I'm glad Vince left to eventually form Erasure. I can't help but think of all the good music that would never have been created with both bands. Now if only Alan had continued with that tradition when he left.

Some Great Reward is still to this day one of my top 3 DM albums. I can't figure out why Dave shuns it like that.

SGR is an extraordinary album in comparison with Playing The Angel or Spirit...

    "..can't remember that album."
That's because you, Martin and Fletch went away on holiday while Alan, Gareth and Daniel did all the work.

It was SO cute when he said, "I can't...I can't even remember that album!" and then giggled like a little kid. SO ADORABLE

Your almost right about, "Without Martin's songs there would be no DM." But little do people know, it was O.M.D that had a huge influnce on Vince Clarke which inspired him to form DM. And without O.M.D Depeche Mode wouldnt be around today.

Oi! Stop the fight sandro and paulbuss! I think Vince leaving DM is a win-win situation for both him and the band. Vince gets to work with Alf Moyet when he formed Yaz(who I personally think had a great voice) and then formed Erasure. Meanwhile, DM somewhat won when Vince left because Martin took over and made great compositions for DM that we continue to enjoy until today. Nuff said!

Dave lost his memory, because during the hole 80's decade they where cracked out. Sometimes artist do there best work on drugs. It helps them to open up the creative side of there brain. The 80's is known to be the biggest drug decade of all time. All the popular artist Duran Duran, Madonna, Cure, so on and so on will tell you they where useing drugs alot of drugs during that time.

Dave created nothing though. He sang the melodies Martin had already written, and the production team (Alan, Daniel Miller and Gareth Jones) did all the rest.
