    It is true what you are saying. Those videos are very helpful.The explanations are so easy to understand and to apply. I searched too many websites they are the best for bigginers

    Dear me. You've explained this wonderfully. I've spent about 5 hours, reading through an "expert's" book on beginners bridge and got nowhere.

      Thanks Michael! You are very kind. Books are great once you have the basics on board. I don't think there is any substitute for going along to your local bridge club and taking lessons. You realise that along with all beginners it takes time to grasp things and you have a teacher to ask when you get stuck. It is also very social and nothing like getting a group of 20 together all floundering along - you help each other and make lifelong friends. Hope there is a bridge club near you and Good Luck!

      Good luck Beth. It is a great game - hope you have a club nearby to go to lessons - not only are they fun - but a great way to learn with a group of people all trying to grasp it. Enjoy!

    Why does everybody complicate suit ranking by failing to state "They are in Alphabetical Order"?

    Have been enthused to learn, what seems to be an interesting and stimulating card game, by a couple of the ladies in the art group I go to. Have been through your first lesson and find the way you put it over easy to take in, and am looking forward to your following lessons. I don't want to join a local bridge club until I'm happy that I have at least the basic's of the game, however, I'm concerned that perhaps at 70 I'm too old to try and learn bridge, what's you're thoughts?

      Hi Mick, I'm so sorry - I hadn't seen this message! Never too old! I've taught 90 year olds to play - you're young!! Lessons are starting across NZ now if that is where you are based. Do go along - you really need the hands on work with the cards as well as the theory. Everyone is in the same boat - making heaps of mistakes. The more mistakes you make - the quicker you learn. Hope you are taking up the challenge Mick and good luck!

    Is there a lower level introduction? Like what's a trump card? What's a hand?

    • @johnashley2160
      @johnashley2160 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trump is the suit agreed upon during the auction. No trump means there is no lead suit in the contract. Each played gets thirteen cards.

      No I'm sorry Bwana, this is the lowest introduction I have available. If you have not played cards before involving trumps, then probably bridge as a first game would be too difficult. Games such as whist, 500 and Yuka all involve trumps - perhaps try one of those first and become familiar with card terminology. Then move onto bridge. Good Luck!

      Sorry Mike, I don't know that game ... bridge is similar to Whist.

    Some artifacts of Bridge are similar to Bid Whist.
