Think we need a podcast on Middlesbrough soon, dire scenes coming from Teeside at the minute. Certainly plenty to talk about
I thought when you guys got neil warnock in you would easily survive relegation this season and even get promoted next season.
The relegation battle in the Championship is intriguing.
For a team in 20th they play a lovely style of football, it’s also crazy that they beat Man City at the beginning of the season, wish they stayed up
That feels like a lifetime ago.
wish they stayed up too
Todd reminds me of a young Aaron Ramsey before that season it clicked for him. That mentality to improve his game & attitude that ooze self-confidence is refreshing to see. He a humble man & I look forward to seeing how his career unfolds.
"An Instagram tweet" - Michael Bailey
The reason Emi plays on the right is because he can't be trusted centrally. Whilst he creates chances at an astonishing rate, he gives the ball away in highly dangerous areas like I've never seen. Playing him on the right is an attempt to minimise that.
This podcast had an Uncle Damien-shaped hole in it.
Right?!
I think the issue at Norwich is clear, the players they have who are good enough for this level are for the most part young and under the age of 23 (Aarons, Lewis, Godfrey, Cantwell and Buendía). Without that experience that is good enough running through the team Norwich have been too naïve at times and that has cost them vital points.
I love how when i do auto-subtitles it translates seb's name to "seb stafford blaugh".
Will there ever be a Leeds pod? 😭
Just waiting for a *good* time. Believe.
Tifo Football talk about darko milanic top shagger Phil hay has been desperate to talk about him!!
@@Tifo THANK YOU SO MUCH
Could you do a updated villa one
Relegation is what's going on at Norwich.
Norwich play good football they just conceded to many goals.
They've scored 26 goals this season so it's not that good.
9:50 I guess Career Mode isn't so unrealistic after all
Do one on leeds
#FlootSquad
That floot kills my ears when I play it on my tv
@@Pac_2o12 totally unexpected, isn't it
When a team plays 1 up front and the striker stops scoring and clearly looks like he isn't going to score again, you need to change it up.
Pukki has been absolutely terrible for months.
He has had little motivation recently for Norwich but he is in flying form for Finland.
That's why Daniel Farke has been such a bad manager for not changing it up for a few weeks and see how that goes, instead he does the same thing every week with the same result.
Their most promising player Cantwell has been left out for some reason recently.
They should have started Idah up front after he scored that hatrick in the fa cup.
They are missing a physical CB and a CDM.
The players clearly want Farke out after what happened after the match.
Norwich may find it difficult to keep Idah if Farke stays next season because he was left to sit on the bench for months when he should have been starting.
Cantwell is injured m8
The Future of Bristol City podcast? Especially with the current management situation
Who do you think will end up with Buendia and Cantwell?
Buendia wouldn't look out of place at Leeds as a replacement for Hernandez. Cantwell might fit in at a side like Saints
@@AJ-cs3cx Buendia is good to play in a top 10 premier League team.
Do you think all their key players will be picked apart? Like Godfrey, Aarons, Lewis, Buendia, Cantwell and Pukki.
I think Cantwell is definitely gone.
Buendia and Lewis are the two who they (the club) were probably most expecting to lose, even if they stayed up. Emi should go (but maybe not for as much as would have hoped) but I'm now not so sure there will be as much interest in Lewis. That's unfortunate considering the McCallum signing although perhaps the competition would be good for both players.
Godfrey and Aarons have obvious potential but it needs a club to buy in on that to the tune of a huge fee.
Pukki is the one I am most confident will stay! My reasoning is he's 30, he's been at top clubs before and it hasn't worked (as he's been open about how miserable he was at Seville and Celtic).
Although I personally don't blame him for the goals drying up, people may look at the last 6 months and decide he isn't worth the kind of fee Norwich would ask for.
I also think he's the kind of person who may value what he has here. It helps that his wife absolutely loves Norwich and Norfolk - the story goes that although he was unsure about the move, she told Teemu to sign so he did!
I think the league was simply too good for their squad really, it had so much quality throughout
The league I mean, their squad has quality but is lower Prem at best
What is goin on? Injuries to a load of 1st team players at the start of the season. Like playing Fifa on pro mode with a blindfold on.
Jordan Thomas is the next best player out of the academy btw
Liverpool should sign Cantwell and Burndia
Buendia*
Hello yo
Hello
Not a lot
A trip to the Championship
Todd Cantwell's ambition outweighs his talent. Norwich tried to play an attacking style but their players, including Cantwell, weren't good enough to do that. Hence, they are at the bottom of the PL table. When will these Championship clubs learn that survival in the PL means they have to play defensive football. If Cantwell was a potential star, he wouldn't be playing for Norwich and getting relegated with them. I would advise Cantwell to practise his target shooting more. Driving the ball forward constantly is being wasteful if you don't have the poaching skills to support that, or aren't clinical at scoring. It disturbs the rhythm of playing and it denies better scorers from having a chance at scoring.
Such players often get praised by fans of the club and football fans in general but it is selfish behavior and ultimately causes harm to the club.
Bournemouth survived 5 years comfortably playing attacking football
Sheffield United and Wolves haven't exactly parked the bus and they're doing fine
@@westbromdude Both are bus parkers.
@@efancording6363 Their luck ran out this year. Wolves and Sheffield Utd, two bus parkers, pushed them down the table, and probably out of the league.
Well, I watched Hughton manage Norwich in the bus-parking style for two seasons. Some of the worst football I've ever witnessed and it still ended up with us being relegated. Yes, we stayed up in 2013 but what often gets forgotten is that our form fell off of a cliff second half of that season and got no better in 2013-14.
By the time Hughton finally got the sack it had been 16 months of dross and the damage was irreparable. If only we'd sacked him sooner we might have stood a chance.
Ironically, Norwich were roundly criticised in the media for sacking one of their favourites.
