Forgot to put in my usual explanation text, but the reason there are so many random sun artworks is because 2456 is somewhat connected to the sun, and because I needed to fill 26 minutes with artwork. Could be worse, I could fill a video with pictures of dishwashers or something.

The Sarkicists might have cornered the market on unspeakable body horror, but damn if the Fifthists don't have some of the most unsettling, mindbending and downright exploitative anomalies. Fitting, considering the clear parallels to Scientology.
I love this one, especially the Taiping Rebellion, Atenism, and French Revolution stuff, on top of the idea that this is at the root of basically all Fifthist stuff. The whole “dormant memetic parasite” in a huge chunk of the population” bit reminds me of latent toxoplasmosis - now that’s some scary shit.
I’ve never been a big fan of 3125 as the Fifthist God, but the author of this one seems to have that in mind.
This was actually written before 3125! It just so happens to line up nicely with Antimemetics Division.

That's wild. When describing the effects of the SCP I immediately thought of the Taiping rebellion. Then there it is in the 'historical' cases. I feel like that might actually be the initial source of inspiration for this SCP. A guy thought he was Jesus' brother. By the time everything was through tens of millions had died.

For some reason I get the image of the crusades in my mind when the reference of the bad things happening. Also considering the geometric shapes this makes me think that the parasite could potentially create a burst of advancing a civilization. When you walk from trees into man made things , it can't but be so noticed all the straight lines , and sharp corners.
11:58 So I did some researching, and it turns out that before September 27 2019, this article did have images, and for the case of SCP-2456-1E, it showed a pic of old native american rock art painted between 1,000-4,000 years ago in the Lower Pecos Canyonlands in Texas. Assuming we have no written records of the natives there from that period (I'm no archeologist), you gotta wonder how the Foundation was able to figure out an SCP-2456-1 instance occurred there.

It's pretty neat that the author incorporates a lot of real history into this SCP. The Taiping Rebellion was the second dealiest conflict in history, killing more people than WW1 but less than WW2. That's a pretty bad religious contagion.

I don’t know why I like watching these so much. I guess it just gives me a world to escape to where there are anomalies that cannot be explained. I think the SCP universe is similar to our universe because it has viruses and occasional breaches, however they work differently in both worlds
