Note if some people are still getting untexttured skins after following these steps correctly make sure the custom folder has no capital letter or spaces. That was what my problem was

i put it all in lowercase and no spaces and still have the same problem they make this so easy and yet i am still strugglin 😭

First and foremost I wanna say thanks for the video I really appreciate it. Second I followed the steps in making sure my file doesn't have any spaces or capital letters. But it still comes out black and purple and I believe it may be because it is 3 pixel?
How do I change the pixel size of the skin so it is compatible? What editor should I use or what do you recommend?
If you use the 1.16.5 version of the mod, it will allow you to use 3 pixel arm skins! :)

Hello this tutorial worked really well! But is there a way to change the color of the npc name? I haven't seem to found a way yet so I would really appreciate it if you knew how :)

I have a problem and its when ever i use the npc mod in game and right click the wand it doesnt show the character it shows a wayy different menu
I would use an older version, the newer versions are currently undergoing a bunch of huge updates that are really not functional. I'm waiting to make an updated tutorial on this when a finished version comes out since people are having issues with this tutorial.

Yes, everybody in your server will be able to see it IF they have CustomNPCs
I am having some problems. Me and my friends are playing on a multiplayer server that is ours and when someone tries to add a custom skin, for the other player the skin of the NPC is purple and black. Can this be fixed?
Make sure the skin's file name is:
All lowercase
No spaces
No special characters
(and just to be safe no numbers)
i used 7zip and followed the steps, but even after making the custom folder and adding a skin, the option to use the custom skin from the custom folder doesnt show up on the minecraft npc skin menu. Is there any way to fix this?
The mod has been updated a lot recently so I may need to make an updated version of this tutorial. I'm currently waiting for the developer to finish his major UI update before I record it.
Hey, for some reason my winRAR isn't letting me add a new folder so I can add skins. Is there a possible way to fix this? sorry to bother you...
Have you tried using a different zip extractor? I recently started using 7Zip because it's faster than WinRAR

The only mods I've ever used with this is Optifine and WorldEdit and they've all ran fine!

My custom folder nor the skin doesn’t appear, i tried putting my own skins in the existing folders as well but still doesn’t show up

Whenever you put any file in the entity folder or change part of it. It force-deletes the entire CustomNPC Mod entirely. I can't put a new folder with the name custom or any change in there without force deleting the whole thing.

im on 1.12.2 when i create a file in winrar it deletes the jar and cant be undone unless you reinstall anyone know why?
Maybe use something other than WinRAR, you could try 7Zip or NanaZip maybe?

You just need to locate your CurseForge profile's mods folder and follow the same steps!

Everytime I try to make a folder, it immediately deletes the mod from my modpack

The thing isn't working anymore. Whenever you put any sort of file in the entity folder or change part of it. It force deletes the whole entire CustomNPC Mod entirely or atleast makes it disappear and never to be seen again. Whenever you try change even one part of the detail of the file. The computer thinks the folder is changing your computer so it spots it as a virus and deletes it. Without the virus protection it will force delete it anyway.
Short words: Change one part or add one thing to the entity folder or whats inside it will remove the CustomNPC Mod entirely thinking its a threat to the computer.

How do you remove the custom eyes
In the first tab I think you press "Edit" and then you can remove the eyes there
So I`ve made the skins 4 pixels and I`v removed caps and spaces from their names yet there still showing up purple anyone know how to fix this?
Did you have Minecraft closed while you did it?

Try something like 7zip instead just in case.
Also when i load the game in and use the skins on the npcs they are all purple what did i do wrong
2 things could go wrong here.
1. The skin has Alex arms.
2. The file has spaces in the name.
