I'm happy rhat there are still those who do like Chespin. I spent a little bit of time trying to soft reset pokemon x which was not that long really, but then came earlier in June this year. I came back to the game to give it another go because I wanted to make an animated series when I graduate college and go to an animation school where I go through the different regions with my pokemon. I did about 10 soft resets that day and on my last one, I finally got my Autumn Red male Chespin whom I nicknamed Chespy. I will never delete this save file EVER.

Finally, A positive opinion about Prinplup! I like Grotle and Monferno too but Prinplup's dope!
I really like torterra and actually did really well with it. It does not suck when it has earthquake. Also the only one aside of swampert to deliver powerful EQs. It's nice to have the powerful ground type and your starter in the same slot. The fact that it's slow doesn't bother me at all either.
Croconaw is amazing. So underrated. My all time favourite middle evolution 💙

from what i am seeing Grookey took too many people's hearts when they first saw him but if his evolution is turned out to be another infernape or breloom that destroys everything in sight then i might go in with grookey when pokemon sword and shield come out

Someone just discovered Pokemon two days ago
I feel like Chikorita should have beaten Cyndaquil, Mudkip should have beaten Torchic, Oshawott should have beaten Snivy, and Froakie should have beaten Chespin! And I don’t see how Swampert, Mega-Swampert, Torterra, Pignite, Emboar, Samurott, the Fennekin line, Brionne, Primarina, and Incineroar could be bad in any way!
Chespin is the only good kalos starters, so your opinion is wrong.

I was on board and understood where you were coming from for the first half then you got to Gen 4 than it all went downhill. You're probably the first person I've seen who doesn't love any of the Gen 7 starters, you see people fawning over Rowlet, constantly saying "Awwww." at Popplio, or joining up with Litten's edge.

Swap Bulbasaur for Squitle and swap Froakie for Chespin sand then our lists are like the same - except for gen 2. You’re wrong on gen 2.
gen 1 in reverse, gen 2 cyndaquil is the best, gen 3 agreed, gen 4 agreed, gen 5 agreed, gen 6 in reverse, gen 7 agreed, gen 8 in reverse (though its hard to say at this point.. i dont actually like any of them, much like with gen 7, i used to think litten was the best of them but now its probably my least favorite of them.. primarina is in some way quite beautiful and ducidueye is super cool)

Since I started with Platinum, Chimchar has been my favourite starter. Thus, Infernape became my favourite Pokemon. I usually pick the fire starters except Torchic, Tepig and Fennekin. Nothing wrong with Fennekin or maybe Torchic, but I find Froakie and Treecko cooler. Tepig is shit and I prefer Snivy.

Not gonna lie, Grookey hasn't grown on me yet and is probably my least favorite starter right next to Bulbasaur. Literally when the starters were revealed i saw Grookey and said out loud "I know which one I'm not picking. You!" Other than that i love almost all the starters, and Scorbunny is now probably my favorite starter of all time, but things can change with evolutions. Who knows i might like Grookey's final evolution the best, we'll just have to wait to see.
I wish they didnt do sammurott so dirty i mean its an otter, an unicorn and a samurai, its a pokemon that uses swords.

Most of my favorites are in 3rd. 😂😂 Meganium is my favorite Pokémon of all time so chikorita is my favorite in johto, I like treecko, tepig, and I’m team popplio for Gen 7.

Sobble is just the most adorable thing and he is shy, i can identify with that, groovey amd scorbunny are both lovable but in the end scorbunny has a little bit more personality to me.

I have a favourite in each Gen other then 2nd and 3rd. For 3rd Gen I love them all and for 2nd Gen I hate them all.

The only one I gotta disagree with is gen 2, because they should all be number 1. In seriousness, if you put torchic as number 3, and chikorita as number one (with the other two starters gaining/losing a spot) you'd have basically my opinion

I thought I would share mine in the comments. Most of my #1 picks are the starters I choose for each region. Three exceptions. I pick Cyndaquil, Chimchar and Rowlet as starters for their respective region. Also, I dislike all middle evolutions and final evolutions for generations 5 + 6
Note #1 is my fave and #3 is my least fave. I always do them in countdown style (so my fave last). Also, unless stated, I heavily dislike the my #3 pick.
Kanto:
#3: Squirtle (dislike entire line)
#2: Charmander (not crazy)
#1: Bulbasaur
Johto:
#3: Totodile
#2: Cyndaquil (love)
#1: Chikorita (love)
Hoenn:
#3: Torchic (really dislike entire line)
#2: Treeko (meh)
#1: Mudkip
Sinnoh:
Please note I love all three. I also love all three final evolutions.
