PRIOR NOTICE: I am an amateur videographer and a simple tourist. My channel has no commercial purpose. I travel very often to Indonesia and in particular to the island of Bali.
As I am passionate about both video and Balinese culture (Hindu ceremonies, traditional dances and music), I often film the events and shows that I attend. It is my way of keeping memories of my stays and of making known the rich culture of this island.
"Oleg Tamulilingan". Probably the most beautiful dance in Bali. The dance of the seduction. It is performed every week in Puri Agung Peliatan, in the purest traditional style. This dance is the one that brought great success to the team of Peliatan during its tour in the States in 1952.
The female dancer in this video, the talented and young Citra Aryani, is one of the last students of the famous Gusti Raka, who danced at the age of 13 for the memorable Ted Sullivan television show that made discover dance and balinese music in the States and in the world. Kadek Alo, the male dancer, is one of the best for this performance.
I shooted with 2 cameras. A SONY AX33 (Fixed angle in 4K from the side, the panoramics and zooms have been done when editing the video in HD. The second one is a SONY NX5 in front of the stage. I inserted some images from a third camera placed also in front, with a fixed angle in 4K. Thanks Robert (alias Juru Tandak) for letting me use his camera (a SONY AX55) as the third one, .
