I think the majority of people who choose to go on the It's A Small World ride is to be able to rest their feet from all the walking and get out of the heat into some cool AC for a bit. The song tends to haunt you for a while, but it's a nice little rest.

Poor Fletcher dealing with the heat and humidity. Him pouting gave me a flashback to Disney World in my childhood. Back in 1979 (I was 11), my family drove from New Hampshire to Florida to go to Disney. I was very blond and have fair skin... no one was using sunscreen back then and I got burnt to a crisp. The rest of the time I had to wear long sleeved shirts or a jacket and long pants and a hat. I was miserable and pouted the rest of the trip. I have a few photos of that time and I think I had the same expression as Fletcher did! It's a lot for those of us that don't like the heat! You guys seem to have had a great trip... thank you for sharing part of it with us!
I was blond as a child and my grandparents had retired to Florida and we went in the summers (only once did we go in the winter). I would burn pretty bad too. When I was a kid they had suntan lotion instead of sunblock. I don’t know if it was actually even did much m. Also there was also suntan oil).
My parents took us to Florida in 1975 I was 14 years old. They drove us there from Pennsylvania. We went for two weeks. Drove through large areas of Florida, right down the East Coast to Miami, also went to the Keys and Key West, then across through the Everglades to Naples, and then over to Disney. I had a different experience I don't remember the heat bothering me at all even though we were fair skin blue eyes. We had so much fun I barely remember the heat. We only went on one beach and that was on Sanibel Island. We loved Florida.

We took the kids on the ride once to experience it and they were all so miserable afterwards, that we told the kids, if they fought, the punishment was to ride that ride.... it only had to be enforced once. BEST MOTIVATION TO BEHAVE!!!!

OMG - Keegan was LMAO when you were on Small World and it stopped and you said "This is actual Hell"... so TRUE have had that ride halt momentarily (or more than momentarily) many times. Seems you all had a blast on your trip. Was reading comments about what to wear in that FL humidity ... I've found the quick dry lightweight material is the way to go (lighter colors) and lightweight hats as well. We were there over Xmas break and it got down to the 30's if you can believe that ... totally opposite weather. Look forward to part 2.

It's definitely not the best time of year for visiting Florida climate wise but good to see you all enjoyed it. I once went in July which was a big error. Winter is amazing and Easter and September were a lot more tolerable. Good to see you found many shopping bargains even now when the UK pound remains low.

You don't wear heavy t-shirts in dark colors with decals, dark colors absorb the Heat and decals are made of a rubber type material and they make you sweat.
