This is one of the best SCPs articles IMO. It’s so strange, dark, and mysterious. Why is this “portal” to other universes here? Stacked on top of each other? It seems infinite, but the idea of a “ceiling” or “capstone” of reality is subtlety terrifying. What are these beings that preside in this tower? What do they want? Is there an impending invasion, or are they simply looking down on us, like gods looking down at ants? What happens if we try to destroy or seal off the tower? Personally, my favorite part is the idea of this one-man MTF unit, a blind, deaf and mute agent that is somehow one of the best assets of the Foundation, sent in to deal with only the most dangerous SCPs.
I think the whole point is that the other realities stacked on top of one another are fake, created by the anomalies to draw in curious people. However, as for the origins of the anomalies, who knows?
@@raymantamantaray1743 Please excuse me for my incompetence. I failed miserably to understand that "The thing" references a movie. I have sinned greatly, and I fear my life is not enough as a punishment for my utter and complete failure.
So something just clicked for me. The Foundation said they received the final log from Dr. William's from somewhere other than The Tower. That means that the beings left with the cellphone and sent the log to the Foundation themselves. The beings wanted them to know that they're out there.
That's confusing to me, if only because they are shown to be unable to access the host's memories accurately, so how did the creature know how to send the file along and to whom.
You ever just sit and think "It was already contained you fools" at the foundation? That would open Pandora's box and praise themselves for figuring out what was inside that needed containing
@@lahuk1194 yes but that seems counterproductive as the parasites need the body to return to the surface meaning at one point. One escaped and locked it and we know it had to somewhat recently if the locks suggest they aren't rusted so I would think wouldn't it be better to lure them in with just 1 subject then lock the door? nice idea tho
I’m honestly kinda glad this article shook up the exploration log formula of 1) D Class goes in and sees something spooky 2) MTF goes in, but then camera feed goes out 3) better MTF sent in to get better footage of spooky thing. It’s a good formula that allows for more world building and creative expansion rather than focusing on story elements, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t get old sometimes. Even just the minor changes that this article made were refreshing. It kinda made me realize how often that exploration log formula is used without an real deviation. There have been some great articles written on that formula, but I think it would be cool to see more people expanding on the foundation itself. Even just the specialist who went in gave an interesting new aspect to the foundation’s operations, despite how small of a tweak it really was.
Remember reading this too as one guy said in the comments using the randomizer for article selection in the SCP site. Your vids really help me understand it more as you bring insight and add on to reads sometimes. Keep it up man :)
Honestly it would make sense in universe. The SCP Foundation is by it's nature dangerous to anything anomalous. The longer they operate and the more they contain, the more likely something dangerous notices them and makes them a target.
I remember being sort of elitist about SCPs, thinking that the first series was by far the best and everything above 1999 was not wort my time, but damn... The longer the SCP Wiki exists the more creative and daring the writers need to be. This is a perfect example of how this method of storytelling can creep under your skin and unnerve you.
I thought about having a crack at writing an SCP, but as they are well and truly above 5000 I think I don't think I'm creative enough to come up with something new.

The scariest thing about this SCP for me is mainly about the D-Class. The fact that he died getting teared by SCP-3333-1 as he was sleeping was something that made me fill with terror. The worse part was that that D-Class was still speaking to the doctor. The doctor had no idea that he had became a husk. The SCP Foundation is definitely a really interesting website, that has a deeper meaning within. This is how I appreciate its content

@@raymantamantaray1743 Please excuse me for my incompetence. I failed miserably to understand that "The thing" references a movie. I have sinned greatly, and I fear my life is not enough as a punishment for my utter and complete failure.
Basically the guy had just mentioned "the Thing" and not that it is a movie
pan psalt nah it’s my fault on my behalf, shouldve been more specific so others can understand the reference what I’m tryna pull
So something just clicked for me. The Foundation said they received the final log from Dr. William's from somewhere other than The Tower.
That means that the beings left with the cellphone and sent the log to the Foundation themselves. The beings wanted them to know that they're out there.
"fear me"
That's confusing to me, if only because they are shown to be unable to access the host's memories accurately, so how did the creature know how to send the file along and to whom.
You ever just sit and think "It was already contained you fools" at the foundation?
That would open Pandora's box and praise themselves for figuring out what was inside that needed containing
Nobody seems to wonder, who locked the trapdoor in the first place?
Me :)
I think the idea is that it was the SCP itself, its meant to make people wonder, open it up, and explore, in order to get victims to disguise as.
@@dustinsterling3248 Oh thanks dude

There’s no princess at the top of this tower to save I guess? D:
depends on if gelatinous bodysnatchers can be princesses
John O. Than that’s a princess NOBODY wants to save
Why would there be a princess at the end
boi 101 it’s a joke
Ok then
Yeesh! A mix of The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers *and* Dead Space? I'm sold!
Remember reading this too as one guy said in the comments using the randomizer for article selection in the SCP site. Your vids really help me understand it more as you bring insight and add on to reads sometimes. Keep it up man :)
cosmic trapdoor spiders/skin walkers, well there's something to be paranoid about.
Me: *Takes a homework break*
TES: *Releases a new video*
Me: Maybe 343 is real after all
Does anyone else feel like there are more and more entities targeting the SCP foundation specifically?
Honestly it would make sense in universe. The SCP Foundation is by it's nature dangerous to anything anomalous. The longer they operate and the more they contain, the more likely something dangerous notices them and makes them a target.
I didn’t know 3333 was rewritten again. I like this edit a lot more than the demonic fox edit, but the original body snatcher entry is still gold.
Ive seen almost all your SPC videos and usually love the horrors involved but this one definitely gave me the chills...
This is such a good scp, it’s a classic👍
SPC = Shark Puncher Center
man. this whole thing was amazing, i was able to watch it in 10 minutes
9 minutes tops.
This was one of the first scp I ever read, it was nice to hear someone talk about it and clear somethings up
When the doctor died and tried to talk to Anette, I cried a little. It's just so sad.
You always know it’s gonna be a good one when you hear “exploration log”
I used to love these scp videos before the pandemic. Now I live for them.
Hands down one of my favorite scp’s. Can we have more like this one?
The tension and mystery is just incredible.
I remember being sort of elitist about SCPs, thinking that the first series was by far the best and everything above 1999 was not wort my time, but damn... The longer the SCP Wiki exists the more creative and daring the writers need to be. This is a perfect example of how this method of storytelling can creep under your skin and unnerve you.
literally under your skin in this case.
I thought about having a crack at writing an SCP, but as they are well and truly above 5000 I think I don't think I'm creative enough to come up with something new.
@@RecklessInternetting same here. i've got a few ideas myself but i'm not sure if they're good enough/ different enough.
I've been waiting for you to do 3333, this is one of my favorite SCPs, thank you sir! :)
I live in Washington and im actually pretty close to Snoqualmie. it is fucking amazingly cold but some of the most beautiful Forest you'll ever see, during the summer it's paradise. I've been up Baker for snowboarding so this scp spooks me loool
I visited a relative in Washington about 10 years ago and she took me to mount Rainier, saying that St. Helens was overrated. Unfortunately I couldn't go very far since the previous day I had tripped and split my shin on a rock and walking on it for too long made it feel like an inferno. Very nice mountain though from what I saw of it.
everybody gangster till the SCP foundation sends in helen keller
Helen Keller with an ESP signal system impeded in their palm, hella drugs, and a title called "Specialist 0: Agent Nullwalker"
This is honestly my favourite SCP I’ve read and I highly recommend checking out the actual article to witness the real beauty of it.
I'm so happy you uploaded, can't get enough of this during quarantine:)
I don't know why, but I was expecting a legitimately uplifting story to come out of '-3333, but I guess that sort of thing in the SCP universe is few and far between
5:15 "The sacrificial D-class has been sent through."
Hahaha, love it. The ultimate litmus test on whether an MTF is needed or not.
When in doubt send in more D-class.
I was afraid you had gotten sick, good thing I can still fall asleep listening to horror
Same lol
Same
I like the ones where the foundation completely misjudges the situation and just keeps sending people through the meat grinder.
AAAAAA I've been waiting for this! It's like the SCP eeternal staircase meets the bodysnatchers. I'm so glad you're covering it! I wonder if you ever need a female VA? I'd be happy to send you my demo reel 💜

MTF Agent: what? It was obvious, she’s the red spy! Look, she’ll turn red any second now. Anyyyyyy second now.
I like how when you read random scp's they just show up in your recomended few years later.
I know I can , and do, just read the SCP entries, but the way you narrate these adds that extra layer of dread. As always, nicely done.
I feel like this was a great video.
Good SCP selection, good length, good commentary
I just wanna day thank you for making this AWESOME SCP Content every week. It’s a nice way of starting my Monday morning coffee. *Smiles as he’s brewing Coffee* “These MTF Teams are not ready for this anomaly At ALL”
d-class: notices some figures out in the distance that can't be seen by anyone else
Me: Fear intensifies
Nice entry - probably one of the scariest. Gotta love the thing-inspired stories
You know, it is possible that the whole, "Ever since you were a little girl" thing was just the entity lying to be cruel. I mean, "You've always had pretty eyes isn't the kind of statement that self-factchecks. It didn't reveal a secret, it just said something disturbing.
You know i never noticed but the soft creepy music that plays really helps send shivers down the spine

I love watching these videos. They are a surprisingly good thing to fall asleep too the only problem being I have to check which ones I sleep through so I can re watch them
This is one of my favorite scps! Thanks for covering it!
Blind, deaf, mute and trapped in a haunted tower while being watched by a monster.
Null-Walker: Guess ill do meth...
Reminds me a bit of the Staircase SCP, just with moving upwarts and an impersonater within.
you can ascend scp 3333 or descend scp 914, either way you're going to make some spooky friends and may or may not have a good time. I think 914 has a higher rate of survival from exploration logs

WELL. This was a DELIGHTFUL video to listen to *right before bed.*
Simple fix, just don't sleep
I really appreciate these videos! I love to listen to them to help me fall asleep and honestly their release is how I gauge when the week starts
"Disgusting, horrific and disturbing. What more do you want from an SCP?"
I'm sorry, have you met SCP-999?
Excellent visuals and story telling as always; proud to be an Exploring Series globetrotter!
This is one of my fave SCPs. Thanks for covering it!
good taste
they send in a d class, camera cuts out, send in mtf, cameras cut out. 90% of these stories are like this. what fantastic writing. such ingenuity. This post could be an scp story
The camera feeds last longer with the MTF to be fair.
The Explorer always comes through with quality
I fo really appreciate the way you look at these stories and surmise them so well
I don't know if you've done one on the SCP called "This Dying World"? But could you please do one on the SCP called "the void singularity!".
I love that they mention how horribly dangerous Mt. Rainer is.... It's predicted eruption path pretty much wipes out all of Seattle and the surrounding area, clogs the Puget Sound with debris and that is not even considering that Raineer is actually a magma volcano, not just an Ash one like St. Hellens.
I like to think that there is a phase shifted ribbon wrapped around the top of the magma chamber and holding it shut. Still can't decide who is holding it though, guess it depends which pantheons you believe in.
I'm shocked this hasn't been done already. Top ten for me.
I actually got to spend the night in a fire tower near Mt. Baker. It was the scariest night of my life. So many growls, howls, and weird whistling sounds. I hate the damn woods!!!
This would've been perfect for the GOC
Anyone else notice the similarities between 3333 and the tower in Jeff Vandermeer's book Annihilation? Anomalous structure with many many floors, madness, etc ... good stuff !!!
Gonna be honest, I’ve not missed one scp upload in months, good material to fall asleep to
This SCP is one of the best ones I have heard you recount. I appreciate your work on these. Keep up the good work!
Why do you have to make me stay up after midnight just when I’m about to go to sleep because I can’t wait until tomorrow. I love your videos!
This is riveting, stunning, the ending? *chef’s kiss* brilliant.
