As a tennis player I have to say every racket is fine as long as you have the right grip and using both cheap and expensive the same for your kind of skill level. But I’ve completely lost brain cells from this video as a tennis player.
As a 5 year tennis player, depends on string, and there’s actually a variety of racquet heads for different uses like accuracy or to make the racquet heavier for better power…
If you’re new to tennis, don’t be misled by this video. The quality difference between expensive and cheap racquets is most clearly felt when hitting harder (the frame feels either stable or flimsy) and with spins (the racquet does or doesn’t ‘grip’ the ball).
There is no good way of testing tennis rackets. I play with two decently expensive rackets, and they play completely different. At the end of the day, it is personal preference. Cheap rackets are not bad. They are just meant for beginners who have not developed a proper swing. Also, cheap rackets like 30 to 60 dollar ones have low shock absorption, which can cause arm pain. I used to play with a 30 dollar one when I first began playing. I moved on to a 100 dollar one, and once I got good enough, I committed to two expensive rackets with different stings and tension. If I had to start my tennis journey again, I would buy the 100 dollar racket first, just because of how easy it was to use. If anyone is wondering the 100 dollar racket is the Babolat Drive Max 110 Tennis Racquet. I'm not sponsor or affiliate. I just like the racket. I recently gave this racket to one of my friends who just started and he loves it more than his old 40 dollar racket. The only downside is that the grip is white and mine got dirty from the sweat and oil from my hands. Hopefully this helped people understand more on tennis racket. These test they do, don't account for whole lots of important stuff like feel, weight or vibration.
Expensive racquets might be geared more toward power or spin depending on preference, but cheap racquets have flimsy frames when hitting hard and don’t grip the ball as well when spinning. So there is a test for difference.
This doesn't matter. Tennis equipment since the late '90s has become overdone/overworked as well as overdone in strings and racquet heads too large, therefore either altering people's abilities, assisting it, or masking the player's true skill level and craft. Tennis is possibly the only sport professionally with no equipment regulations. That's why the game has been suffering and regressed in quality, leading to lessened interest.
you cant really test it like that. they would both need the same strings, tension, used the same ball and force applied to the shot to be accurate. really this test is pointless because its all about preference in the end.
I had a 25 dollar gamma racket (37/8) when I was a kid. I just put a dampener on the racket and I practiced a lot and payed attention to the basic fundamentals. I was seeing u believable progress and I was winning matches against my entire team including my COACH 😭 remember you aren’t gonna start magically playing like frederer if you get an expensive racket. Fundamentals over rackets 🙌
The frame on the cheap tennis racquets are going bend after a few matches when used by a decent player. Expensive tennis racquets are generally much more stable.
Caray …. Esta no es la manera correcta de comparar raquetas de tenis… la potencia, el control, el balance van requerimientos diferentes para cada jugador…
This I bull I am a tennis player, it does not matter that much about the raquet itself as much as the strings. And because he strings are different there is no point to compare Likeeeeeeeee
Really depends on a lot of factors: swing speed, swing path and spin, dominant eye, etc etc So test rackets if possible then experiment with string tension and types. Finally get a good grip that is comfortable. As you get better you might want to put weights on the head for balance adjustment. Cheers!
I've been playing tennis for 6-7 years and would just suggest a light racquet and a string dampener and once you get better then you should buy and expensive one.
I have a Slazenger ultimate graphite racket. The strings it came with were horrible. Once I cut them off and put my own strings on and restrung it to 56lbs which is the tension I like, added a dampener, it played great
same racquet head size? same string? same tension? same velocity of the ball? same contact point on the racquet(strings)? maybe smashing the racquets on the floor see how many times it takes to break would be a better test
At least he was barely correct? He even said they're pretty much the same and ofc the more expensive one will be better in SOME way but the testing is just 😭😭
I use a Kennex Jr Ace Pro Power Contour in red and blue with white wording from 2003 or 2004 for $25--30 including tax back in 2003/2004 and in 2023 on e-Bay got 2 more same color where most expensive was $32--$35 in very good shape where I used black athletic/hocky tape and Loctite Ultra Gel for very end used sparingly as a keeping grip in place on all 3 becuse of cheap vinyl going either sicky like 2 or pealing like one I bought and also used one layer of tape so model has a hard grip as I hate soft grips, no feel. Main reason I used an almost adult size racquet is I am only 5 foot 2 inch/157.5 cm. I like a smaller head size for cheap racquet as I have less room for missing a sweet spot. Reason I used a smaller aluminum racquet is he whole racquet is lighter then other designs/materials besides titanium where good models in material are more expensive, as most other materials are solid not hollow. Also, model has to be red, blue, and white writing, as when I saw in store, the Identical model in black, yellow, and white writing was less stiff in string tension suing a different nylon string which as a less power player I like as I need less power for same shot and like a hard grip gives more feedback using less energy/muscles so you are less dead after a match/game.
im no tennis player but 57 dollars? if im not mistaken this is a head speed pro and it is used by Djokovic, I started learning about tennis 3 days ago and I already see how wrong this is. The head speed pro costs around 270-300 dollars so u prolly got a fake one cuz 200 dollars difference is a lot
Wait, what did I just watched? This video is soo wrong on soo many levels don't know if there is one second of truth in it, like at all. Just pure non-sense clickbait.
most scientific test ever
😂😂😂😂
😂😂
lol ikr
Don’t matter if you have expensive racket if you don’t even have the fundamentals.
true
my game instantly improved with a more expensive racket tho tbh
@@bradley4ever fundamentals are everything with any sport, i definitely think if you have the fundamentals and buy a nice raq. your game will imporve
But this video is about racket what’s your point
@@bradley4ever someone who started can have the best racket yet be the worse player 💀
Youre testing the strings tension rather than the racket💀😂
Not really. He’s also testing the swing weight as well as the racquet weight
@@JoJoTennisProhe's not doing either of those things. He's showing his own physical imperfections, unable to conduct a proper test
Bro that’s normal he is using a Yonex every single Yonex tennis Racket (cheap and expensive) have a Isometeic headshape with a bigger sweet spot 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes true
This is the most ridiculous video I have seen on tennis
As a tennis player I have to say every racket is fine as long as you have the right grip and using both cheap and expensive the same for your kind of skill level. But I’ve completely lost brain cells from this video as a tennis player.
One of the cheapest racquets I have sounds like a toddler toy when it hits, it feels like it bends around the ball when I make contact.
Worst test yet
As a 5 year tennis player, depends on string, and there’s actually a variety of racquet heads for different uses like accuracy or to make the racquet heavier for better power…
also this is just a terrible test😂 hitting the ball once over the pool will not show anything
What’s racquet heads?
I’ve been playing for 4 years but I’m only like a 2.2 UTR 😭
Don’t bother this guy in the video knows nothing about tennis😂
exactly
If you’re new to tennis, don’t be misled by this video. The quality difference between expensive and cheap racquets is most clearly felt when hitting harder (the frame feels either stable or flimsy) and with spins (the racquet does or doesn’t ‘grip’ the ball).
If cheap is $57 what does that mean about the $15 one I use?
LOL😂
Bro doesn't even know how to hold a raquet 💀
doesn’t make a difference unless you can actually play tennis

Is the va okay racquet tiny it looks like it’s made for kids
If the grip tape is dirty you can install an over grip
I have head extreme MPL which is launched in 2023 which is for 17000 rupees and it helps me for better top spin😊😊😊
well some are definetly better, because a lot of them are made for amateurs and wont perform well at a higher level

You were dropping the ball in the dead spot of the raquet. It wont matter how expensive it is if youre not hitting the sweet spot
I'm lost for words. Please remove this video.
bro run out of ideas and started copying someone

The brush doesn't make the painter.
I bought a racquet for R240(SA currency) which is equal to about $12. That is very cheap!
Wrong it doesn’t matter if the racket is more expensive or more cheaper
Never let bro cook again
It's not the racket, it's the string and tension you put on it.

Djokovic wins lot of slam with a cheap rackets😂
Really scientific.... I bet the string patterns and weights were very different too. What am I watching here?
Me with a 14$ racket 👁👄👁
His videos are just sad
The sad thing is the cheap racket is literally my one I use 💀
It is not about the racket, it's about the string
The frame on the cheap tennis racquets are going bend after a few matches when used by a decent player. Expensive tennis racquets are generally much more stable.
This isn't reliable because the amount of force you use could've been different
Doesn't matter if you have expensive racket or no you should have the point to get points also to have speen and forehand and backend
for anyone who see this, don't trust this review. It doesn't work that way. What he tested is the string tension.
no cheap strings suck ! but thing is he didnt test cheap ones both were quit expensive
Bro I bought that same black and white head racket at Walmart for $39.98. U got finessed
The expensive racket is the cheapest racket that professional had ever seen.😂😂😂
Not racquet ,your skill Sir
In the Philippines the tennis rocet is only ₱200 or $4😅
Make your own content and be original smh 🤦♂️
Its doesnt matter wether cheap or expensive racket, the most important is the man behind the gun 💪
Bro does NOT know how to play tennis
Worst test I’ve ever seen in my life
Bro, no.... They're both high quality rackets. The "cheap" one is just older and therefore less expensive because there's a newer version if it.
I love how there are more dislikes
I like how the “cheap” racket is the one I use 💃🏼
What the hell is that weak swing
Shouldn't you test a tennis racket on a tennis court. Do something else please.
Real way for humanity to walk back to their cave without knowledge of fire making by testing like this.
Bro the head speed is goated
that racket its not the speed one
The tennis racquet doesn't make that much of a difference but it does make it very slightly give more power for less
seem like you don't even know how to hold the grip lol
Expensive vs cheap wins EXPENSIVE
My "cheap" $14 Wilson racquet looking at this cheap $57 raqcuet and sweating bullets
Useless video. Bottom of the barrel quality 😂
As an Asian , This is how Asians buy things based on the price tag
Said the guy’s mum: “Hiya, why you no doctor yet la?”
The string, tension, and composition of the racquet are all factors that influences how “bouncy” it is. 😂
No because I have the cheap racket and it’s not that bad I love using it
The expensive one is called the Yonex Vcore Feel
wtf is this?
Tennis is a sport of a lifetime. This video will help keep the interest in a great sport of a lifetime.
Caray …. Esta no es la manera correcta de comparar raquetas de tenis… la potencia, el control, el balance van requerimientos diferentes para cada jugador…
Idk just add one of those vibration dampeners and you’re good if you use a “cheap” racquet
Поменяй на дешовой ракетке, натяжку и потом проверяй. Точно так же как на заводской, часто натяжка не очень на более дорогой
The most ridiculous conparison ever. 😂😂
Bro doesn't know shit about tennis
Bro how do u hit a forehand
Most pros use the cheap one 😂
No shit🤦♂️
Well tbh cheap is good to learn. Expensive if you are going beyond amateur
Wait wait how do you know it's not a cheap tennis ball??!!!??
The price gap between the two is huge. Like that with other sports equipment?
При этом я ее понял что он тестик, даже уберем заводскую натяжку из условия, натяжка по степени натяжению разная, ьудет разный отскок мяча
Hahahah, even don’t need a tennis court for the test
The cheap on is better for the pros and the expensive one is better for old people
Yeah this test is really bad. Having an expensive racquet doesn't mean better performance. Lots of nuances when it comes to choosing a racquet
This I bull I am a tennis player, it does not matter that much about the raquet itself as much as the strings. And because he strings are different there is no point to compare

maybe smashing the racquets on the floor see how many times it takes to break would be a better test
Tennis's pay to win
Qué una raqueta sea cara no determina el rebote el rebote lo de termino la atención de las cuerdas y también en coeficiente de Potencia
Bro that’s normal he is using a Yonex every single Yonex tennis Racket (cheap and expensive) have a Isometeic headshape with a bigger sweet spot 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro the ball for the cheap is literally a dead ball and for the expensive wasn't having any logo wich are used for Training balls
Its the player that wins the match not the 🎾 raquet
You can even hit the ball higher with a potato so potato wins.
Dumbest tennis test ever, tennis rackets are divided in 3 categories
1. Power = beginner
2. Neutral = intermediate
3. Control = Advanced player
At least he was barely correct? He even said they're pretty much the same and ofc the more expensive one will be better in SOME way but the testing is just 😭😭
What do you put down for shipping method bc when I put the dimensions it says shipping is $80.
wow i learned so much from this video thank you so much

Bro my ten dollar racket from the back of Walmart works great for ten dollars
I have a 100 euro racket and a 350 euro racket and the difference was only cause of the strings

Or got cheap model sold looking like a pro model when is not, like how Wilson has done for Roger Federer or the Willams Sisters on kids models.
