Thank you very very much my wife is so happy she has spend 5 days trying to transfer pic, hours on google search, on the phone 3 hours with DJI customer service nothing, Found your video so WoW so easy to follow 😊 THANK YOU
FANTASTIC: To the point, extremely helpful, Detailed, Lots of educational info. Very well presented and were very well spoken - I have no doubt you covered every aspect of what we need to know. A lot of valuable info made simple to understand. Just got my DJI mini 4 Pro with RC2 Controller. I had no idea how involved the learning curve could get with all the gadgets on the controller and drone. NOW! I realize there is still the capturing of videos and photos and creating presentation packages. Heh Heh! My learning curve is getting longer. I will treasure this video and keep coming back to learn more from you. I thank you, as I am sure many people do. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. As a lecturer at the University for 10-years, you did a great job making a complexed issue look pretty basic and simple. Thanks mate.
This RC2 is doing my head in. I'm using it for tutorials and it's clearly got a lot of bugs. It shouldn't be so hard to get to your recordings. Don't you agree? I was swiping down twice and access the storage locations there, on the left and they've disappeared. So thanks for your tip showing another way to get there.
I do agree. From the corporate eye, I can see why they'd want to limit funtionality. If they opened up the full capabilities of the Android OS on the RC 2, nobody would purchase the RC PRO. Nonetheless, it shouldn't be as difficult to transfer files you own from any device. Glad the content in this video proved useful.
I appreciate that much, and I'm glad you found the format to be pleasing. Definitely not a professor, just the guy who likes sharing information and empowering people to use what they have to the best they can.
Thank you for your excellent video. I am trying to figure out how to get the video and pictures I take to record and be stored on my 512GB SD Card. I followed instructions and changed the storage from internal shared storage to the SD card, however nothing seems to record or be stored on the SD card of the RC2. If you have any idea I would love to hear it. Thanks
Hi, as I was struggeling with filtransfer I was in touch with DJI. Finaly I could get it done, but BT transfer was impossible with any device, have you had success ?
@taylorhansen8699 A long while ago, I remember there being something called Android file transfer that was specifically for communication between Android and Mac OS. It should come up if you perform a Google search. Alternatively, on DJI's website, there is an app in the download center called "DJI Assistant 2" This should also allow both devices to communicate.
Aside from the input connection, it's likely not going to work since HDD,s typically draw more power. I don't have one to test, so you'll have to try and see if it will work.
On the RC2 (never had the RC) on the RC2 I can only see my M4 videos from "Album" on the initial screen with the bridge, I can see and play all of them. I can successfully connect the RC2 to laptop and get "Screenshots & Screen Recording with Audio" but I cannot find or see or access my movies or drone footage at all after hours of trying. QUESTION - Can you help me get them ?
If I understand correctly, the RC2 would be your first all-inclusive controller, right? If so have you downloaded the videos from your drone to the controller?
Yes I can download anything I need directly from the drone via a cable or removing the sd card without any problems BUT "they" say if the drone were to fly off that is why you have the smaller (file size) on the controller. I don't know how to find and get them off the controller.@@WIHRC
I don't understand what you mean downloading videos from the drone to the controller - The videos I shot with the drone have a automated backup on the controller by default. (a much smaller version) I can watch those videos directly on the controller without the drone even being on. I'm just trying to locate and move those videos from the controller to my computer or whatever. It should not be that complicated. I can and have taken screen shots and screen recordings with the controller and can find the files and move them to the computer but I cannot even find the video files or work with them but I can still watch them on the controller. They have to be on the controller somewhere, uh ?@@WIHRC
Hi Thanks for this It will not transfer to my apple 16.6 version via Bluetooth , it connects but then fails to transfer Also to answer your question with the QR code for rc1 verses the rc2 which you stated has no QR code , the rc2 method they give you when it’s says down load the dji app it only allows to transfer from your drone via the quick transfer way which sucks because I need a quick way to transfer from the rc2 to iPhone quickly but now I can only use the hub like you said or my straight from the drone
I Made some waypoints whilst flying my drone, but I am not seeing a folder in > Android > data > djigo5 > files. I think it's supposed to be in there, but it's not. Anyone else seeing this?
@allstreamedupvi hmm that's weird, but it makes sense since DJI locked the version of Android they use heavily. I wonder if that's true even if turning on the hidden files attribute.
I can connect a usb flash drive directly to RC2 controller for file transfer (firmware 02.00.000). I can also connect my flash drive to the phone using exFAT/NTFS software and mount the flash drive follow by using Total Commander app to do file transfer. I just can't figure out why the RC2 controller cannot connect directly to my android phone.
Tried connecting the driver to my RC 2 but nothing happens. It's on the exact firmware you mentioned. As far as connecting to your phone, this isn't something that seems to work rift now and may not unless DJI decides to make it.
@@WIHRC Sorry I assume you know to use the OTG. I use it extensively to connect my Samsung T7s to my phone/tablet to do file transfer when I am travelling. The only drawback with this method is it takes at least 3x time than using a pc/laptop. Do be careful when using OTG with a flash drive, the drive will get hot fast so you need to dismount is when its done.

Ya ever kill your controller battery trying to figure this out? I did!
lots of good info. I'm going to have to revisit this video a few times to implement it all.
I'm glad that the information was useful to you. I made this video to be a reference point for everyone so feel free to revisit as much as needed.

Glad the tutorial was helpful

Outstanding instructional video. I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out on my own. Well done, thank you!
Glad you found all of the info helpful
A million thanks to u. I am new to Dji world, and I would newer taped the Audio button. Regards from Allan, Denmark 😊
I'm glad that the video was able to help you out.
Worked like a charm! Thanks because I didn't want to download the dji app
Man, thank you so much! My USB port stopped working and I had files stuck on the controller I thought I’d never get back!!
Glad thst this was able to help you out. Hopefully, DJI can repair that port.
Thank you very much for this excellent video. I learned a lot and many questions I had about the RC2 were answered. 🙂
Glad the information in this video was helpful to you.
Thank you sir. I knew about the file manager. I had no idea about basic editing. N8ce

Glad you found it helpful. By any chance. Have you removed and scanned the SD card for bad sectors using a PC? Also, what file system is it using?
How do you transfer files from the internal storage to the flash drive .? Thanks

Just plugged my T7 Shield into my RC-2 and it was recognized on my remote.
Hi, as I was struggeling with filtransfer I was in touch with DJI. Finaly I could get it done, but BT transfer was impossible with any device, have you had success ?
I have tried it once, but it's painfully slow. What kind of device are you using?
@@WIHRC I was trying via an IPhone 14 and a IPad, no Chance at all via BT.
I have a Mac and it's not showing up when I plug it in the USB. You said something about using an android extension?
Which controller is this for?
