The most unrealistic part of this movie about a flying invincible space alien is the huge lakeside mansion, with a private plane, right outside Metropolis, owned by two news reporters.

This movie didn’t get the love it deserved. As a big fan of Cavill’s Superman I can honestly say this is still one of my favorite Superman movies of all time.
I love that in this movie, Superman actually saves and protects the citizens of Metropolis, and not just people he knows. He showed grace, humility, restraint and determination. I still think he looked too young, and Kate Bosworth was not great. But damn, it had some great Superman moments.
I know this feelings what superman is going through . not to be accepted because you are different . it's hard to find a girl to love you because you are nice person and different . it seems girls of today they don't like nice people , they think is very boring . superman suffer from that a lot .
I know this movie was a sequel for Christopher Reeve's Superman and they truely captured his essence whether it's Brandon's acting, the similarity in suits, music, the calm setting and most importantly Superman's portrayal as a ray of sunlight who believes in his morals no matter what and is always there to save the day❤
A lot of people will say this feels like a superman movie whilst trashing the newer version of superman, put it this way this movie already had Reeves version behind it so it made sense why it was the way it was it didn't need to start up a story or new chapter of him being superman it just was that whilst keeping the Reeves touch in the movie. On top of this man of steel a lot of people hating on it because it's different, man of steel is a more realistic take on the character and shows us what would happen if in fact an alien did come to earth do. That is why Iove man of steel and love this movie too both are great in their own ways. Man of steel was trying to retell the story of superman whilst returns already had the story of superman behind it with already 2 movies behind it as superman 3 and 4 just got deleted from existence as they were poor movies.
I don't understand why this movie didn't get the best ratings. This has more depth, heart and meaning than the others. Brandon Routh did a phenomenal job!
This movie and this scene made me realize how lonely Superman really is. To be a savior to a world that will never fully accept him or understand him. Like joker said, soon as the chips are down they will cast you out
I love this scene, it's nothing much and at the same time it's a lot, it's a composition that brings it very close to reality, I think whenever Superman would fly around the city, people would always go to and look. Too bad the last Superman movies are all action, action and more action.
it was powerful. kal-el has always struggled with it. even tho you've been raised as ahuman being...you're not one of them. and it shouldn't matter. he's loved regardless of whether hes from somewhere else or not, whether he's different or not but it still shows that people from somewhere else or people who are different, still feel like something is missing.
Dont forget that it's a sequel to Chris Reeves first 2 movies. So Jonathan is dead and his other father sacrificed his last energy to give his powers back.
I know I am in the minority, but I really like this movie. I liked how they paid homage to the Christopher Reeve movies and made it a continuation of those rather than do a whole reboot. I also loved the Marlon Brando lines that were in it and how Kal-el repeats some of the lines to his son. There were some things that weren't done well in the movie, but I felt overall that they did a good job with it.
This scene actually made this movie endeared to critics. Several pointed out that his lone flight in silent darkness over the city summed up the essence of his never ending watch and it was a scene done with utmost subtlety both defining the character and making for a silently striking realistic visual.
Such a nice part of the movie. He stalks lois. Checks up on her. Then he flys off when she says she never loved him. You could see the hurt in his eyes. He has feelings too. He's resting above earth and then shoots off at blazing speed. Beautifully made movie. Loved every part of it. Man of steel was crap!
A lot of people on the CW aren’t very good actors, i mean it probably has to do with the dialogue they’re given all the time but I don’t doubt Brandon Routh will be able to play Ray Palmer and Superman at the same time
Looks like your wish will come true. Brandon Routh is reprising his role as Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths as the Kingdom Come version of Superman.
Even though you’ve been raised as a human being, you are not one of them. They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you… my only son.
The way they made him fly in this movie was so cool. I just watch video clips of him flying when I need to relax. If I could have one super power it would be flight.
He could replace Cavil. I actually prefer Routh over Cavil in many ways. Cavil has a problem with line delivery in an Americanized accent, it torches his throat and it makes him harder to invoke emotion. Brandon Routh played a superior Superman and Clark Kent. He's also huge. He's 6"4 and 230. Same height and size as Christopher Reeves
There's nothing wrong with Cavil's accent. Both performances were good. Routh did more of a straight Reeve impersonation which was nice after so long without a Superman film but Cavil has made the role his own and is doing a great job.
Man if i was superman i would try my best to do good helping finish builds talking to people who need help with daily things helping nasa with space research and if some alien came to attack me i would quickly drag him away from any major building to avoid innocent and not needed deaths

a great film , i love how they portray him flying silently just cape flapping , love cavil superman but hate the noise when he flies !!!
" Superman is a solitary man with superhuman powers. "
Christopher Reeve, 1980.
BR did a great job as Superman !!
"I can hear everything"....even while I'm asleep in space. I'm Superman.
If senses gets in the way how to audiovisually analyze the sound gets me something to where I can learn about lois's own taughts.
Richard Senson u do realize there is vaccum in space so sound cant travel then how the fuck he hears
@@bilaliqbalbaig3509 he's Superman
Biggie Cheese thats stupid so u r saying science doesnt apply to superman sound literally cant travel in vaccum(space)
@@bilaliqbalbaig3509 yes, yes I am
This movie didn’t get the love it deserved. As a big fan of Cavill’s Superman I can honestly say this is still one of my favorite Superman movies of all time.
4:00 what superman hears every day
the movie emphasized his lonliness very well. the flying sequences are also just perfect- incredible sound design
I love reading through these comments and realizing I'm not the only one who loved this movie
I love that in this movie, Superman actually saves and protects the citizens of Metropolis, and not just people he knows. He showed grace, humility, restraint and determination. I still think he looked too young, and Kate Bosworth was not great. But damn, it had some great Superman moments.
Another passive/aggressive poster. KB, perfect blend, Routh perfect age, in prep for series of films.
@@billhosko7723 Passive/aggressive? Please explain.
This movie deserves a sequel
This score is so underrated, and also change the title to “his” not “IT”
I know this feelings what superman is going through .
not to be accepted because you are different . it's hard to find a girl to love you because you are nice person and different .
it seems girls of today they don't like nice people , they think is very boring . superman suffer from that a lot .
Well that's prove they ain't shit.
Superman sounds like Batman.
Lack of promotion..
One of the most beautifully smfilmed movie 😍. It has emotion that is missing in every superhero movies. It's seems near to our heart.
"I am sending you, my only son" Sounds like God sending Jesus.
My thoughts too. It’s really beautiful.
FFS he is not a Jesus allegory, he is Moses. His creators were practicing Jews, not Christians
Yes i thought The same. 🥹This movie Is sooo perfect
The music to this movie is perfect. I love the mix of John Williams score with the new.
Me too.
it was powerful. kal-el has always struggled with it. even tho you've been raised as ahuman being...you're not one of them. and it shouldn't matter. he's loved regardless of whether hes from somewhere else or not, whether he's different or not but it still shows that people from somewhere else or people who are different, still feel like something is missing.
Dont forget that it's a sequel to Chris Reeves first 2 movies. So Jonathan is dead and his other father sacrificed his last energy to give his powers back.
Such a great scene!
I know I am in the minority, but I really like this movie. I liked how they paid homage to the Christopher Reeve movies and made it a continuation of those rather than do a whole reboot. I also loved the Marlon Brando lines that were in it and how Kal-el repeats some of the lines to his son. There were some things that weren't done well in the movie, but I felt overall that they did a good job with it.
this scene when he is up in space hearing everything n brando goes i give them you my only son.its hair raising iconic
Affirmative...
There's No Denying My Purpose....
Father I Just Need That One Spark.
I'll NEVER Let You Or My People Down
NEVER-EVER
Idc what they say this movies was good and his bro God I wish I had it like that
Kal-El understands his purpose
This scene actually made this movie endeared to critics. Several pointed out that his lone flight in silent darkness over the city summed up the essence of his never ending watch and it was a scene done with utmost subtlety both defining the character and making for a silently striking realistic visual.
Such a nice part of the movie. He stalks lois. Checks up on her. Then he flys off when she says she never loved him. You could see the hurt in his eyes. He has feelings too. He's resting above earth and then shoots off at blazing speed. Beautifully made movie. Loved every part of it. Man of steel was crap!
(Alternate universe)
Richard: Were you in love with him?
Lois: No
Superman: (Burns the house down with his heat vision )
😂😂😂I imagine this as if Henry Cavill was that alternate Superman😂😂😂
That would be “Homelander” from “The boys”
@@kw9066 True true
Ben Geiger Brightburn Superman lool
Zack Synder's Superman
Even when he partially flew pass over the civilians....car alarms triggered....he's very powerful
There is no excuse that we never got a Keaton/Reeve movie, but equally inexcusable is the fact we never got a Routh/Bale movie.
I think Bale's Batman was set in a world without superhumans, that's why.
A lot of people on the CW aren’t very good actors, i mean it probably has to do with the dialogue they’re given all the time but I don’t doubt Brandon Routh will be able to play Ray Palmer and Superman at the same time
Agree. They are (in character & personal nature) similar people.
Lol and he just did.
- wasn’t Smallville on cw?
Kal-El understanding "its" purpose? His....
Its not human. Its an alien thing
Brandon played an excellent Superman after chris reeves.I would love him to be as Superman again. We need a superman now more than ever on this earth
Looks like your wish will come true. Brandon Routh is reprising his role as Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths as the Kingdom Come version of Superman.
Esta película es la mejor de Superman
Very underrated movie this scene is beautifully shot.
The sound effects are just PERFECT
There's something mysterious about this scene like nobody knows of anything hes doing or his identity. Very settling
It was just gentle and very beautiful. No issues other than every day life.
oh God this takes me back to the summer of 2012 when i was ready going to Orlando from NYC, good times.
This movie is so underrated
I love it when all the chaos is only in one city
I just love this movie...
Ahh 2006 . . . good times . . .
Professor Comics facts I miss being a kid
We're in the wrong timeline...it really sucks.
I Love this film!💙💙💙💙
Even though you’ve been raised as a human being, you are not one of them. They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you… my only son.
The way they made him fly in this movie was so cool. I just watch video clips of him flying when I need to relax. If I could have one super power it would be flight.
Wa can blame the script but the flying scenes are legit.
i wish brandon routh could gt an another film as the role superman !!
he lookz gud in tht suit too..
Doney Joseph He did.
He is. He's playing a Superman in Crisis on infinite earths arrowverse cross over. In addition to his regular role.
Man if i was superman i would try my best to do good helping finish builds talking to people who need help with daily things helping nasa with space research and if some alien came to attack me i would quickly drag him away from any major building to avoid innocent and not needed deaths
Brandon was Superman, did a great job. This scene alone is better than all the recent movies by far. This feels like a real Superman movie..
I love this movie, I grew up watching it.
