Thank you on behalf of all the firefighters for giving up your old rental house for live burn training. I was a firefighter for 35 years and there is nothing like a live burn to teach the younger and less experienced members of the department how to deal with a structure fire. Kudos to you guys!!!
firefighters are the real heros for me in modern times. They go into the fire and work there way around it to safe others. We have to give them a lot of respect.
Awesome! I agree with Nick. Burn-to-Learns are the best teaching aid for firefighters. Your donation will help the community! Hope it works out! (11 years as a FF here).
Your channel is so magical! I absolutely love the music at the beginning! It’s like the first fairy tail I’ve seen in real life! You guys are my inspiration, truly. Thank you so much for sharing .
Your kids have the best life and Ellie is going to be a fearless young woman when she grows up.Keep up the great videos and thank you from lockdown UK.
It’s so precious how the boys are with their little sister ❤️! I tell my kids to just tuck and roll because when they try to brace and catch themselves that’s when they break an arm.. That looked like so much fun.
OMG you two are so damn funny........ Your face when you said Josh usually doesn’t take the time to warm things up....... Or If your a ‘hover parent’........ I simply love how real, playful, and ‘healthy’ your relationship appears to be!
My sister's a volunteer firefighter in rural Georgia. She has inspiring/funny stories about controlled burns. What a civic-minded and frugal way to get rid of that old derelict.
I wish I had a mom and dad like Josh and Erin. Erin: Sweet, sassy, independent and loving. Josh: Incredibly hard working, rugged, supportive and so smart. Love you guys!
One of my favorite quotes from Erin, "for all you hover parents, you won't like this and I don't want to hear about it in the comments." You go girl! We have three boys, and my husband pulls them behind the 4 wheeler in the field when we get a good snow in West Central MN. For our older boys it has been one of their favorite memories and stories. For our 13 year old, he always asks to do it still. You are always so fun to watch, and remind us of ourselves in how you interact with each other and handle the challenges of a DIY home build. Every Sunday morning we watch your videos, and you always make us laugh. And from a fire wife of 19 years to a local volunteer FF and 1st Responder, who is also the Training Officer as some of the previous commenters have said, your donation of the Rental House for a live burn training is critical, especially for rural volunteer departments who may see a higher turn over rate, and need anything that is brought to them for the training of new members. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I was in the fire department In a rural area. We would have house burns and a wonderful way a safety training. It’s a huge help in rural departments since it venally expensive to do controlled burns at fire academies, that’s if you can get time. Besides controlled burns such as your house are real life scenarios. I know it’s a total pain in the butt to prepared or a burn but it’s totally worth it. If you ask they may even let you hold the end of the pipe!
Yes controlled burns are done a couple times a yr here where I live in NC my son is a captain at one dept and works part time at another dept and my son in law in associate chief at the same dept my son is captain and also works hos 24 hr job at another dept .so we get to see lots of controlled burns in my family and it's great training for them and of course all the rookies that really learn how it truly goes down in a house or structure fire. We as parents and grand parents see just how dangerous it is for them when there called out on structure fires for real .very scary. My son was at an old mobile home fire and had to go in with his partner and my son stepped past a wall and strait through the floor and caught his arm on a short wall and dislocated his shoulder joint and tore his rotator cuff and was off work for 8 months in 2020 .luckily therapy twice a week solved it with no surgery. Thankful for that and hes back at it at both depts now and doing great but I worry about him and my son in law all the time . Couldn't be prouder of both of them.
I luv Chuck and the black puppy snuggled together. You are the busiest people I’ve seen(in a good way) you two never stop. Thanks for doing all the videos, I luv to watch them. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Everytime I watch your outdoor snow and ice videos at night I blast my air conditioning till I'm freezing and go to bed pretending it's a blizzard outside and I'm nice and snuggly warm in my little cabin out in the woods so I sleep good at night. You have to be creative in Florida. Seeing little Elle playing in the snow made me smile and reminded me there are still a few people on Earth who are living a happy life. What a precious little angel and apparently chocolate icing is her superhero secret weapon. Happy birthdays all over the house. You all are very blessed. Have a wonderful weekend.
Chains for the truck are a must in WV. I grew up there in the 70’s the winters were a lot worse then, than in the past ten years or so. Not sure if you meant to say “truck”, instead of “tractor,” when talking about chains, but it could use them too. And a grader blade to remove snow from the driveway.
Josh: It's cold and needs to warm up. Erin: Josh doesn't usually take the time to warm anything up. LOL. Josh Erin just through you under the bus on TH-cam. LOL. Love to watch you and the kids having so much fun in the snow. Brings back memories of my childhood in northern Maine. Love your family and your videos.
Your children are so lucky. I felt sorry for those two little pups, watching them try and navigate the snow with those little short legs. They are darling. Chuck napping with them made me smile. The snow was beautiful, I live in Phoenix so I really enjoy seeing it. Watching the relationship between you two, so fun, loving and a wee bit naughty.
So glad you keep the reigns loose on the kids. We're country people too, and our kids were out doing something all the time. No bad injuries, but that's expected. Kids gotta live. Love your family. ❤❤❤
You guys never fail to bring a smile to my face! The world needs more peeps like you! I live in WV, and I have an electrician husband....a hard worker, too. He's okay, but he's no Josh! :-)
Love your sense of humour especially you slightly wicked innuendo don't change even the animals are cute even the bull take care from Liverpool England
Absolutely love how much your boys actually enjoy their little sister 💖💖💖 and how much not only she enjoysthem but just how fearless she is. This is a tribute to your parenting and your boys. You all have encouraged her to go for it, but make very sure she is safe as she does so 👌❤️👌❤️👌❤️👌
The large oil drums can be turned into large BBQ ovens or you can convert them into fuel tanks for your equipment so you don't have to travel into town to get fuel that often
What makes these video's so great is you all know how to have fun even when motors do not start, snows way too much, the truck gets stuck, and your day does not turn out anything like you planned. Keep smiling everyone!!! It was still a great day with a lot of laughs and yummy chocolate cake!!!
You guys have so much fun together...it doesn't matter what you all are doing, there's always lots of laughs and giggles among you all. I'm very envious.
This and their main channel needs to be "required watch" for every elected representative full stop. Everything about this family is a treasure and I thank you for sharing.
NO! This family is doing everything they can to stay out of debt. Politicians don't like it when you are self sufficient and out of debt, so they will find a way to make it harder to go off grid and interfere with people being self sufficient.
My first time watching your videos. This is a family that truly loves, their family. I have never smiled through a entire video................... until this one. #Love
I think it's your most beautiful video. One feels your love for you, that you love your children very much, have a heart for your animals and still, everything gets regulated. Respect and warm greetings from Frankfurt.
Greetings from West Michigan. We got 11 inches of snow last night and it is still snowing at 11:13pm today (Friday) , I love watching you two build your dream. I hope you have a great weekend.
When you bought the Land for the house did you buy it with the hill for the View? or did you see into the future and say this is Ideal for Sledding down,!!! Ellie soo Fearless,!! Chocolate cake!!!!!, nice to give Hayde some camera time!, what a life the kids have, Use the tractor to put stones on the driveway to retrieve truck, if its out of site may get stolen, Can you let me know if you like the parcels I sent for You & Josh please!!. Thanks for the video from UK 10 past 5 in the evening x x (Happy Belated birthday Erin.)
Turning lemons into lemonade. Can't pour concrete, so set the generator in place and make some progress on the rental house. Plus lots of fun with the family. Love your snow day activities outside and inside. We are having snow regularly here and now deep cold. I am doing lots of cooking, chilli, soup, and dirty rice all help to keep the cold at Bay. Stay safe, warm and well.
see now that's what life's all about ..families making memories for life. these are the times your kids will remember for ever..playing in the snow, making cakes , rides on a blown up broken dingy. this is heartwarming to watch.. the smiles are everywhere
If you sprinkle wood ash in the tire tracks it helps a lot with traction, plus the black attracts the heat from the sun and it melts faster. On the downside if you get it too close to the house you can track black stuff in the house. Works great on hills tat get sun
Your kids are getting such a wonderful childhood. Lots of fun and parents that actually spend time with them. There’s nothing better than involved parents! I grew up in the 50’s & 60’s and parenting back then was dad worked, mom raised the kids. In my opinion, you two are WONDERFUL parents. My compliments!👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for sharing your family adventure. Your videos are simply heartwarming and highly appreciated in today’s times. As to the people who are somehow inclined to offer a thumbs down; they must live an utterly miserable life.
Hey is this a coincidence or you guys planned it with Trent and Allie to give a similar title to the video. By the way, loved the video as always. Loved Josh's celebration after successfully clasping the file folder. Love health and happiness from India.
Your video's bring smiles to my face. I don't get to see much of my grandchildren so I enjoy seeing your kids. They are such cuties! You have a wonderful family! When you said Josh usually doesn’t take the time to warm things up, the look on Josh's face said, "NO COMMENT !!" lol ha Love your sense of humor!
Guys, I'm from the South Urals, Russia, I never tire of wondering what a wonderful family you are. Unfortunately, I do not speak English, but when you watch you, you understand everything without words. I watched all your videos, just great !!!, what positive energy comes from your family, you are just super !!!!!
Thank you on behalf of all the firefighters for giving up your old rental house for live burn training. I was a firefighter for 35 years and there is nothing like a live burn to teach the younger and less experienced members of the department how to deal with a structure fire. Kudos to you guys!!!
Burn it down!!! Burn it down!!! Burn it down!!!.............
@Nick Sleptzoff thank you for all of the years of service. Fire fighters are AMAZING caring people.
firefighters are the real heros for me in modern times. They go into the fire and work there way around it to safe others. We have to give them a lot of respect.

The thing I respect most about Josh is he's always quick to laugh..that means the world to a child.
As a never hover parent I love this. And your children like mine are independent, resourceful and pretty fearless. AND they are close to 40!
Your kids have the best life and Ellie is going to be a fearless young woman when she grows up.Keep up the great videos and thank you from lockdown UK.

That shot of Chucky and puppy sleeping is about 1000 on the cute meter!
I totally agree. I said "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh' how cute. Chucky loves his new brother and sister.
My sister's a volunteer firefighter in rural Georgia. She has inspiring/funny stories about controlled burns. What a civic-minded and frugal way to get rid of that old derelict.
Good morning and Happy Friday to everybody !
Take your bucket and fill the back of the truck up with snow. Good video, enjoyed the kids tubing and the pups hopping through the snow. :-)
I wish I had a mom and dad like Josh and Erin.
Erin: Sweet, sassy, independent and loving.
Josh: Incredibly hard working, rugged, supportive and so smart.

I’d like to see more of the boys bonding with Dad - Great Family

Your love and tenderness for those new mama sheep and baby ewes warmed my heart. Great job!!!
Brought back memories of sledding with my cousins -- using an old car hood and tractor.
I luv Chuck and the black puppy snuggled together. You are the busiest people I’ve seen(in a good way) you two never stop. Thanks for doing all the videos, I luv to watch them. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You were right! That snow tube changes EVERYTHING!
Been a volunteer since 1982. Only ever got 2 house to burn live for training. Awesome for you guys
Does anybody else start smiling the minute the video starts and then at the end your face is hurting God I love this family
I start smiling the instant I scroll down the list of videos on TH-cam and I see another new video from WWOG.
Despite the constant need to work, your homestead is an absolute dreamland of a playground upon which to raise children. What a blast!
You guys never fail to bring a smile to my face! The world needs more peeps like you! I live in WV, and I have an electrician husband....a hard worker, too. He's okay, but he's no Josh! :-)
You guys have entirely too much fun for one family. Keep up the good work.
Cracking video guys. Nearly makes me want to be a child again. What a smashing Mum
& Dad! 🥰
You guys are the best parents in the world. I stride to be like you.
So, Erin and Ellie share the same birthday. I knew that trampoline was for Erin.
GLAD to know!!
I love the fact that you don't forget to make time for fun!
Love your sense of humour especially you slightly wicked innuendo don't change even the animals are cute even the bull take care from Liverpool England
Love this. Children raised on farms are happy and well adjusted typically. They aren't afraid of their own shadows.
I was having a bad day, then I watched this video, now I'm not having a bad day.
Same here. Same.
My day is still bad.

Little tip for snow tubing, tie a big stick to the rope and just hold on, when things go sideways you just let go instead of falling off the tube 😉
My grandma used to drag our sled behind her car in the road before the plows were out. So fun.

"Josh doesn't take time to warm things up " then that look.......priceless
And his sheepish grin back.
Lmao
“So’s that tree, apparently.” The fact that Erin is so quick with a witty retort, makes me wonder if she grew up with a gang of brothers.
The side glance... so good 😂
I think it's your most beautiful video. One feels your love for you, that you love your children very much, have a heart for your animals and still, everything gets regulated.

Take if from a Canadian. Have the kids and yourselves wear sunglasses in the bright snow.

Having the house burned down would also make a great addition to an already great set of videos.
What a wonderful day you all had . 🙏Bless this family.❤️
Things you will never hear in the big cities,
“Watch out turkeys! Run!!
I used to say that to my kids when I was cutting the grass.
I don't know. I live in West Palm Beach 5 minutes from the PBI Airport and I have turkeys, chickens, roosters and ducks everywhere around me.
You 2 are great parents. You have so much fun. Love to watch
Having the fire department come out to do some training and burning down that house for you would be awesome. It would make for a great video.
The best family channel on TH-cam, hands down.👏👍
Need some tire chains and check the battery and starter connections on the side by side

I'd cut out those doors and window to use on the homestead for out buildings at least.
If you sprinkle wood ash in the tire tracks it helps a lot with traction, plus the black attracts the heat from the sun and it melts faster. On the downside if you get it too close to the house you can track black stuff in the house. Works great on hills tat get sun
"Defeated by the driveway." We only had 10 acres, but I know exactly what that feels like.
Snow day yay! Solar nay! You guys are fantastic parents, love all the way. Thanks for sharing, stay safe.
As an adult raised by non-hover parents, I can tell you it leads to a wonderful childhood of adventures and fun.
When i was a young bloke the Waltons was one of my favourite programmes, it's any wonder i admire and en joy you all so much. Good night all.
I have a premonition there’s a pony somewhere in that little girl’s future.
Naw.... a saddle will fit on Bruce perfectly.
definitely a horse.....LOL!!!!! She's got the space for it ....🦄. hahaha!!
So cool sharing a birthday with one of your kids. Love watching them play in the snow, no better medicine for kid energy.
‘Arms Family Homestead’ did a vid last week riding trails in a 4 seater sideXside. Time for an upgrade?
Happy Birthday little girls!
Arms house is finished, they have a little extra to play with....
You work together and play together. What an awesome family. Love y’all

lucky kids to have such amazing parents

Our old family farm house in NH was controlled burned down by the fire department for training purposes.
