I'm using this as a cast on for a pair of socks I knit with a US 0 - 2.00mm how many needle sizes up do you think I would need to be able to get it over the foot? Thanks Norman Love your videos! 🥰
knitting doesn't work like that. Only a swatch can tell you how many you need to cast on :) (setting aside that you didn't tell your shoe size or the yarn you are using) If someone tells you to cast on 96 stitches using this yarn and 2.00 mm needles, that's your failsafe indicator that they know nothing about how knitting truly works.

awesome. Yeah..and i mean since you already know the picot bind off this will be a breeze as it's essentially the same :)

I do a little variation... I cast on 4 stitches, and bind off 2.
That gives me a one stitch separation between picots, which I prefer.

This looks like the stretchiest cast on of all the "stretchiest cast on's"
well..in a way yes. But it's not stretchy..it just creates a lot of fabric! (tho that can sometimes mean the same thing)
