I'm in the ocean until the end of February (New Hampshire) so 60 degree pool water is nothing to me. Then a hot cup of black coffee. I also have gone barefoot in the snow many times and winter camp.
I know your pain. I’m by the Great Lakes in WI and my legs turn ice cold within mins. This reminds me of the polar plunges people do in the winter. Summers in the lake are enough for me. 😊 Keep us updated its interesting to know if you find benefits from doing it.
You are very relatable. I automatically shut off when I watch guys who are doing miserable things and saying "This is fantastic" while struggling to smile. The ice bath doesn't feel great but it has benefits that outweigh the discomfort. I absolutely agree my knees and ankles feel so much better afterwards. I mentally go very far away until my timer goes off. Thanks for sharing.
Keegan, you are NUTS! But hey, it's just delightful looking at you and hearing you talk. It's always a joy to see a new video of yours. Thanks a million!
This is incredible, especially to those of us with health issues that prevent it and make it extra impressive. I think I literally have trauma related to child and I go into a mild triggered state, and the opposite of those benefits happens. Hopefully when enough healing in therapy happens, I'll be able to do something like desensitization and maybe get some of those amazing benefits. But if all it does is help me tolerate cold without losing my extremities early, I'd take it. Thanks for taking the time do this with so much info. Can't wait for an update.
Used to swim in Lake Skaneateles, one of the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY….the temperature rarely went above 60 deg even at the end of summer. Movement was the only thing that made it tolerable.
I hate being cold and I grew up in the tip of Texas so it was always hot. I was in the Army over 20 years and there were many times I had to take cold showers (freezing 🥶 cold). But I found that I felt much better after each shower while we were training. I learned that if I warmed up my hands and feet quickly my experience was much better after each cold shower. 😊 great information. Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing this. Very Interesting & Informative. I am going to try this to challenge myself mentally ( I hate cold weather and water ), and to try to hopefully reap the benefits physically to as I suffer from Fybromyalgia, Neuropathy & Chronic pain due to a bad bout of Shingles 9 years ago! But Do I need to speak to a Dr before beginning this as I have additional health issues? Thank you ! Love the pair of you ❤❤❤ P.S . You are the 1st person I have seen, who has more swimwear than I do too 😂
Congrats on being so relatable and articulate even with teeth chattering!!! This theme is very relatable!!! Me I just hopefully plug along hopefully at a steady rate!😉😁🤣 great work! The birds are cheering you on!!
Very informative! I was fully diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis be fighting it for the last year! Thinking if this will help me or not! Great work as always!
I have been doing ice baths on and off over the last few months. I just got out of sitting in a 34F Ice bath for about 2 minutes 40 seconds, but I always take a hot shower first then do some breathing exercises before I get in and then back in the shower after. I always keep my hands out until the end and then I dunk my whole body in. Glad you are enjoying them, haha.
Congrats making it through the first week. So, did Joel jump in afterwards? Seeing you jump in the tub reminds me when I used to play beach volleyball tournaments in May and early June and jumped into Lake Michigan to rinse off. After passing a certain body area, it wasn't that bad (This was 35 years ago, btw)
I bet there's mental health benefits too, aside from confidence and everything else Keegan mentioned. Submersing yourself in water is calming, despite the freezing temp. You're able to get out of the grind of your schedule and process your thoughts in a different way.
[Keegan, this really scares me because I have experienced irregular heart beats. I would think that cold water could trigger rapid a heart rate. A perfectly good bag of fine ice on this madness. Just freeze some tap water, ffs.]
[Keegan, I see you have a stiff upper lip. You "look" healthy so I am glad for that. There are so many dangerous things going on here in the US. Just be glad you made it home in one piece]

I once belonged to a gym, which had a steam room, sauna and cold plunge (which was kept at 42°F)

Thank you for letting us see you in your speedo’s… No shrinkage problem here lol
Love it! Make sure you are keeping the water chlorinated properly between plunges too. You don’t want to get a skin infection.
How many bathing suits do you have? You must have changed your bathing suit at least 10 times. You looked good in every single one of them.
It's Joel ripping them off.

Your very Brave. Be very interesting to hear how you get on and your true thoughts on the benefits. 😊

Love your videos Keegan!! What's the name of the book you were talking at 9:43 ? Couldn't hear because of the bird .. x)
Well done Keegan, you’re an inspiration to so many. Thanks for the education and words of wisdom ❤❤❤
Nice job!! I don't think i would have in me
Keegan אתה השראה בשבילי❤️
Having a hot bath next to the cold one is good, too. I think it is hot to a cold bath, possibly a warm one in the middle
Very helpful! Will try to do ice bath soon.
Love your shorts.
Thanks Keegan
Keegan has a boyfriend

What benefits do you notice for yourself using your particular regimen?
Are you keeping a journal on this, temps, time, food, and emotions?
Thanks for sharing. 🎉
I need to do these just to cool off here in Texas. It's going to be 103-104 Fahrenheit this week.

Good job man I wouldn't do it but Good job 😊
I would have a medical disclaimer right out of the gate. I WOULD ALSO suggest to consult a doctor first. Especially for age viewers etc.
LOL. You are far more articulate prior to the dip. Brain freeze. I understand. I love cold but even that freezes everything. Stay strong brother!
Brrrr!!! You look cold! Get warm soon!😊
You are a brave man.
Around here, some of the high end luxury homes are offering ice plunges, along with the requisite spas along with pools. Too cold for me
Is there a seat in the cold bath? Or are you squatting in there? Congratulations on pushing yourself and learning new things about your body. 👍❤
Sat on my bum. Either cross legged or with my knees up
@@keeganandjoel I went to their website. The pods certainly look interesting!
I'm sorry but let the beast take me over! BRRRRRRR
Is Joel doing it?
This makes me want to try it.

We need to see Joel in the ice bath.
I understand more americans than british people.. Hi keegan if you see this please keep it simple 🌹 especially for us foreigners ❤
The thumbnail of this video too cute haha
I’m not convinced this is good?
Cute budgie smugglers 😮
No thanks I would have a heart attack.
interesting how 55 degrees temperature is just cool and maybe light jacket wearing, but 55 degrees in water is very very cold?...
Yes!
Just a heads up. Watch your music. Don't want to get demonitized.
Their back garden is tiny.
I've just spotted the language mistake. Good on you Keegan with the ice baths. If worry it would induce an heart attack.
[Keegan, this really scares me because I have experienced irregular heart beats. I would think that cold water could trigger rapid a heart rate. A perfectly good bag of fine ice on this madness. Just freeze some tap water, ffs.]
If someone had heart issues they should definitely check with their doctor
KEEGAN I wish hard I could have a boyfriend like you ! ☹️☹️

I don’t understand how this can be helpful
I’ve literally explained how in the video
@@keeganandjoel I’m dying.
