SMC PENTAX-A 1:2 50mm The lens coating looks purple / pink . The adapter I got was on Amazon . Compared to the kit lens from son it was like night and day . I made a video about the stars about a month ago

what company did your astro modification? once astro modified the Raw images appears very red. what are you adjusting in Ps or lightroom to eliminate the red background?
I have modified my camera in Germany. The red raw files are normal, but you can adjust it in Lightroom afterwards. You have to to adjust the white balance in Lightroom. Normally it’s the white balance 3300 and you will get the normal colors.

Less glass the better .
I stuck a 1972 1:2 50mm on my sony alpha 6100 and got perfect stars . The camera could see more than my eyes

how good will be a sigma 18-50 f2.8 on a Sony A6700 for astro phtography?
