Ladies, not only have you have become like family during the pandemic, but have kept me sane. Thank you for all the recipes - this one will be on the menu tonight.
Making these tonight for dinner. Everything is prepped and ready to go. Serving with black beans and green salad. I can tell it's going to be delicious! 🤤
Me and my mom did this recipe (though with a ground beef mixture, not shrimp) and it was really good! Prepping the tortillas made it really easy to pop everything in the oven when it was ready, and the tacos were beautifully crisp but pliable. It was also amazing how hot they stayed for so long! It was great, will do again.
I almost always have a head of cabbage in my refrigerator. It keeps for good amount of time and I can just shred off what I need for a meal, wrap it back up and put it back. Great crunch and a healthy touch. And cheap!
@@unclesugslooseboootyhole2075 I keep it in a plastic container (I like the 2 and 4 qt Cambro containers, I get them online from Webstaurantstore.com) and drape a damp towel over the head and change it once or twice a week. A head lasts me 3 or so weeks this way.
Who hurt me? This recipe hurt me! But I'm a believer in offering a solution along with criticism, so here you go...the real deal...you're welcome: th-cam.com/video/tNnFZB4mYK4/w-d-xo.html

@@unclesugslooseboootyhole2075 Yes! Tasty shrimp and crispy, cheesy taco shell. Love the technique of cooking the taco shells on baking sheets to cook many at the same time.
1:40 Kinda surprised they don‘t know about this, but the seeds actually aren‘t the spicy part! The white „flesh“ is where the heat comes from. Just a sidenote, the tacos still look delicious tho
Thank you! I thought I was the only one that that was a pet peeve of mine when people keep saying the heat is in the seeds. It’s not, it’s in the ribs the seeds carry a little bit of the oils but are also usually the cause for stomach and intestinal problems if you want the heat, keep the ribs in tact.
I’m going to make these today! Sans ketchup because I don’t have any. I don’t allow it in the house 😁 Edit to add that I’ve made these several times by now. Our favorite taco recipe! I’ve used other meats too, such as left over chicken or ground beef, etc.
Made these today! Honestly they tasted too sweet. I think the sum of sugar from the tomatoes and ketchup came through. Although the white corn tortillas I bought were sweet on their own (even though there was 0g of sugar in the ingredients). Just something to look out for. Valentina hot sauce is a must!
I had a Chinese girlfriend that stir fried shrimp with ketchup, butter, garlic, a little sugar and a splash of soy sauce. Who knew Ketchup was so International?
@@sandrah7512 it’s a shrimp taco??? Woow I didn’t read the title. Because CLEARLY some ppl don’t suffer from shellfish allergies. And also while one may not eat shrimp, one may love OTHER components of this meal and want to try it. So yes kudos to you for pointing out that it’s a shrimp recipe. Oh lord! How do I right this sin I committed of asking for a substitute for one ingredient of this recipe??!!!!
@@sandrah7512 exactly!! It’s all MY fault for not stating WHY I wanted a substitute. Even thought you didn’t ask me why I wanted a substitute. Oh how horrifying!
Lol yup We even been putting ketchup in our tacos for centuries. We call them “ghetto tacos” there’s a food truck in oakland California that’s makes them this way
1:05 - Mexicans I know cut onions distinctly different than this method. They first half the onion, then they cut from the stem end to the root and, then they simply cut across to get the dice they need. Unless you might be really clutzy, there is no good way to cut yourself using the Mexican method. Let me know if you need a tutorial. Gracias!
I like your twist on the shrimp taco because it is a much healthier version of the deep fried breaded shrimp tacos I have had. I would leave out the ketchup, black pepper, and cheese and instead add oregano, chopped cilantro, and maybe a bit of sour cream or plain yogurt.
Just made this recipe It is great, the tacos were super crispy, but I found it be too liquidy. It was dripping out as I was biting into them. I suspect the culprit is shrimp. So next time I make them I will charr the shrimp separately with Mexican spices and add them as a topping at the end. The shrimp will have so much more flavor this way and it will reduce the liquidiness.
Just one word is all that's needed.... Wow! WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!
Julia has such beautiful knife skills.

I agree totally!!!!!
me too!!! Love them!
Made these a few times. The hardest part is not burning your fingers when you fold the piping hot tacos. It’s one of my favorite recipes 😋
Use a wooden spoon to hold it down and tongs to fold it. It took me several tries to figure it out.

That sounds great, some nice crunchy Napa Cabbage is my lettuce substitute!

Watch you guys a lot have made a shrimp taco yet looks delicious I'll be trying it this weekend
Man ATK just loves tomato flavor. If you ever try their recipe they are super tomato flavor based.
I could eat these everyday...not kidding.
all I would add is a side of refried beans.
Nice recipe, I actually like shrimp puffy tacos, also fish puffy tacos, could you ladies do a recipe for us viewers ? Ty

Who's the classy lady in the ponytail? I like her.
I will try it but the Italian in me, questions combining shrimp with cheese. They do look good.
I felt the same but the cheese is mild & it works well.
Pro seeds. Yes.
Those are just killer tacos...mmmmmm
I am gonna buy the taco first
I trust beautiful mature shapely women with food critique.
our gas oven has a burner on the top, would you put the tacos up high? Charles
No. The top burner inside your oven is the broiler. There's a bottom heating element as well.
