FYI: It is my understanding the the new Jones Road store in Chicago is now open! It is in Bucktown (1655 Damen Ave.). Hopefully I can visit it sometime - i wonder if they allow dogs there. Other Jones Road stores are located in Montclair, NJ.; Greenwich Village; East Hampton and Palm Beach.
@@melp8175 I think they must allow dogs because they show a Jones Road dog bowl outside that store (I want one of those!), and they also show Bobbi with a dog and a JR shopping bag outside the East Hampton and Greenwich Village stores. 🐕🦮🐕🦺🐶. In truth, I don't know that i would really learn anything new from visiting the store, but it might be fun anyway. Thank you for this great in-depth review of these products, it is very much appreciated. I am getting ready to do another order with JRB and wanted to know how the Ruby lip tint would look. I have the Lip Tint in Nude Rose and love it. I also have two of the Lip and Cheek sticks, one in the Rosy Brown and the other in Chocolate Mocha. I bought the Lip and Cheek stick in Royal Plum and had to return it; I didn't realize I was sensitive to Blue Lake 1. The manager at the Montclair NJ store helped me figure it out over the phone. Now I go through the ingredients list and avoid anything that has Blue Lake 1 in it. They are amazing with returns; I have experienced that. I love the Miracle Balm in most shades, but don't plan on rebuying the new Pinched Cheeks (though a gorgeous color) as the "multi-dimensional color" looks too all over shimmery on my skin. Miami Beach is a favorite, as is the shade Tawny. I have lighter than medium skin tone, a bit like yours, and am a light olive. I can wear the Tawny due to the olive tone. My undertone is yellow and I am Caucasian. I did want to point out that Burt's Bees is owned by Clorox and I would no longer touch any of their products. Yes they have a color payoff and are inexpensive but not good for me. I loved a lipstick that was Chanel, and dropped the heavy change needed to procure it. I got it home and by the next morning I had tiny lines like papercuts on my lips. The surgical glue popular in many cosmetics is bad news for me--maybe due to my latex allergy but yikes, who wants that in their lipsticks? Lastly I loved the Pink Rose Lip Tint on you! Thanks again for such a fantastic review, the EWG ingredients of concern, and all the comparisons.
Oh, that is very interesting that you are reactive to Blue #1. EWG does rate that as an 8 and so it must be problematic for some people, though I seem to have been okay with it so far. To my knowledge all the Chanel lipsticks have fragrance in them and so that is why i am avoiding them, but maybe other ingredients in them would be problematic for me as well. I did used to have a really bad latex allergy - it seems to have improved but I still would like to avoid anything related to that. Thanks very much for sharing your experiences!! ❤
I love the Jones Road Miracle Balms and foundation. To me the colours of the eye shadows can sometimes differ in real life ie copper in best eye shadow was lighter than indicated. I also enjoy the lippie sticks -- however my lips are somewhat pigmented so the lighter colours look washed out and quite similar in tone on me. That said -- the feeling of the foundation and miracle balms are just what my aging skin needs to feel smooth and supple. I mix Au Natural with a bit of Bronze for all over colour then apply foundation -- extremely happy with these products.
I do think these products tend to work really well for women who have more mature skin. I just wish they would release an unscented Miracle Balm since I think I would use it really frequently if I had one! ❤
I haven’t tried Jones Road yet, but it’s on my list, especially the brow products! I like what you said about more colorful lipsticks looking better as we age… I’m not sure if it’s about aging for me or just getting used to seeing more color on my face! Now, when I wear a non-tinted lippie, I feel like I look naked!😮😂
I love Jones Road products. I pretty much use them all. I don't particularly care for the face/corrector pencils as I need primer & eye cream & moisturized skin prior to using. I still find them a little to drying. I do like the new lippie tint with or without lining lips. The new containers are very nice. Thanks for the great idea of putting miracle balm in the eye cream container to carry in purse. The lip tint just pinky & bright coral lip & cheek stick was my favorite on you...also lippie stick in deep rose & Me as well.
I think that the main benefit of the Miracle Balm is that it gives a dewy-type glow to the skin, and that the color or the shimmer is more like a bonus. I've been thinking about putting together a vide on other ways to get a similar glow. The main things that come to mind are mostly promoted as highlighters - the Chanel Baume Essentiel (some of those do have blush-y pigment), the Westman Atelier Lit Up sticks, the MOB Beauty Hyaluronic Highlight Balms, and the highlighters from Victoria Beckham and Violette FR. I like the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks blush a lot too, but those do not give nearly as much of a dewy-type look to the skin. ❤

i do feel that these days, just putting on a little obvious lipstick does make me feel more put-together even if I do nothing else. ❤
