra camera on the bottom. There is a hole only.
The models may vary.

@@coldspring22but does Optical Flow even work well?
So E58 is better?
