Wow, I left Darwin in 1997, Casuarina always had fond memories for me hanging out with mates or shopping trips with my mum. It's a shame that two of my favourite eating establishments are no longer there. Where Snoodle bar is now there used to be a Italian pasta place, they made the best tortellini I've ever had in my life, It's a shame I'll never get to experience it again. Also where the body shop is now on the corner used to be a small Asian take away that had the worlds biggest and best tasting steamed dim sims. I remember when McDonalds open their first store in Darwin, the first day the line went all the way outside to the bus depot. Thanks for the walk down memory lane (pun).
been here 10 yeara and yeah a lot of storea have come and gone... the ramen place uaed to be tex mex take away that was there after the oce cream shop left... the kebab place ia gone as well...
Oh boy places change over the years. I started work after leaving high-school in 1981 at Coles in Casuarina Shopping Centre. You tube makes it easy to go back to revisit old haunts.
Back in the 90s after school many students from many different schools including myself would come here and chill out. It was a bustling hub to cool off.
Amazing to see some of the old shops still there, Kmart has stood the test of time, I remember that being there in the same spot in the early 80's and its still there :)
Blimey I’m thinking if you can’t find what you want in there then you probably don’t need it to bad lol it huge ! The Athletes foot shoe store made me chuckle. Hopefully be visiting Darwin when the borders open it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go so fingers crossed 🤞
Lots of Indian restaurants in town ( lol didn't say city) yogis in Stuart prk.there is a small indian shop at Casuarina shopping centre which went up a few weeks ago.
