Cool to see for sure, but comparing with IEs numbers they seem a little underwhelming for stage 2 on the 2019-2021 models.
That being said, i haven't dyno'd my car and it's not impossible IE is inflating their numbers, but IE is claiming 425hp/460tq on 91 stage 2 for 2019-2021 model year s3s.

Absolutely! I do wonder sometimes because sometimes projected figures can be somewhat inflated with different brands. Hard to say.. Go back and see the dyno video I did on my old S6 that was APR stage 3. Great real world dyno results. I wouldn't always choose a specific tune based on solely advertised numbers. APR has been in the game for many years longer than a lot of the other tuners. They have a massively impressive facility with multiple dyno's and even 50 state emissions dynos. They have also been one of the only developers that I've seen go as far as implementing in cylinder pressure testing for tuning as well. They have by far also the most extensive catalog of support for so many VW, Audi, Porsches so I think they will continue to remain one of the biggest players in the game.

@@savagepandaprojects great point and i'll definitely check out that dyno vid!
i was actually booked in for later today to get my s3 dyno'd but i decided to wait until the spring when i get the intercooler just so i can have all of the recommended mods they list for their advertised numbers - i also realize dynos can differ pretty widely in terms of how they measure power so ideally i'd have a pull done on the stock tune first and then the stage 2, i'm just not sure it's a good idea to have a dyno pull done on the stock tune with a downpipe installed haha
you deserve more subs though man, videos are always on point!

Looks like Unitronic just dropped a new downpipe. Do you mind explaining in a video if that could potentially pass inspection in states like NC?

Yes I am very interested in this. Thanks for the suggestion!

Boss, thanks for the recap/history. I am lucky bc i am in Canada and there is a APR dealership here who can tune my car to stage 2 (I will also have an aftermarket downpipe). My question is, if I drive my stage 2 vehicle to USA, would i be breaking the law or some thing?

Glad to help, It's unlikely that anyone is going after you over a tune unless your doing something to draw attention to yourself like reckless driving, street racing etc. lol
It is important to always keep emissions laws in mind. Would always recommend catted pipes for best results. Typically with any "stage 2 tune" (for most any car), you will usually have to flash back to stage 1 or stock tune in order to pass state inspection. The reason for this is because the stage 2 tune cancels out the check engine light caused by there not being a factory catalyst in place. Hope that helps!

Hey what's up! Unfortunately APR stage 2 was discontinued in the US market. (Last I hear at least) Might be available in other countries but if you go on the site at the bottom it may show stage 2 but it will say discontinued. APR plus is a low output tune though designed to work with factory powertrain warranty. since its an older car out of warranty I'd suggest go regular stage 1 high output file. When in doubt have an APR dealer scan your car and see what files are available for different tune stages etc.

I just watched your " 5 things you must do before tuning you audi" video from a couple of years ago. I have an audi a3 1.2t . Are there any extra things to do if i want to get a stage 1? I am afraid i am gonna mess something up, considering the size of the engine. Should i even tune it?

Thanks for watching, I don't have any experience with that platform since we only have 1.8/2.0T motors here in the US. If there are reputable tuning software choices the same preventative approach would stand.
