I tried Corruption the other day. Thought it was terrible & was waiting for the run to end for 3 straight acts, then I beat the heart for the first time with Ironclad. Silly game this is

It's the magic of Slay the Spire, you may lose with good decks and win with terrible ones with right conditions.
Spire must've sensed him doubting and arranged the wackiest run out of spite.
The craziest deck I've ever had traded starting relic for boss relic and got plasma. Took reprogram like floor 2 and went to the moon. Was able to use loops for more energy, had a ton of draw, and used hologram to play reprogram about 3 or more times a turn. Ended the heart fight with 5 echo form effects active, 2 loops, and 92 of strength and dex without infinite. Great time

Why play as Ironclad or Silent in separate runs when you could play as Ironclad and Silent in the same run?

Reprogram is a pog card when you get it early and can build around it. Defect doesn't have to go orbs all the time, focusless is just another archetype/way to play them.

I had a run with Tempest, Thunder Strike, and Reprogram. Since str affected T strike many times, it effectively doubled my damage output while the dexterity allowed me to block and generate energy with charge batteries. That’s right, tempest on 0 effect lightning orbs. Beautiful.

Ironically, I just finished a run where i had 5 sweeping beams, 5 charged batteries, and 3 reprograms and everything was upgraded with 5 energy. I felt like a god

If a card has a circular outline it's a power.

@@birthdayzrock1426 I know how the game works, I just hardly ever look at reprogram long enough to read the name, let alone look at the border. Also, yes, the part of the card that says "Power" is a much better indication of if a card is a power or not. From what the card does I assumed it was a power in a similar vein to Fasting, like I said the first time.

I know that negative focus is a big deterrent to going anything orb related. But why not a few coolheaded for draw and barrage to scale off the strength? That just seems like a strong core for a reprogram build. Lots of draw and damage. It's true I'm not the best sts player so maybe I don't see the obvious weakness. To much mana cost to cycle effectively?
I think it's just a weird synergy. Cause to make that really good you have to invest into orb mechanics with both draw and energy, while gaining little. Like more orb slots and wasting the frost orbs. As well as having to actually block to live. I think it could work but it would be pretty bad untill all the pieces are in play if that makes sense.

I think today I got a 350 damage Multi Cast against the Heart with a Ice cream, Turbo, Agregates+ with Hologram, 4 defragments with a Biased Core Surge combo, Skims and Coolheaded for card draw and a ton of lighting and I would have teorically dealt more damage If I had dealt Bullseye to the heart. Funny thing is I had a Lizzard Tail despair just in case I died. The shield and spear Elite enemies died the same way but with Tempest Electrodynamics combo and with only 9 HP lost
