As an SR22 owner your numbers are a bit off. The parachute repack with line cutters, rockets, etc is around $25k. A new engine with labor and all parts is around $85k for a NA and $135k for a turbo. TBO is 2200, although some turbos need a top overhaul at 1100 or so. But what’s interesting is that my SR22 is the best thing I’ve ever bought. The boat was the worst (sold it). I use it so much for work. It turns 4 hour in traffic drives into 45 minute flights. Make that into a round trip and you’re saving 6.5 hours of travel time. Priceless.
The cost to own and operate a Cirrus SR-22 are ridiculous high. Aviation in general has become crazy expensive. This guy in the video has to be very wealthy to think it's affordable.
