@bananeneiscraeme just to elaborate on the explanation a bit, not only is gronk famously not very smart but he's got this like caveman persona basically and even his name is gronkowski but everyone calls him gronk. I'm not sure if English is your native language but in English, Gronk sounds like something you'd name a caveman.

It is enjoyable to watch Seth Meyers get better and better at his job. He is sharp and funny, but more important, he comes across as truly empathetic to his guests.

Her timing, intonation, pace, everything… flawless. She absolutely crushed it. I think she had the best set for SURE. She’s just so good.
Man ya'll tripping she's ALWAYS this good! That's why this just seemed like yet another great set from her to me. Maybe something about it being live just made her stand out more for the rest.

As somebody who's been a fan of Nikki for like a decade now I LOVE seeing her get so much praise for her work on the roast.
On a night when everyone basically stuck to two subjects when it came to Brady, she killed it *and* still seemed fresh with her material.
She's always been the highlight of the Comedy Central roasts, and this one put her on another level. Well deserved.

I remember that also. Her appearances with Conan were great, the look on his face when she would say things. I'm amazed there were so many people who had never heard of her. I hated the Brady roast though, too many reaction shots of the roastees, keep the camera on the comedian for the most part.

@@allisonfink2059 From the dais, yes. Getting out of his seat, making exaggerated faces and gesticulating/pointing during her set, not so much. He drew attention away from her onto himself. A ton of people on the dais made their enjoyment of her jokes VERY apparent without pulling focus away from her.

Nikki Glaser's so flipping hilarious. I just watched her episode of Finding Your Roots. I was crying with how emotional the episode was. She found out that her and Sara Silverman share the same bloodline and are distant cousins! Totally makes sense, their both hilarious!

I’m happy for her! That’s why I never understand the “you’re just jealous” argument if you don’t like someone that’s successful. No, if they are a decent human being, it’s satisfying to watch them achieve success. Good people deserve good things. I wish that’s how the world always worked.

What made Nikki's joke about bad mothers being as good as great fathers is how ridiculous it was. Everyone knows there's a vast sea of negligent, mediocre mothers plaguing society, but you can't joke about it, or even speak about it, because it's no laughing matter. The only "truth bomb" is that 80% of America's prison population comes from single mother households. It was a sexist joke meant to impress misandrists, which is encouraged by the media, and supported by the State.

One of the best roast, if not THE best roasts of the last decade. They finally brought the old Friars spirit back to roasting by having people the victim... erm, 'guest of honor', actually knows do the roasting. Mixed in with some big name roasters, a-la 'Comedy Central roasts'... This one finally felt right.
Seth was ON POINT during this interview. I love watching him genuinely make Nikki laugh

I love Seth for bringing Niki on. He is such a supporter of comedians and particularly women comedians. This was obvs a spontaneous booking to respond to current culture references and i really appreciate the spirit of his show and what he wants to do (who he wants to amplify). Yay, I just recently heard Nikki Glaser on episode 25 of the Self-Helpless podcast (yes, I'm very far behind) and it was so good.
Her roast made me remember what great comedy is lol..the timing, delivery, the context, literally everything I almost did a standing ovation right there in my living room without even meaning to lol..she rose above the rest..and it was so much more than her jokes, it was everything..the words lightning in a bottle came to mind..you can tell by the reaction, great job Nikki!!!
