Hey everyone, We made this video for people who may not be part of the Xbox family yet and are looking for a good way to get started. Nobody is saying you have to swap out your current console for the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. We’re just pointing out the amazing things that we all love about Xbox and how this is a great option if you’re more partial to a digital kinda lifestyle. You’re all subscribed because you love Xbox, this is just another way for more people to join the family! :)

here's a cool idea, get a normal one s if you dont already have one, becuase theyre cheaper now on amazon, etc. AND JUST DONT USE THE DRIVE!! There is more down sides to having a disc-driveless console because its not only physical games you cant use, its things like blu-rays and DVDs also.
who watches moviesanyway on the console? I use it to watch youtube and if your tv is a smart tv then you can use it to buy movies too. Is a fast easy way to do this then driving to a store look for your favorite movies. btw this console is not made for you buddy if you already own a normal one S! It's madefor those who be scratching up there disc worry it wont scan yourgameanymore or lagging through thegames only happen when your disc is scratch/fingerprint.

My major issue with buying digital games is that it COMPLETELY destroys the resale and the second hand market meaning you are always having to pay top £££ for even games that are a year or 2 old. Being able to play a game like RdR then sell it on a few weeks later means it will only cost around £15 for a brand new game, where as with digital, you will be stuck with a game you've finished with and can't get any of your money back

Moussa Traoré I don't get why people are griping, really. It's a good deal, especially if you can get it on sale like you did. I've never had an Xbox, so I'm excited to try it out when it arrives. As much as I love my disk-based games, I'm legally blind and it does take me a little time to find the right game to swap out sometimes, so having a game digitally helps. All my PC games are digital, but most of my Switch, PS4, etc games are physical. As I'm getting it as a family console that can be enjoyed from my 7-year-old niece, to my gaming not-so-savvy parents, it's totally fine that it doesn't have a disk drive. Want to watch a 4K Blu-Ray? Get a dedicated player, if you don't have one already! No big deal! I couldn't care less, personally. I guess I'll miss physical games to a point, but not so much I'm not excited about receiveing this. I get that the other Xbox One consoles have the same functionality but, again, as a starter Xbox console for a family of wide ranging gaming ability this will be great!
If you're just a gamer, there is absolutely no reason to own the XBox One S All Digital console. However, if you're a digital only gamer, then there you go. And to the rest of us who are gamers and video game collectors, it's only worth getting just for collection.
That spot where the blue ray disk was, should've another HDD or SSD.....And the pricing is way off, which it should've been released at the same time as the standard Xbox One S. It should've at least have a slot for another HDD or SSD instead.
You're ignoring the fact that the point of this was price. I'll let you think about this for a minute. That thing they took out for price should have been replaced by a component that would add to the price. And yes you can buy a Blu Ray player for >$50 and on some deals the difference is more than $100

Reasons why it "might be good for you" yet the title says "NEED" and "new options to play"? Please elaborate on that, because taking the disc drive out and that is taking a option to play away. Yeah you can say that having digital games are more convenient to play, but you can have the choice to be digital on the normal Xbox

mary mary I’d suggest the xbox one s console with the disc option , you can also watch movies in blu-ray on that so that’s a plus. I have an xbox one s digital and I love it but the xbox one s with the disc option makes more sense .

Two reasons to purchase a new Xbox One S, not the SAD: 1. You can play used games with the CD or borrow them from your friends including XBOX 360 2. You can actually purchase it, yes, cheaper!

Go ahead and buy an All-Digital Xbox One and spend hundreds on pounds on a collection of games, then never be able to play them offline and maybe one day lose access to those games having wasted all your money. tempted to do the same but not sure will i miss 4k?...probably not and tbh I own ps4 which happy with and had the exclusives i want. mainly getting this to play some games i missed out on (quantum break, alan wake...) and this is a cheap way to do it. Pretty much waiting for next gen consoles now..and also like you i see one on sale where i live for about £76...so yeh super bargain price - think am just going to do it!

Worst thing xbox has done the original s is way better than the S.A.D edition cause of the 4k Disc drive and its not even cheaper which makes it even worse wouldnt recommend the S.A.D Edition for anyone thumps down for that xbox #😞
Just got mine yesterday with Amwzon prime and It's perfect for what I wanted. I have the PS4 already but wanted something new so decided to go with it. My boyfriend has the ONE X and it makes the playstation look so outdated lol. Our bedroom TV is 40" 1080P and it looks pretty sharp. Love the gamepass and no complaints at all.
My Original Xbox One A.K.A the console Behemoth sadly reached the end of its life and had a full system failure in the middle of a game with my friend, I had it for a few years now but when it started showing signs like connection problems then consecutive startup errors it finally completely crashed and died, due to the Original Xbox One being no longer manufactured I couldn't get another one and repairing it would be nearly impossible with parts being scarce, I took it apart and layed its circuits to rest, buying the all digital Xbox One S has saved me money and helped my get back to my best friend R.I.P Original Xbox One, you will be missed
@Mr. Obama Jr. The chip on the motherboard responsible for supplying power to the console or something like that became faulty which caused the system to shut down and not power on correctly anymore, start up then immediately shut off

Going all digital will destroy the industry imho. I don’t think Microsoft/Sony and Nintendo realise just how many people rely on trading in old games. I personally keep hold of all my games but I know a hell of a lot of people who just wouldn’t be able to game if they couldn’t trade in the last game they bought. The price of digital is an absolute con aswell. Why are digital games more expensive than physical copies 🤷🏼♂️.
I've noticed allot of what your saying in as far as all the different versions of games like ultimate or gold or platinum n some of these editions are crazy expensive, but I negate that by waiting a while before I purchase games. Prices always come down with time
The only way to justify buying this version of the Xbox One is if you don't already own one and you set it as your Home system. Otherwise, you'll just be buying a $250 paperweight that will be 100% useless when the servers are killed.
Literally no point in buying this over the regular One S you could buy a 1tb version and have all the benefits of this console plus Blu-Ray and games physically as an option for cheaper, When i heard about this console i expected it to be lower in price and be more compact but i guess it uses the same mother board and its cheaper to use the One S plastic mould!!!

I've got a One S digital for about a year now I want to put out there that this isn't a need. If you got discs, obviously don't get this. But if you don't, then I would recommend it. And, it's less than a normal One S. People say that this is just terrible, but keep in mind that they probably play with discs
This video was not a good idea. There is no advantage to having a disc less xbox one s besides it being cheaper which it isn't cause xbox one s is routinely on sale for under $250.
Honestly I just bought an Xbox one S Minecraft bundle for 214.99 brand new. This all digital edition needs a massive price reduction with no disc drive 4K blueray player. I got love for Microsoft but they need to rethink this one....😳
I'll summarize 7: To play Forza for a little bit. 6: To see how bad Crackdown 3 is. 5: To have fun in Halo. 4: To get bored of Halo. 3: Watch Netflix, because you can't use a single disc. 2: Try to return it to the store, because you regret buying it. 1: Selling it to a poor soul on the internet.
While I don’t like the all digital edition (as a fan of collecting), there’s no reason to dislike the video. Xbox On didn’t make the system. They’re just spreading information for the people this system is intended for.

The only reason somebody would buy this is the cheaper price than the normal s, because everything else in this video are features that the s already has. Pointless. Console.
But the normal S with a 1 TB hard drive is already 250 dollars on Amazon and in many stores. Not to mention the many Xbox One S game bundles that go for 270 dollars or under. Hell, you can get a 1 TB hard drive disc based Xbox One S bundled with Battlefield 5 for under 240 dollars!
I own this myself, new gen Xbox one s digital n I love it, never gotta deal with scratched discs or loading trey issue ever again, n every game I've bought just worked good, n ever game I wanted a refund for I've been refunded
This makes sense for people that have a smart tv ,blu ray,chrome cast,ps3or ps4. I have things that play blu ray. This is perfect for my kids who don’t need a blu ray player cause smart tv streams Netflix and Disney plus and whatever else I buy digitally. If this was only media console in home then yes you would want a disc drive.

I only buy digital Xbox games and have for years but i don't see a point in buying a new console when my one still works fine? I do love the idea of it being disk free but i rather spend the £199.99 on games.
I dont understand why people are so sentimental about keeping discs... it's like they're reluctant to change for literally no reason. Its the way the future is inevitably going - you may as well jump on early. For most of the world it's pointless to keep using discs anyway, we literally don't need them anymore. This console is a smart, logical decision to save on unneccessary plastic as well as other things. There are so many perks to going digital... being able to play a game literally an hour or two after you decide you want to get it and is awesome. This console is a step towards the future and a small help towards the environmental crisis, why not embrace it? At the end of the day this is a repeat of the last generation who were reluctant to change when tv switched to digital
I agree, disk drives are actually too slow to play a triple A title so we have to sit and download most of the game anyway. But if you owned movies and games you'd want to play again, would you rather keep the disk drive or buy them again digitally? In my opinion this is just a money grab from Microsoft, people should just wait for the next gen console.

There a big disadvantage with the all digital console 1. If you have a DVD and Blu ray collection you can’t instantly watch it on your Xbox you have to go to the Microsoft store and buy the movie or show yourself with money instead of slapping in the DVD or Blu ray into the Xbox for FREE !!!!!!!!! Same thing with Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible also on the Microsoft store if I want to get a game like RE2 I have to pay £35 but if I go to Ebay for the game I can go there and get the game for £20 on DISC
So what you really want is people to buy games on the xbox store eg 54.99 on release instead of 42 ish disc on amazon ect 🙈 to play inferior quality games at inflated prices. Fed up having to give retailers a cut of the profits. Meanwhile games run much better and are always cheaper on PC lol

You would need to be able to allow the disc version of a game either 360 or one to go digital. Also need the digital version to be the same price as the disk version!!!

There is zero reason for this console. It does less than an Xbox S and costs more. If you don't want to use disc games, buy digital. It's simple.

I bought the Xbox One S simply because it had a Blu Ray player....love it, for all it does.
My Original Xbox One A.K.A the console Behemoth sadly reached the end of its life and had a full system failure in the middle of a game with my friend, I had it for a few years now but when it started showing signs like connection problems then consecutive startup errors it finally completely crashed and died, due to the Original Xbox One being no longer manufactured I couldn't get another one and repairing it would be nearly impossible with parts being scarce, I took it apart and layed its circuits to rest, buying the all digital Xbox One S has saved me money and helped my get back to my best friend
R.I.P Original Xbox One, you will be missed
@Mr. Obama Jr. The chip on the motherboard responsible for supplying power to the console or something like that became faulty which caused the system to shut down and not power on correctly anymore, start up then immediately shut off

Going all digital will destroy the industry imho. I don’t think Microsoft/Sony and Nintendo realise just how many people rely on trading in old games. I personally keep hold of all my games but I know a hell of a lot of people who just wouldn’t be able to game if they couldn’t trade in the last game they bought. The price of digital is an absolute con aswell. Why are digital games more expensive than physical copies 🤷🏼♂️.
I've noticed allot of what your saying in as far as all the different versions of games like ultimate or gold or platinum n some of these editions are crazy expensive, but I negate that by waiting a while before I purchase games. Prices always come down with time

The only way to justify buying this version of the Xbox One is if you don't already own one and you set it as your Home system. Otherwise, you'll just be buying a $250 paperweight that will be 100% useless when the servers are killed.
Literally no point in buying this over the regular One S you could buy a 1tb version and have all the benefits of this console plus Blu-Ray and games physically as an option for cheaper, When i heard about this console i expected it to be lower in price and be more compact but i guess it uses the same mother board and its cheaper to use the One S plastic mould!!!
You can literally buy the regular one s (with horizon 3) for less than 250 bucks or the one x for 100$ more (on amazon)
It's a pretty cool novelty item, but I think it should be at most $200 because the standard S can be bought for the same price as this currently is.

I want to put out there that this isn't a need. If you got discs, obviously don't get this. But if you don't, then I would recommend it. And, it's less than a normal One S. People say that this is just terrible, but keep in mind that they probably play with discs

Honestly I just bought an Xbox one S Minecraft bundle for 214.99 brand new. This all digital edition needs a massive price reduction with no disc drive 4K blueray player. I got love for Microsoft but they need to rethink this one....😳

But the normal S with a 1 TB hard drive is already 250 dollars on Amazon and in many stores. Not to mention the many Xbox One S game bundles that go for 270 dollars or under. Hell, you can get a 1 TB hard drive disc based Xbox One S bundled with Battlefield 5 for under 240 dollars!
I own this myself, new gen Xbox one s digital n I love it, never gotta deal with scratched discs or loading trey issue ever again, n every game I've bought just worked good, n ever game I wanted a refund for I've been refunded
This makes sense for people that have a smart tv ,blu ray,chrome cast,ps3or ps4. I have things that play blu ray. This is perfect for my kids who don’t need a blu ray player cause smart tv streams Netflix and Disney plus and whatever else I buy digitally.
If this was only media console in home then yes you would want a disc drive.

I only buy digital Xbox games and have for years but i don't see a point in buying a new console when my one still works fine? I do love the idea of it being disk free but i rather spend the £199.99 on games.
I dont understand why people are so sentimental about keeping discs... it's like they're reluctant to change for literally no reason. Its the way the future is inevitably going - you may as well jump on early. For most of the world it's pointless to keep using discs anyway, we literally don't need them anymore. This console is a smart, logical decision to save on unneccessary plastic as well as other things. There are so many perks to going digital... being able to play a game literally an hour or two after you decide you want to get it and is awesome. This console is a step towards the future and a small help towards the environmental crisis, why not embrace it?
At the end of the day this is a repeat of the last generation who were reluctant to change when tv switched to digital

I agree, disk drives are actually too slow to play a triple A title so we have to sit and download most of the game anyway. But if you owned movies and games you'd want to play again, would you rather keep the disk drive or buy them again digitally? In my opinion this is just a money grab from Microsoft, people should just wait for the next gen console.

There a big disadvantage with the all digital console
1. If you have a DVD and Blu ray collection you can’t instantly watch it on your Xbox you have to go to the Microsoft store and buy the movie or show yourself with money instead of slapping in the DVD or Blu ray into the Xbox for FREE !!!!!!!!! Same thing with Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible also on the Microsoft store if I want to get a game like RE2 I have to pay £35 but if I go to Ebay for the game I can go there and get the game for £20 on DISC
