My great grandmother was bald . Genetic issue . At 54 I've been losing a horrifying amount of hair for about 4 years now . Nothing is helping . I'm not a wig wearer . The scarf turban , rockin earrings , brilliant lipstick and self love are gonna carry me through. Thank you for the fabulous content ❤
I love that the clear message is that the scarves “can be enjoyed”. It fits of course with your consistent message of “sensual” dressing that is about enjoying your own senses, rather than trying to fool with proportions/figure out what is “flattering”, be trendy or attract the male gaze. Yay!
I just found your channel and am completely enchanted! Love your talk….i feel like I am a friend visiting you. I have so many scarves which just sit in the closet. Now I will take them out to play. I am 79 but still love fashion. Your tips are great as is your personality. You are full of life and just so lovely. Thank you for an evening of enjoyment. I couldn’t fall asleep last night for all the inspiration you gave me. Can’t wait to visit you again tonight. Love your hair. Perfectly French! Thank you🧑🏼🦰
You came up with my algorithm and I absolutely love you... Your personality is very hilarious... And it makes me feel like you're just talking to us one-on-one... Or that there's a couple of girlfriends hanging out .. and that's a pretty awesome vibe

in hot & extremely humid weather -- my hometown is Louisville where summer humidity is most always over 90% -- I learned (the hard way) to switch to a cotton scarf instead of silk for styles around the hair and especially under a hat; the oil and perspiration from your scalp can destroy a beautiful silk scarf. Thanks for 2 excellent videos!
I wore an elegant sleeveless dress to a wedding but didn’t want to show my upper arms so I created a shrug out of a rectangular scarf and it made the whole ensemble better and not an off the rack look.
I’ve been creating looks since I was about eight years old. I was always slightly overweight my whole life until I figured it out a few years ago at age 65….. yes, I like your website. You’re doing a good job. It’s exhausting to keep buying clothes and buying clothes n the damn things always have to fit.
OMG, THANK YOU for the "hairband first" idea!! Eureka!!! I WANT to wear pretty scarves in my hair, but I don't because they NEVER stay put. Hopefully, now they will 😊😊😊
I especially like the with-hat version; it might even help hats fit better (I find most one-size hats a bit too large). The ponytail tie-around is definitely for me and my very long hair (which needs a trim soon but is currently several inches past my waist). I just hope I have one long enough! Even the "Canadian Tuxedo" looked pretty good with that lovely scarf.
I have many very expensive scarves ….in my drawer! Thank you ! Now I have so many ideas how to enjoy them..All the best wishes and big THANKS ! 🇨🇦🇭🇷♥️👍
I had loved scarves when I was young, but got harassed by dumb teens accusing me of hiding a hickey. There is a trip to Paris planned. Time to bring them back
Thanks, I needed this, just didn't know it! LOL...I have some beautiful silk scarves that were given to me from a missionary while visiting the place where they made them. Never knew how to wear them other than the usual. I'm going to get them out and try some of your ideas. 🥰
diana, respectfully, you can pull off all of these variations bc you are confident, playful & gorgeous: i, however, am confident that i'd never be able to pull off most of them that said, great video!
I love silk scarves! So very classically stylish and versatile. Occasionally, there’s some not made of silk that have very pretty patterns too, but 90%+ of my collection is silk. No-slip headband is indispensable for half wrap/headband style. Thanks for mentioning it, and your other sensible, artistic suggestions made here!
I love your qwerky personality and you are so creative ! I never saw your longer hair, but this cut is really beautiful and suits you very much .I look forward to watching many more of your interesting videos.🥰
@@unblahyourself Yes I did thank you. In the past I had really short hair. Then I grew it long and then cut it short again and have had long to shoulder length hair for 20 years. I have naturally wavy curly hair that has a life of its own. So it's time for a change. Hair grows so it's not the end of the world if I don't like it. Thank you very much for the link I will watch it again. 👍🥰Xxx
Thanks very much for this fantastic demo. . . I now know how to confidently style and tease my gorgeous scarf collection into delicious, and even exotic, new l👀ks! Blah has never been an acquaintance of mine. 😊
I love your scarf patterns. Especially Fiona. But I never feel like I look good in them. My hair, my face shape, getting ho with stuff around my neck. I’ll have to try your ideas
Hi Diana. My question is: what to do with the ugly tags? Some tags are chic-especially museum, art expo type scarves. But some must be cut off!! How without ruining the scarf??
It's tricky! You have to have very sharp scissors and maybe have a seamstress friend do it. I cut all my tags off and some still have that little bit of tag left but I'd rather have that than a whole tag.
Have recently found you and was wondering if you have done a video on how to store your scarves? How to look after silk scarves so they don't get wrinkled and crushed. I put in a ring thing in the wardrobe but not sure is best idea. Woollen ones I fold and put in pile. Any tips for how to keep and store would be great.
When thrifting, how can one tell if a fabric is actual silk? What do you look or feel for? I’ve ordered items marketed as “silk” but I’m pretty sure what I received was a type of satin.
It's sometimes hard to tell the difference once you get into a more satin kind of weave but my favorite way of telling is the "crush test" where you crunch up the fabric and hold it in your hand for 30 seconds to a minute and when you let go, if it has wrinkles it might be silk, and if it doesn't it's probably not.
I must have missed the why people don't like scarves. I can't think of a reason but I'm sure there would be. I'm glad I love scarves. My collection would be sad if I ignored it. 😂
I think you mostly see the gray in natural lighting, but when I do these videos where I can't get direct natural light I have to use lighting, and it's harder to see the gray. It's definitely there!
Why do most videos go to the blazer or jacket thing after they finish a pant outfit/ dress/skirt? So boring, we all look like little soldiers. Just an observation. Liked the scarves but one other way to wear a neck scarf is to make a rose and tie on the side. It’s rather beautiful with anything!
I try not to do too many blazer combos because so many women don't want to look like they are going to the office, but a blazer definitely adds structure easily!
Lady people they say that you like the camera stop talking too much and they are other shows they don't talk and they show how to wear your scarf you haven't saw anything different

I got scarves for my sister, and a great hat that suited her style. Even after her hair grew back, she still wears them.

Turban/headscarf: use a plastic headband inside the fold to secure it to the head & fold, twist, tie w/out it sliding off.
Once again, thank you for more creative ways to wear silky scarves, without tying them round your neck. I can't wait to try many of these ideas.

A good woman never has too many (silk) scarves. Fact.
Truth!
But how does the first example stay on if you are driving? Should you anchor it somewhere?

No doubt at the thrift store! She seems to get everything there.
I pick up these straw hats here and there. I think this one came either from the hardware store or Olvera Street in Los Angeles.

Did you call that denim jacket a Canadian Tuxedo? What exactly is that supposed to mean?
Hello. Since I saw your video about going grey, how is it possible it doesn't look like it in this video. Change of heart?🎉❤
I think you mostly see the gray in natural lighting, but when I do these videos where I can't get direct natural light I have to use lighting, and it's harder to see the gray. It's definitely there!
I don't understand the comment Canadian Tuxedo?? I am Canadian and have never heard that before.
It's when you wear matching denim on the top and the bottom.
@@unblahyourself So what is Canadian about that
@brendaguerin5423 I'm not sure! It's just what everyone calls that look. 😄
When I lived in the UK it was known as "double denim."
No, you don't need to grow your hair. The longer hair in your older videos "blah-ed" you. This style really compliments your face. Remain bold! 😊
Thank you!
Thanks for the great videos. Would love to see styles that cover butts & tummies😂👏
