Roasts are usually a mix of comedians and celebrities. The celebrities are usually the ones using the writers. But people can definitely use their own jokes. Even gronk couldn’t help himself from going “wow. I even wrote that joke myself” after one of his jokes. It’s not the scandal you think it is.

what's gonna be the ultimate test for her is if she can handle the jabs being thrown back at her, which will happen one day. shes hilarious don't get me wrong, but its very easy to dish it, not so much to take it. very few jabs seemed to be thrown at her at that roast, because she's still relatively unknown. I know so many funny outgoing people that crumble and cry when they get a dose of their own medicine.
