Hi Phil, I totally agree with you about the brickwork between the tram tracks, which I also like. It actually gives a bit of an old worldly atmosphere, with a type of cobblestone look. Some of the area looks a bit like along Burwood Highway here in Melbourne. Also, the Benaud Oval stop looks somewhat similar to a tram stop that we have near Hawthorn. Actually, you are giving me a bit of inspiration to to some walking and talking videos near tram tracks here. I remember having work shoes fall to bits on one occasion. Fortunately, I was on the way home at the time. I had new shoes, but I wanted to get my money's worth out of the old ones. By the time I reach the house, most of my old shoes had disintegrated. Love the great wide streets there. Also, well done catching an excellent view of 2170 passing. Anyway, take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.
perfect timing phil with confirmation today L4 and testing ramping up to operating hours 5am-1am. so there will be plenty of trams out and about over the next month or two before opening
I really dig how they allowed a green electrical connection box to be in the middle of the footpath, at 5.00. Impaired pedestrians must love that! What speed do the trams travel at in the open sections?
It's going to be a huge boom for Parra
Good stuff Phil. My morning commute sometimes goes past the light rail testing and it's been exciting watching the project progress
Good video. Interesting to see that all the landscaping is already matured and well established given how long it has taken for this line to open!
Good video phil at light rail Parramatta
Great!
Good stuff. Closer and closer to opening!
Next month :)

This was very relaxing to watch. Let's hope that the light rail is a tad more popular in this area than the Carlingford rail line was.

I reckon we start calling the L4 the eel4! 😁
🤣🤣🤣 good one!
The vehicles are known by their number on the lower right corner of the windscreen. There are 13 for the L4 line, numbered LRV 1 to LRV 13.
Hi Phil. Do you have inside info that the "g" Ngara is about to be removed?😂
It's not silent, just like in Engadine.
Yay!!
Of note at Ngara is the end of the overhead catenary section. Drivers will lower the pantograph at this stop for travel to Westmead on battery power.
named L4 Parramatta LR
8:05 there's the black and yellow speed sign i mentioned last video. i wonder why they chose this colour and not blue and white here?
Work boots take a while to wear in. Then it is time to replace them. 😢
