    0:12 I bought two WideWheel PROs from fluidfreeride.com and would highly recommend them.
    1:14 I can confirm the handling, traction and performance is fantastic.
    2:08 I haven't noticed any wiggle in handlebars even after extensive riding.
    2:27 I haven't noticed any acceleration difference between the two modes except for the top speed.
    2:32 I personally like the throttle's short throw and sensitivity and don't intend to switch to the alternate throttle.
    5:30 It actually performs well in dry packed dirt and gravel surfaces, but it's not suited for uneven and soft terrain.
    6:12 I researched just about every make and model and the WideWheel PRO is the best scooter available in its price range.

    Hi great review video I’m happy with my wide wheel pro. When I got mine I did not have time to practice because I had to go to work so I just turn it on and I took a bike line in queens towards Manhattan. I felt very secure and stable great suspension.
    I like the kick power when you press the accelerator. It’s not an big deal it’s like a thrill ride more fun.
    At first I used in eco mode until I got used to, especially when turning and after a few hours I was ready to go in full speed in power mode wow I felt like flying on the streets.
    It’s a great scooter I commute everyday to work . When folded it’s like 50 pounds so I don’t mind the weight since I don’t carry to it too much.
    A reliable scooter never a problem breaks are secure. I don’t worry about a flat tire because of the solid rubber wheels.
    And for about $1200 on discount it’s the best bad ass futuristic design looking scooter.

    My main critiques for this scooter:
    - The ride comfort sucks, you can feel every crack in the ground.
    - The brakes are too big for the small diameter wheels, leading to brakes hitting the roadside gutter easily when you're trying to go from road to footpath.
    - Bar lock comes loose very quickly during ride.
    - Squeaky brakes.
    - Very not water resistant.
    - Charging port cover difficult to keep plugged.

    I can’t speak personally for the wide wheel but I did buy the horizon by fluid free ride and I can tell you it is an awesome scooter. I was able to go 25 miles in mode two and go about 18 miles per hour. I haven’t tested the range in mode three but I know you can go almost 25 miles per hour in mode three. It’s a very well-built scooter. I would definitely purchase the wide wheel once I’m ready to upgrade but I have my eyes on the Zero 8X. However I can also attest to the great quality customer service that fluid free ride provides. If you don’t want to spend $1600-$2000 on a scooter, which you’ll pay for the Zero 8x or 10x or even the Mantis or Wolf warrior from fluid freeride that cost over 2000 dollars, then you definitely can’t beat the horizon or the wide wheel. You definitely get a lot of performance for the money you spend. In my opinion it’s absolutely worth it to spend a little extra on a quality scooter as opposed to some of these cheaper scooter options. I bought a cheaper scooter and it crapped out on me very quickly. You won’t have that problem with the nicer scooters like the horizon or the wide wheel and if you do they’ll just replace it at no additional cost. They Do stand behind their products.

    • @gustavopaulette3496
      @gustavopaulette3496 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice! How tall are you and how much do you weigh? I’m 6’2” and weigh 185. I’m looking into getting the Fluid Free Ride Horizon myself since they have a $100 discount right now for pre order. I need to get 20 miles comfortably which it seems like if I keep it at 20mph or below I should be able to attain this based on your comment. Did you get the 10.4ah batter or the 13ah batter ? Is it good on dirt trails? Thanks

    • @montelinm
      @montelinm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gustavo Paulette I am 5’9” and I weigh about 160. Your increased weight will make a difference though. You should be able to get 20 miles however you may want to consider the Zero 9 or the Emove Cruiser. They are a little more expensive but they will get you the desired range of 20 miles with no problem. Especially the Emove cruiser. You’ll be more comfortable on the Emove cruiser if you are using it for commuting. It also has an increased range with a much larger battery. I’m not saying the Horizon isn’t awesome. I took it for a 16 mile ride yesterday in mode 3 and still had battery left once I was done. It’s an awesome scooter. However I just use it for joy riding. I’ve been able to get 25 miles in mode 3. Although since you weigh more I’m worried the Horizon may not be quite enough power for what you need. I did get the 13 ah battery but even with that you may eventually find it doesn’t carry you the full distance you need to go. Especially over time as the battery degrades. Now if it’s for joy rides then go for it. You will still enjoy the Horizon. If it’s for commuting then I’m sure it will get you the 20 miles in mode 2. I just don’t know for how long and I would hate to see you buy something that doesn’t end up working out for you. Hopefully you found that helpful. Now if money is an issue and you can’t pay more then yes the Horizon is going to be one of the best options for the price. Also if you want to go on dirt trails those trails need to be smooth. Otherwise you will be shaken up very badly on the Horizon. If the trails are rough then I would suggest something like the Kaabo Mantis Pro or the Zero 10X. You’ll want the better suspension if you’re gonna be traveling down bumpy paths. Those scooters are way more expensive but I would absolutely not recommend the Horizon to be used for going down bumpy off-road trails. Good luck

    • @gustavopaulette3496
      @gustavopaulette3496 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Montelin I really appreciate your detailed reply. Currently I’m looking at the Fluid FreeRide Horizon 13Ah version on discount for $699 or the Emove Touring for $836. Both have 500 watts and 48V 13Ah batteries. Of these two which do you think would be the best? I’m going to place my order either tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest since the coupon is valid only a few more days. I’m glad you’re enjoying the Horizon! It sounds like a great value and Kaabo Mantis would be amazing or even a wide wheel pro but I’m trying to be at or below $800. I have even been considering possibly a folding electric bike such as the Lectric XP. Have you tried it out? So many choices under 1k

    • @montelinm
      @montelinm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gustavo Paulette The Emove Touring Seems like a nice electric scooter but I’ve never owned one so I really can’t say. Also like I said it really depends on the type of terrain you’re going to be riding on. If you’re going down bumpy off-road terrain then maybe you should consider an electric bike instead. Especially if you are commuting. I’ve never owned an electric bicycle but I think that would be more comfortable if you’re commuting on off-road trails. However if you just want one for fun and you can ride down paved roads then get the Horizon. It’s a blast.

      Thanks guys for your discussion. I'm thinking of getting the horizon as well in a couple weeks. I texted fluidreeride wondering about my weight being 200lbs and they said it shouldn't be a problem and still get 23mph. I'd like the mantis of course but dont have the money for it. I do think the horizon will be best overall from what I've read and compared to others in the price range.

    • @SasquatchMelee
      @SasquatchMelee 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How fast are wou willing to go to get that range? If so, the WWPro has 4 steps (not 2 like mentionned in this infomercial). If you press a brake lever and simultaniously press both buttons on the display, you get to the settings. P1 is the one you're looking for. If set on 0, you'll have 20kmh on Eco and 25 on Power. If you set P1 on 1, you'll get 30 on Eco and more than 42 on Power.
      The Max gets this range by doing 20kmh... After 30km on P1=0 and voltage is @46V. Still enough in the cells to do more than 10km... And if you want to compare, I'm a bigger guy and this WWPro is like a Porsche for sub 2K scooters.
      If it's range you're looking for, check InMotion L9. Should be more comfortable than the MAX.

  • @pr0xZen

    Personally I find the key to (long term) rigidity folding joints, is not so much in the hinge itself. Always gonna be a compromise there. But rather, _threaded_ sleeves and frame, that slide over a good bit of both sides of the hingepoint, and screw in place when extended. That way it will only lock for use at one precise straight angle, and stay there. It's a liiitle bit more work in use, having to screw the tubular sleeve in/out when folding/unfolding, and you need to keep the threads free of any hard debree, but in terms of rigidity and long term durability there's no real competition. Because you're not really locking or loading the hingepoint in use this way, but rather joining the two sides of the frame into one piece with no mobile joint. It's more expensive / time consuming to fabricate though - but you can save in some of that on the hinge as it doesn't need to be so sturdy anymore. But it does need to "stay within" the outer dimension of the tubular frame when extended. Ideally, as close to that dimension as possible. A threaded folding arm tube joint is well suited as they're off-the-shelf parts.

    It seems like they (the "official replacement parts" on AliExpress) barely last more than 100km before you need to replace them, implying multiple re-adjustement with an Allen key every 10km.

    i just got the cle version. although every review ive watched on this scooter has been accurate none mention some important things about this scooter. 1: its freaking huge and bulky. its like a tank or the suv of scooters. at 56lbs this beast is not commuter friendly in the sense that its just too dam big and heavy its awful to try and carry this on the train or bus you will piss someone off including yourself. 2: you can tell the people who made this had no clue what they were doing. for every good thing something contradicts it. the wide wheels are pointless and are just terrible they hinder the power of this scooter. the wheels have zero traction i mean zero. anything and everything makes the wheels lose grip and you feel like you one wrong move from falling.
    things like the painted street lines or uneven surfaces make the wheels skip and stutter. it functions in the rain but again slippery. i dont understand why they couldnt give the wheels deeper tread for grip and instead gave it what amounts to extremely worn out tires. its dangerous considering the speed of this thing. 3: this scooter is a rocket it simply wants to take off in a straight line. theres no middle ground its fast or slow period. the speed with those awful tires is an accident waiting to happen. the kickstand is a skinny terrible thing that can barely hold the scooter. the hand grips are terrible they hurt your hands and the handlebars are too skinny for big hands. if you forget how fast this scooter is and press the throttle without a good grip on the handlebars you will fall off real bad. the brakes on the handlebars are too big and far off its awkward and difficult to hold the bar and keep some fingers on the breaks theres basically no bell the one it comes with is pathetic and useless. i swear they made this thing so you can kill yourself. its power and speed is the only good thing. honestly consider far better options for your commute.

    Dont buy this! After long wait to get mine, and after 2 weeks and around 100kms driven, Im very dissapointed. The only positive thing about this scooter is the power and looks. Everything else is just horrible. The stem is squeaking like crazy as well as the chassis, its built pretty cheap. The suspension has very little travel and the low profile tyres - means no comfort when riding and both front and rear rims are bent after only 2 weeks of riding. You feel every little bump and it gets dangerous at higher speeds. Brakes are very weak and hard to set up as the discs are not straigth, also the brake levers are loose and wobbling around. The throttle is unresponsive, you either go full gas or nothing. Cruise control is impossible to activate because of the throttle travel and broken sensitivity. Also the square tires means, its very hard to turn, doesnt want to lean and gets no traction when turning/leaning, as you are riding at the tip of the tire. Range is around 30kms, nothing special. My model is the 2020 CLE (with key) dual motor with the bigger Panasonic battery. Ordered Zero 11x and hopefully I will be able to sell this piece of crap.

      Michael Montelin , I bought my wide wheel a month ago and the caliper lasted a week before going completely out , I’ve had all types of off road vehicles and mountain bikes so I’m very familiar with adjusting brakes to the proper tension, the caliper is junk, I called the recall number and was supposed to get a new caliper sent ... never came , called again , got the run around, now it’s supposed to be coming sometime soon, they should have just send a good caliper with the scooter since it was already in recall, 1000 dollar dust collector =mercane wide wheel from fluid free ride 👎

    • @montelinm
      @montelinm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doggy Doodle I’m sorry for your misfortune. So just so I understand correctly did you buy the pro version or the original? If you bought the pro version then I would definitely have thought the same thing. It shouldn’t be having any issue with the brakes. I bought the horizon from FFR and it’s been great and so is their customer service. I was wanting to upgrade to the pro version of the wide wheel But if you’re saying yours had issues with the brakes then I don’t know if I want to take that risk now

    I am not sure to go for the ninebot max 30g or the widewheel pro 1000 Watt 14,4Ah Panasonic...
