A little explanation here about the song and the version: There are two versions of the this song that appear in the game, fleeting words (family) and fleeting words (outsiders), both song exist in the game but played in the different scenario in the game, the another edit version is the combination of both version that appear in official soundtrack spinoff and published in youtube (for some reason they refuse to release the originals and release this one instead), as you can guess by the name, the family version is the first part of this version, and outisders version is the second part of this version, both version have same lyrics but the outsiders one is more complex due to background vocal
For context, this ost plays for a new boss fight. -SPOILERS AHEAD- This is a new boss fight made just for Replicant ver 1.22, she is a mermaid called Louise who originally is a shade monster. It starts from a side quest to a main quest with a mailman/postman who finds her in a shipwreck. The mermaid eats humans so she has the dream of becoming a human so she could live with the postman. As the main party of protagonists find her, they have to kill her since she went berserk.
This Another Edit version is an edited version they released so they could bait people to play the game haha. The original full versions together are more very epic or satisfying to hear completely. Also this soundtrack is new and original from Replicant ver 1.22. It was not present on the original Replicant/Gestalt games. Next NieR recommendation is Emil Karma from Replicant ver 1.22 or Emil Despair from NieR Automata either versions. My favorite ost from all NieR osts.
Really amazing OST!! Thanks for the membership my friend! I can react to any anime or video game theme you want and you will have the reaction video soon at the channel 🙌🏻😁
Such a shame, you met the another edit version, the full version it's called "Outsider" that's the one with the percusion. NieR series OST tends to have many variations of one song, for exammple: - Song of the ancients (Devola) - Song of the ancients (Popola) - Song of the ancients (Fate) - Song of the ancients (Atonement) In game the ost have transitions depending of the situation, for example: In NieR Automata, when you don't have any enemy around, the track is City Ruins (Rays of light) and when enemies approach, it transitions to City Ruins (Shades).
Thanks for the fact!!! Actually i'm a little bit confused with all the versions haha, for the next NieR video i'm gonna try to react to every version I found 🙌🏻
