It sounds weird but I like the addition of the segregated streetcar (I noticed it instantly, interesting to see that others didn't on first watch!). A desperately sad reminder of the reality of Louis and Claudia's situation in the 1900s, which shouldn't be forgotten. Louis and Lestat winking at each other was a sweet touch.
It's tragic to see how in love with Lestat Louis was even after everything he had done to him when Claudia came back. Jacob Anderson brings so much to this version of Louis, I was a stauch Louis-disliker while reading the books and watching the film but show!Louis has my entire heart.
Agree. I loved the stories but never particularly cared for Louis or about Louis and Lestat as a couple. Loustat from the show though, man it's heartbreaking. I just want them to go to supernatural couples therapy and family counseling. Find Claudia a companion of her own and be one big happy family of four even though I already know how all this plays out.
Yes. I did NOT care for Louis from the books at all. I DO think TV Louis IS manipulative by being emotionally withholding, but I can relate to him more being a black, gay man myself. And the fact this Louis DOES show Lestat love at times. BUT he was DEAD-WRONG 4 treating Lestat like a non-entity while Claudia had left for 7yrs & blaming it on Lestat when HE was the 1 who begged Lestat to "make 🧛🏽♀️" her, though Lestat warned him it was a bad idea. Lestat KNEW her mind would quickly outgrow her child-like body & she would grow to resent them for it. But Louis wanted what he wanted, & when Claudia called him on his selfishness in making her --- he projects the blame onto Lestat though Lestat stood by him the whole time Claudia was gone.
@@Ceares lol. Same. They are so beautiful physically and in their chemistry as a family. In an alternate universe, Charlie was made a vampire and Claudia and Charlie live in the townhome next-door and pop in on their vampire daddies for a visit 🥺
The brilliance of this scene: they are in a segregated bus , going hunting in a different town, lestat facial expression when they are talking is amazing, when Louis started to talk about Lili , they heartbeat were no longer in sink , jealous lestat. Because now we now he's been listening, u can see it clearly, from his expression, plus that 'I'm supper piste walk" .
Yeah I totally didn’t catch the fact the first time around that they were on a segregated bus or that Lestat’s vamp side piece was sitting two rows in front of him. But Lestat, like the other person said, can’t hear Louis or Claudia (or Antoinette), so it was his justifiable paranoia on display.
The dynamic of this family is so intense. They’ve all hurt each other in terrible ways & yet fate has tied them all to one another & it’ll never let them leave each other for good. The line between love & hate can be thin sometimes, but Lestat, Louis & Claudia were destined to be a family. Two fathers & their daughter. Love this new adaptation so much!
The brilliance of this scene is that in retrospect, it is very obvious that Lestat is reacting to their conversation and can hear everything they’re saying in real time, but because the audience doesn’t know about Antoinette , we think it’s impossible and a misdirection.
It would have been impossible to notice all the little details on the first watch. Only when you rewatch this scene do you see Antoinette in the front row... Louis and Lestat's heart beats in sync then out of sync... Lestat's angry yet composed expression... etc
This show is hilariously funny the vampire characters are not creepy or threatening at all they like a bunch of poofy 🤡 and they are just so 🔥🔥🔥at all times they burning down the set ain't no one scared of u lol Lil foo foo fireball 😄
0:48 “Give him all your heart and I’ll do the rest.” Because even as they plot to kill Lestat, their daughter Claudia knows and is certain of how much his Daddy Lou loves Papa Lestat. And now I’m sobbing 😭
I love how much Louis & Lestat love each other….it’s toxic, but it’s real❤️. Lestat dragged Louis by his throat, then dropped him out of the sky and Louis’ heart still skips a beat for Lestat because he knows that Lestat was just enraged at the thought of Louis leaving him. Most of us humans can barely make it through a year in a relationship💔
Yep! And I believe that was Claudia's big mistake, not seeing how strong the bond between Louis and lestat was. She knew louis loved lestat, but she didn't anticipate how much he loved him, even more then he loved her.
He loves Claudia but he’s completely in love with Lestat. He gets weak in the knees when he looks at Lestat….his genuine adoration is sweet, but it breaks his heart & soul that Lestat will never be faithful to him💔
Lestat is extremely faithful to the loving bond they built. Louis died in his human life, in Lestat's arms, and was reborn in his life. Home (love) is an indestructible bond, and even though Lestat has extramarital relationships, it is banal in his conception, as his sense of fidelity transcends what humans understand. The love he has for Louis is unique, indestructible, passionate, devoted, just like Louis who will understand later.

(Lestat been working on him from day one., love bombing, vampire telepathy, seduction, and more.)
Claudia was Louis most loving bond. They were very healthy, in part, due to Claudia's ability to discern the truth more so than Louis. Louis sexual intimacy with Lestat neutralized the truth of Lestat's reality.
How subtle that their house is divided as Jim Crow is being ushered in (the street car seating is divided by color). Even without the plot against Lestat their lives were about to get even harder...
It's funny that Lestat can hear them talking now and Claudia is aware of that😂😂 Claudia once said that Lestat would be the dumbest one because he is not able to read their minds since he's the maker. It turned out it was Louis being the dumbest one all along 😂😂😂
Yea Lestat can always tell when they’re speaking telepathically and he knows that they’re up to something via Antoinette who projects what she hears into Lestat’s mind.
Claudia’s mistake was telling Louis to give his all to Lestat. Unfortunately it was necessary since Louis is like the world’s worst liar. It’s adorable how their heartbeats will synchronize when they’re together though. Soulmates through and through.
I can’t with Jacob Anderson’s smile. It’s so bright and sweet :,)
Same, he can make anybody’s heart beat again with that smile 😊❤️
It’s so soft & sweet 🥰
He literally looks so beautiful when he smiles. I had no idea how handsome he was during Game of Thrones because his character was always frowning😂
Cute as a button and repulsively sexy at the same time. Hard to pull off
@@nickimillennium It is easy to see his beauty through any facial expression he makes.
