With the amount of hate that he’s been getting since his debut I’m glad that he has a cool head and understands that it doesn’t affect him and I hope it doesn’t affect him. I’m just glad he’s doing OK.

He is actually right. There was a story in ID when a stand up comedian got so many hate messages in Instagram. So she started to send DM to each of the hate account by offering them 100k money and transferred them for real to each of them. All those hate accounts suddenly apologized and turned into praying for her success.

Around 2022-2023 a large influx of new western fans of Vtubers arrived, a lot in Hololive production. This brought in a lot of parasocial girlfriend experience/cute girls doing cute things toxic dedicated sub groups into one (who before the rise of vtubing would have been spread thin across the anime fandoms) who specifically hate their obsessions having any interaction with males.
It also doesn’t help that these guys have this weird superiority complex when u call them out
