hello well i have a ford fiesta 2012 and i dont know it if it would make my mpg go up more or what it would do for me but i would get like a 3.76 hp gain is what i seen from K&N but i dont trust AEM
You should NOT put the oil on the inside or on the "engine" side of airbox of the filter. Specially if you car has a MAF sensor. The oil will damage the sensor.

if you ever redo your heads, look and see how pitted they are from these "high flow" filters, your motor won't blow up but its life and efficiency will be reduced over time
i have this fucking problem, plz help me in this one ___----- after cleaning the filter i lubed with sqeezer it after 20 min allowed 20 min to wick it as per manual, my bike choked every time i accelerated ok i thought i put too much oil or left it wet, after that i degreased it again and left it to dry for a day even put it under sun to dry completely then lubed it with minimum oil and let it wick for a day then also after installing it choked .....can any one tell me what causing me this ?
This filter isn't K&N, this is a JLT intake system. Filter is similar to K&N. But K&N has always been a favorite filter brand of mine. No reason in particular.
Using the K&N cleaning kit is unnecessary and costly ,you can use soapy warm water to soak and rinse the filter ,after that air dry the filter once dry you can apply any kind of mineral oil to the filter using baby oil and spray bottle from a dollar store just spray with oil and re install bact to your car and your done ,total cost $2.00 and your time ...

it does, and it runs with dry filter . as soon as i oil it even with 5-6 drops of kn oil is starts to choke.
Does your bike run without the filter?

How long should you let the filter dry?

+Daniel W Haha good point. But a good filter can also help with mpg, slightly but still helps. And who wants to buy filters every year.

You can use these same steps in cleaning any reusable filter.
